Eye In Sky Weather for Android
Great ui but useless since only support limited city. My location will detect 40 km away and there's no way getting accurate info. Just nice to see
A simple, accurate and slick weather app. Been searching and think I've found what I've been lookn for. Prompt daily forecasts with the all important humidity level display (all coming days) wich isn't always included in other apps. Lets me know when and how long to keep my ac running in those hot summer months. Simple yet attractive icon adjustments just right
11/27/16: I used to like this app. Nice graphics and used to only have small ad bar at bottom of screen. Since the most recent update, whole screen ads keep popping up. Very annoying. Going to uninstall. If you remove the extra ads then invite me back.
Great app but since updating to Nougat on my HTC 10, the weather notification isn't persistent. It seems to disappear randomly and to get it back I have to uncheck weather notification in settings, recheck it and go into configure weather notification then click ok to get it the notification back.
Love the UI, great look and icon choices, the default weather service is not accurate though. I have been comparing to other weather services, including Accuweather, and temperatures are off by a few degrees. Change default weather service or give alternatives and app would get five stars.
The reason I use this app is because it's really basic, and looks good which is what I want. I have a separate radar app because it seems like when you do an all in one weather app, they tend to be a bit bloated. I would be glad to pop for the pro version if I knew one there was still developments for this app. Going on 3 years since the last.
I used to love this app. Very accurate even on the 15 day forecast. Lately though it seems to get stuck on the same day. Uninstall and reinstall works for a while then we go through the same cycle again. Shame the updates have made it worse. I am still using it though because when working its good.
This is the best weather app I have ever used. The widgets can be made beautiful for any theme very easily. I would buy pro if it was open sourced. But I suppose if that happened the dev would loose money overall so I understand why its not. Maybe I am the only person from Colorado with no accuracy issues.
Let's face it: we don't want a weather app that draws too much attention to itself. Checking the weather isn't an experience; it's a chore. We need to do it, and we want to do it quickly, and then forget about the app that helped us do it. To that end, we want a weather app that doesn't ask for attention and doesn't take bring your phone to a grind. That's exactly what this app delivers. I am mostly unaware of it's existence on my phone. I use the app's notification feature to display the weather on the status bar, so I don't even need to "check" the weather. It's just there. It changes based on my location, and it automatically updates itself without draining my battery. I haven't had to launch the app apart from the first time to configure it. And that's impressive!
I find it frustrating that I can't change the size of the font in the forecast widget. This means that with the day text above and the temp text below, the icons are so small they are barely visible. I would rather just have the icons without so much text, or have the text be smaller, but there appears to be no way to do either.
As others have mentioned, Eye In Sky Weather quit updating over the Fourth of July weekend. It seems to be updating again for me. Perhaps this was an issue with the CustomWeather service used by Eye In Sky Weather. I really like Eye In Sky Weather as it has a "light" impact on the phone. Other weather apps have gotten bloated and are sluggish. I'm still somewhat cautious that Eye In Sky Weather hasn't been updated since March 2014.
Plz plz, add the "feels like" value in notification, i really enjoy those comparison and often feels like is closer to the actual value than the forecast, but that's physics... And also, expandable notif always expands on statusbar pulldown n is very hard to collapse back, using two fingers as a pinch...
Great interface. Easily customizable. More accurate than accuweather so far. Only one thing I would change. In the status bar it should have a degree symbol. If this can't be done an F for farenheit or a C for celcius would help distinguish this number from the others. Thanks.
The interface is ALMOST as good as that of the best iOS counterparts, however, since indispensable features are missing. For instance, what does Wind W20kmh mean - Wind FROM west, or blowing IN THE DIRECTION of the West? Why not denote the wind by an arrow instead of an abbreviation? They're are more missing features, but this one I'd say is the most noteworthy one, particularly for cyclists.
Good Weather Info app, allows adding multiple locations, simple important data. Liked black theme, v.good for reduced battery usage. No excessive internet data usage. Updates can be set to every 30 minutes, lowest duration, or manual refresh for instant update. Simple ADvertisement bar. But, no option to show tmprtr icon on status bar for last selected locn. Some city are not listed, but location can be chosen frm map, so its showing slightly inaccurate data for such cases. I posted review when i used v4.5.
Keep getting the message "weather is not available for [name of my town]. What's going on? This is my go to weather app and I've never had a problem with it 'til now!
This so has been abandoned I think. I'm going to use something else. Used to be really good but the worst now. It's been on the same temp for the past few days. Before then it would have the wrong location or wrong temp. It's been like that for a while now. I liked it because it worked with Dashclock.
This app is beautiful. You can customize so many aspects of its appearance, but you have no control over the most important aspect of the system...the data source. I don't know where it pulls its weather information, but it is usually not very accurate. I wish the dev would let us choose the source. I generally use this app to get a quick glance at the general conditions (usually have to manually refresh first to get the latest information), but if I want anything specific, I open Weather Underground.
