The city of Elgin's 311 mobile app allows you to stay in touch with what's happening in the Elgin community, as well as submit general questions and non-emergency service requests-- all from the convenience of your smartphone.
Connected to Elgin's 311 Contact Center, the free mobile app provides direct access to city staff as they help with your most pressing questions and public service requests, such as reporting an out street light or asking when the 4th of July parade begins.

I too cant get into requests to submit. It sucks!

The new (version 1.2) app is broken. I can't open the 311 Requests section, as it crashes when I try. I also can't submit feedback as it says "unable to submit feedback". On my wife's phone we can open the 311 Requests section, but get "submission failed".

Like others stated. Can't open app directly from notification and can't control sound notification. Frustrating. Let's you know when the plows are out and road work and road closer's are at. Also accidents location. Come on Elgin. I think you can do better.

In todays world technology is needed to share emergency situations etc. Why go to another app? Elgin 311 has it all. Great job Elgin &EPD

I like the app and find it very useful. I'd give it 4 or 5 stars if clicking on a notification would actually open the app to that notification. Instead it disappears and you have to go into the menu, find the app and then search around for the notification you were reading.

The new version is more useful and has better features, like saving my contact info to make reporting issues faster, and push notifications for important events. Edit: bumping the score down for now. I can't turn off the sound for push notifications, so if I don't want to be woken up late at night or early in the morning, I have to turn them off. The app should let you control whether it makes a sound for notifications.

Good job Elgin!!! Elgin and the Elgin PD do a very good job of keeping citizens informed on what's happening in the community. This app will come in very handy!

Needs work, 311 requests do not work, they used to. Now app crashes when trying to use requests. Please update this app. Other info is very helpful and useful. After unistall and reinstalled, 311 requests work.
