Revolutionary video news app...

Good start. However, it seems that there's no way to stop it from playing videos when u move to another app. It just keeps playing until u sign out. Then u need to sign back in. Just dumb.

Just installed update on stock 2013 Nexus 7. App immediately crashes when started. Can't provide feedback through app because it won't start.

The ability to choose a zip code for local news makes this a standout app for Android TV. Get your morning fix on things happening and the weather without having to sit through boring news "programming" The ability to choose quality is also a great feature and needs to be implemented like this in a lot more apps so that when your ISP is snail slow you can still enjoy the content.

Screen shuts off on device, I wane and unlock and am greeted with a login screen again and again

Guys, please streamline the setup process. I tried several times with 2 different email addresses. I got "try different username" or 'invalid credentials" hard errors. Tried clearing cache, then uninstall / reinstall. Still no luck. Please advise.

I received an update on the state of the Class6ix News app today, and as the developer said, it seems it was only down for a temporary update on their end. Everything is working great now. My only suggestion would be to give a little bit more time to select Upcoming Videos before letting the menu time out, but it's certainly not unusable as it is.

The video lag was so bad that this app was unusable on an 802.11n network with a galaxy s3.... Re-download and tried again after response... Appears to be working ok.

I've got to hand it to Active Developers... I, and apparently only I, was experiencing extreme technical difficulties (see below). Ted, one of the apps founders, reached out to me, and after a couple days and an update, it works even BETTER THAN BEFORE. My hat's off! OLD: The most current release has pretty much destroyed the apps functionality... Pity. ORIGINAL: This little gem has become a go to for my Chromecast. With frequent use it really does seem to learn your news interests.

Does one thing and does it really well. This is the perfect app to get caught up on the local news in the morning over coffee. I didn't care for the notifications because I rarely watch videos on my phone, but it is still an awesome addition to the chromecast.

I've turned off notifications in settings, yet I still receive then daily.

Could use more local news sources.

Love to be able to skip uninteresting segments and just catch up on the news that I am most interested in. Can watch any time of day, pause content, share videos online, and get news from stations I normally would never watch. Great user interface and tech support, too!

i love this app!!! great for snippets of the news it even pulls local stories great tech support also. chromecast support is a nice bonus. get this app even if you dont have chromecast.

I'm enjoying using this app with my chromecast, but I wish I could put in multiple local areas. It would be nice to be able to receive local news for the area I live in as well as areas that I used to live in. Hoping this feature is added soon.

Why do I have to sign in just to view news or watch videos?????? STUPID

This looks great. However, on my Samsung 10.1, it always starts in full screen, with no way to get back to the chromecast icon. The first time I ran it, the chrome cast icon was visable, but after that "start watching" goes immediately full screen and no way to change settings or to start the casting. Maybe not compatible with the 10.1? Edit- Thanks for the fast reply! Portrait mode did the trick! Great app, changed to five stars!

I would love if the app had a feature where you can pick your categories that you want it show videos of.

Makes it so I can watch the news since I got rid of cable

I like the app so far, but seems like 95% is from CNN. I suspect CNN just make more video available than anyone else. That said, the app works great and I love the amount of effort put into the instructions.

So far this has been a great app. It is a great way to catch up on the news when you don't have time to, or want to, sit in front of the TV. You can also share stories directly from the app. There is room for some improvement, which is why I only gave it 4 stars, but it is a great app that I can see getting even better.