I really want to make this app my keeper- it is clean, simple, easy to use, beautiful widgets, a lot to customize, etc. But, regardless of how often you hit the Refresh button, or even if you set it to refresh automatically every 30 minutes, it only ever actually updates its data once per hour. Refreshing manually doesn't do anything. Because of that, it is not accurate enough for me to be usable. If you fixed the refresh problem then I'd give this 5 stars and it would be my main weather app, but as it is now, I need to uninstall it.
Was working fine on my old phone, upgraded to a Moto G 2nd gen running KitKit (4.4.4) and now the widgets seem to randomly vanish and re-appear on my homescreen from time to time. Also sometimes have to manually refresh to see correct info on widget.
The weather widget takes a very long time to get started on Lollipop. Sometimes it takes almost 5 minutes with the spiral circle going round and round. Otherwise, still one of the most detailed weather widgets out there.
I love this app, it's beautiful, and it looks amazing with my Minimal UI icon theme. On multiple occasions I've compared the temperatures to other sources, like The Weather Chanel and Accuweather. The temperature shown on the app will sometimes differ by five degrees or more for whatever is the current temp. I would like to see the ability to choose different sources for weather data. If we only have to pick one, I'd like if it were AccuWeather. That's what the google search app uses, and it seems to be consistently accurate.
It's a great app. Really well designed and the weather is presented in an intuitive and lovely form. And the reports are surprisingly accurate in my country which is an achievement in and of itself. One thing I would like though is more icon sets. All in all I am definitely considering purchasing the pro version to support devs. Keep up the awesome work.
You cannot argue this is the best looking weather app on the market. Best of all you can customise almost anything in the app to change how it looks. The only problem is this is one of the most inaccurate application's on the market. This used to be one of the best.
I can't make background transparent, menu didn't change something. I'd like to choose the source of the forecast, for Europe it's not always precise. Also in widget I would like to see the weather on today, not only in next 5 days
Installed this only because of extension in Dashclock widget in KitKat rom. But totally become fool. No changes in Dashclock widget after setting up everything in app. Please fix.
It's top class for a free app, not in a weather sense rather in a widget sense, widgets are great, great variety.. good job guys :')
Refreshing problem fixed for me, might have been an issue with where the weather data was being pulled from. Back to 5 stars!
It may be accurate for major cities but here in rural northern Alberta it's way off. I did really like the design of the app though.
Ok it's not that accurate but a few degrees off isn't that bad just look out side instead of looking on the phone! Great widgets.
Recently got this app, really like the looks, design options and simplicity. Seems pretty accurate so far. However, one problem is that I have the update interval set to 30 mins but often it will tell me the last update was like 45, 52 etc.. minutes ago. Would give it 5 stars and consider paying for it otherwise. update:getting fed up having to clear cache to get it to update. Looked good at first but not so impressed. Will try something else. Shame.
Clean & simple design with icon customizations. It found my correct location quickly. The forecast appears basic but accurate. I wonder why it's named Eye In Sky when it seems to have no radar or satellite view from the sky?
This is the best weather app I have ever used. The widgets can be made beautiful for any theme very easily. I would buy pro if it was open sourced. But I suppose if that happened the dev would loose money overall so I understand why its not. Maybe I am the only person from Colorado with no accuracy issues.
wen i am not connected to net the temperature turns blank unlike other widgets. correct this. other apps use internal info and show a temperature
Looks great and battery use seems fine. Easy set up. Sometimes the weather conditions don't update correctly or it will show it sunny at midnight (it seems better now)..but I noticed on the Noaa site, they were wrong, too, so it may be a source of the info error rather than the app. The temp seems accurate mostly. EDIT 7/25. stuck 2 days behind...no refresh
I can not recommend. What use is a weathet app that is anywhere from 4 to 8 degrees off? Skip this one and move to the next
I am confused sometimes with your weather forecasts as they tend to not always be so accurate. For example, today in Windsor, Ontario, Canada it's very crappy outside and it says "Partly Sunny" but I don't think the sun has been out at all. I would say it's "Mostly Cloudy" instead. Thanks!
I love the simple minimalism, and the customizability of the widget. The big problem is that it doesn't auto-refresh: every time I open the app I have to manually refresh. The dev hasn't updated in over a year now, so I'm not expecting anything.
For some reason the app thinks I'm in a city I went to yesterday 30 miles away and it won't refresh even when I add and select the current city. Please fix so I know which weather I'm looking at

I have multiple weather apps installed to compare and help weed out the bad ones, and I've noticed this one doesn't give weather alerts (ex: no alert for freeze warning today) but the other big name weather all sent me a warning.
