About Business Class Email (BCE)

The Cisco Business Class Email (BCE) application helps encrypt your email and provides enhanced security features. To use the BCE application to open a secure email that you received in the Android email application, touch and hold the attached securedoc.html file, then select “Open in Cisco BCE.”
NOTE: To send an encrypted email, the Cisco BCE application requires access to the Cisco Registered Envelope Service or Cisco IronPort Encryption Appliance.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cisco BCE provides enhanced email security features such as read receipts, email recall, email expiration, and forward/reply control. Additionally, BCE removes the complexity of encryption and key management, so users can send and receive highly secure messages directly from their mobile devices. The primary benefits of the Cisco BCE application are:
• Confidentiality: BCE encrypts email to protect its confidentiality during transit.
• Encrypted email control: You have complete control over the emails you send, even after they are sent. The capabilities are:
• Read receipt: Sends a read receipt when the recipient opens an email.
• Email locking (enhanced recall): Gives you the ability to lock the decryption key,
disabling decryption for that email.
• Email expiration: Sets an expiration date for the email.
• Forward/reply control: Allows or prevents the recipient to forward, reply, or reply all. To maintain the security of your replies, you cannot change the list of recipients.

If you are an end user and have any concerns, please contact your organization’s support department. If you are a system administrator having difficulty configuring or using the application, please contact your designated Cisco support point of contact.
What’s New
• Selection of the recipient’s language: You can now select the recipient’s language for Registered Envelopes. This new option enables the application to determine which language is used for the message body, according to the locale set for recipients.

I don't have access to a computer right now and my insurance company needed a document by the end of today or I would have some issues. Well needless to say, the didn't receive the documents. Request failed is all this app says so what a waste of a download I thought would greatly help! It sucks DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!!

Q70%
by Q####:

No configuration file, no go! Waste of time and effort to download. Will tell my doctor to use different service.

Q70%
by Q####:

Tried to use it to read encrypted emails from my bank since their message said it would work. But when I opened it, it just says "No accounts configured". According to the user guide, the only way to set up an account is to get a configuration file sent to you. This makes no sense, since I already did create a Cisco account to read my bank's emails via web; if I already have that, why can't I sign into that same account on this app?

Q70%
by Q####:

Like pretty much everyone else, can't open anything. It either errors out on small messages or says the message (5MB) is too big...

Q70%
by Q####:

It worked before the upgrade. This version is the worst app in creation...run do not walk, but RUN from this app. It's totally useless! Disgusting!

Q70%
by Q####:

I have used this app to open emails from various medical providers for months without any problems. After the latest update every file I try to open results in the same error message.

C70%

Received secure email. Try to set up account to allow me to open it, no obvious way to do that or link. User friendliness totally lacking.

(Response from Cisco) "please be informed that our BCE application does not work with Android 6 or 7. Regards, David Zamora Cisco Registered Envelope Service (CRES) Support"

Open attachment. Request failed. Save attachment and open with file manager. Request failed. I can't read encrypted emails on the mobile.

I already have an account, but the app gives me no option to login with my info. It keeps failing to open the document. This is one of the worst user-friendly apps I have ever seen. This applies to the PC version as well, but at least I could open my document after jumping through his on the PC.

Looks a pretty app! Theme color should be warm color range. Are there anyone familiar with financial terms such as Note for National Treasury and Bond for Corporate Equity, etc., which means the app should work for internally in banks and securities to raise Fed rate friendly, not an email app. Thanks!

I can't stand that my doctor's office chooses this awful software. There's no configuration option. I try to download the html document and don't get the option to select the app to open it with, therefore I can't read any of my messages.

Q70%
by Q####:

Tried to open secure email doesn't work. Nothing asking me to set up account information or asking for password, it simply fails. Not even a customer support link to receive help from. Hey Cisco! Try creating software that isn't buggie or simply garbage.

Q70%
by Q####:

Tried to open a secure doc with this on my phone, and it just says "request failed" - what a waste of time and waste of data (7.5MB to download via cellular network) while on the road away from laptop. Totally useless!

Q70%

Awful, Awful application. Doesn't work at all and I've wasted countless hours that I'll never get back trying to figure this mess out! SMH at my bank for forcing me to try to use this crap.

Q70%

Crap don't work. Registered email, setup account and password...open app and it says no accounts configured? Uninstall and reinstalled, still says the ssme thing....worthless piece of crap.

New version is un-usable. App only has 2 buttons: About and Tutorial. What good is a tutorial if I can't do anything in the app? Old version worked; after importing that data when prompted, now nothing works.

F70%

Have received multiple messages, to multiple accounts/domains, and each time I try to use this app to open them it says request failed. Come on Cisco, I expect and demand much better from you!

I wish PGP were more readily available and easy to use, so more people could send encrypted email more easily, but this will have to do for now.
