iHeartRadio for Auto for Android
Every morning I get in my car and the App tells me there is no internet connection and only offers an Exit button. Exit, relaunch same thing. I have to go into settings, apps and force stop then relaunch and it will connect. Meanwhile all other apps can reach the internet without an issue. Switching to apps from the stations themselves.
Re- installed just to leave a review, then will be unistalling. This app sucks bad. Landscape view only. Won't shut off runs in background using up data. Not good for those who pay for data. I'm unlimited. Hate the constant ads paid for subscription still ads. Music and pod cast are very buggy and buffers all the time. If your phone switches to 3g it's completely useless. Downloading playlists eats up memory. Sorry but it's time to destroy this app and rebuild from scratch.
To difficult to find what you want, no search just flip through. I am driving I want to find my station and go.
When I start this app after a while of not using it, it says it has no internet connection. I close it and reopen it and it connects fine. Happens at least once a day. Other than that it works fine.
Can't play through the phone speaker, must be connected with an audio cable or Bluetooth device... The previous version worked just as good and didn't not need an external connection. Oh, and only Landscape View???
I liked it until I realize you can't pause the radio or exit the app without turning off the Bluetooth. Why is there no exit button? This is the auto version, so supposedly safer than using the regular version, but if I have to fiddle with my phone to get the app to stop when I want, you have just defeated the whole purpose!
I thought the app would connect to my car's touch screen. Nope, you still need to fiddle with your phone while driving. I downloaded it assuming there would be a voice search option for safety, e.g. "Iheart play blues music." Unfortunately, you still have to manually change stations, and there is no search function at all. I found it's easier to connect to the car through Bluetooth and the traditional iheart app.
I think it's a pretty ok app. They just need to fix the network connection error issue with it.
Cannot switch stations in use. Yet the app will randomly switch stations. Laggy, will repeat several seconds of broadcast regularly. Bluetooth link to car radio is unreliable. Very disappointing.
I live up the hill (old hwy 80) so i use this app every day and night. I love it!
I dislike any app that doesn't allow you to search for a podcast. I shouldn't have to thumb through your list to find one when I can just use the regular app to save it and play it. This app is poorly planned
Latest update resulted in app to stop working every few songs and buffering until restarted.
Won't connect to internet, and after signing in will only ask me to connect to my car vie Bluetooth no other options to just listen on my phone.
To hard to get to stations you want to listen to. Favorites don't work at all. Changes to random station every once in awhile. Horrible app to use while in the cat.
I use it in the car to listen to Wisconsin football or hockey. Works well, no issues.
Will not play on my Android phone in my house using WiFi. This is the only I heart app that comes up in play store.
Every time I try to open this app I have to uninstall and reinstall because it loses connection to my internet and will not reconnect
This application is OK, but it needs a portrait orientation option and a pause button. It's mostly useless to me without them.
Unistalling forever because just when i was about to listen it went out. Pandora here i come
Pointless to have full access subscription and can't ACCESS my playlists from the auto app. Unsubscribing ASAP
Worse App ever only works with Aux and Bluetooth and screen locks horizontal until exit out of app
I hate the landscape mode and the search feature sucks. Also I can't use it with just the phone. I switched to Tune in Radio.
Won't work, says player error. I miss the old iHeartRadio app but it says it isn't compatible with my phone.
Pretty worthless compared to the regular app. Nowhere near the functionality.
Took away the search function. Much harder to find stations.
The update is bad. Landscape only. Have to connect to Bluetooth or headphone. Cannot SEARCH!!!
It is definitely a lot more driver-friendly! I love the app!
This is a reach out to iHeart. I recently had to factory reset my phone. Prior to this, I rated this app 5 stars...it was perfect! BUT NOW, with a fresh reinstall, the app DOES NOT remember my last station. I listen to one station, saved in my Favorites, and whenever I'm away from my car for more than a couple of hours, the app comes up to stations "Near You" instead of remembering the last station I was listening to. Why? It used to play my last station that I was listening to, and open up to my Favorites list, not the Near You list. Very FRUSTRATING! (Previous review: I love this app. Use with Bluetooth connection to my Pioneer AVIC-8000NEX with no problems at all. Streaming has never cut out on me (AT&T 4G LTE connection). Sound quality is superior to other radio station streaming apps I've tried.)
Had to replace a defective phone and found that for no apparent reason, the original IHeart app was no longer available for my Android. So i was forced to try IHeart Auto, even though I rarely use IHeart in my car. The lack of any search function makes this app next to useless.
Not bad except that I pay for the premium all access for IheartRadio, which is great when I'm not in my truck but my personal playlist is not available on this app and if I accidentally skip a song that I like I cannot go back.
This app breaks CONSTANTLY
Love my music and iHeartRadio app gives me access to it all!
Easy to use format. As much music as you can stand
Technology is awesome "
Love it
Better off with the regular iHeartRadio. Using Ford Sync and this rarely works. Tried it with a Galaxy S6 and a LG Risio. Rarely works. Regular iHeartRadio works every time. Just can't see what you're listening to on iHeartRadio but at least it works, which is more than I can say for this app. And no offline when it does work, which is rare. Good for throttled connections too so I don't need an expensive data plan.
Description says Kenwood integration but when you go to list of supported players it says they no longer support Kenwood. Why not? Why still say it in the description? Why do I have to log in when I have the regular app installed and logged into that one? Why is the login in landscape mode only? App seems half baked.
Invasive sign up but great app otherwise. Would not allow me to exit before signing up. Once I signed up it went away. Regardless if it is a bug or a feature it is invasive and almost uninstall worthy. Very annoying. Devs look into that.
Very disappointing. It works with my car sometimes, but others it can't find internet. So why do other apps work then? It lets me select music or podcasts at install, then you are done forever. No way to pick new music or podcasts? Are you serious? That's the worst design I have ever seen.

Thought I would enjoy listening to my favorite stations outside of the car but turns out I have to connect next it to my car to work? That makes no sense. If I wanted two listen to the radio in my car, I'd turn on the radio. Very disappointing, will uninstall.
