Circuit Jam for Android
The puzzles are great! Electricity is a moving thing and this captured that. If you can't solve a puzzle one way, keep trying. Find another way. Push through! Note: description clearly says in-app purchases. The price (roughly$3 when I bought it) is less than a fancy coffee. For the level of thinking and effort that went into the puzzles, plus the design and execution of the app, it was money very well spent.
Can't wait to see more components puzzles added, getting into inductors, ac voltage, logic gates, etc. You could have a very powerful educational tool if you expand this further. An interactive text book, if you will. Yay for adding capacitors! Will there be any more additions?
It's a fun learning game for basic electronics, but for the $2.99 that I paid I would expect a whole lot more. Someone else commented, it should have advance electronics lessons. Again since I paid for it I was expecting a whole lot more. $0.99 game perfect price, may even be okay at $1.99 since it's a learning game, but for the $2.99 price I shouldn't be able to finish all the lessons over a weekend. Add more advance lessons and I'll be able to give it more stars. It really is a good teaching game. GREEDY
I found this game through every circuit I thought maybe it would include logic circuits too but it's just the basics. I beat it in about 2 hours so for 3 bucks you can get about 2 hours out of it.
Too simple for anyone with any electronics experience. It's just the basics with basic components and the puzzles never get challenging. I like the concept, but not worth the 3 bucks. I will likely look into everycircuit, but read about that one prior to purchase this time.
Great game for learning about electronics. I went through all the puzzles to remember how all these things work again. Since it's an educational tool, would be helpful to go over formulas (as a reference) and include a transistors puzzles section since they are so vital to almost all electronics operation.
Love this app. It's helping to rekindle the knowledge I learned so long ago and started to forget over the years. And what a fun way to learn. This would've been a great supplement years ago but it probably would've cost an arm and a leg. This app is well worth the measly $2.99 it's going for!
It gives a good intuitive understanding of some of the basic components, but ignores others. Current sources, voltage sources, switches, resistors, and capacitors are taught individually. Inductors, transformers, diodes, transistors, op-amps, etc are all skipped. It also lacks combinations, eg RC circuits and the RC time constant aren't touched. Thevenin's and Norton's laws are ignored and could make great puzzles. It feels half-finished, the underlying simulator could be used far better.
It's a good app, but it doesn't sync across devices. I bought the paid version on my tablet and had gotten so far, went to my phone, no premium or levels completed. I thought if I had removed and re installed the app maybe it would sync. Now, I'm back to square one.
I like this app. Unlike the other app by you guys that I downloaded (and claimed that I would understand circuits with it) this one actually teaches. What I do NOT like is that there is NO mention (that I saw) about this being a trial, which it is. I read the entire description too, looking specifically for a price. The price certainly is not mentioned and if the fact that it's a trial was mentioned then it was either very subtle or misleading. I did buy it regardless because I really like it though.
This is an incredible game for all who loves basics of electronics, simple and addictive! But what about transistors, diodes and all that stuff? I'm little disappointed, so I'm waiting for more levels and components
Why does the circuit need to be attached to ground if the electricity bubbles don't go into the ground? Makes no sense, the ground does nothing at all but it needs to be just connected somewhere? The flow of electricity bubbles makes absolutely no sense.
This apps offers a fun way to kill some time by learning circuits. I would have given five stars, but for the price of three bucks I would have expected more levels and also more dificult circuits.
The puzzles amount to no more than fiddling with some basic arithmetic and flicking switches until your brain becomes numb. I was eternally hoping that the challenging puzzles where just around the corner. They weren't. Just to add to my misery, after finishing it I still have no idea how circuits actually work or how to build one that could do something even remotely interesting. A lot of wasted potential here.
I love puzzle games, but I've gone through so many of them they were starting to feel monotonous. Then I found this one which doubles as an educational tool, and it was free! Incredibly well-designed!
The whole basic idea is to teach people about circuits. Epic failure. Your eyes are distracted almost the entire time watching the scope and memorizing the order to hit the switches. Total joke to pay for full version after level 1. Try having a basic set of levels in each subject, and then pay for unlock of advanced set of levels in each subject. Someone might actually learn how electricity works!
Pretty fun way to brush up on electrical circuits. Only flaw is you have to look away from the circuit to keep tabs on the waveform above. An overlap would be better in my opinion.
So far it's a great way to learn about circuits. Some of the levels can be REALLY challenging. I would like to know if there are solutions to all the levels just in case we stuck.
great refresher and awesome for mynkids too! too bad it doesn't detect the companion app is installed and launch directly to it instead of Play Store... minor moan. lol.
THIS IS A DEMO! Needs to be called Circuit Jam Lite/Demo. This should not be in the free section. Since you have to pay to get the FULL product ($2.99). Otherwise the game is fun and you do learn basic circuit knowledge. STILL A MISLABELED product (those greedy marketers).
For some one like my self with a very basic knowledge of electronics it's a very informative little app. Little being the operative word though. I completed it in less than 3 hours of total game play, not really worth £2.50 so it looses a star, add some more levels and more components to the sand box and I'll give it the full 5 stars
You have to pay so much attention to clicking on time, that you can't relax and analyse what's going on with the scheme. Also, the editor could be a bit more simple.
This is a great app for learning and fun, if you have a love for electronics you will like this and learn stuff. Would like a tad more written info but the puzzles are fantastic for teaching by themselves. Get Every Circuit by this same author, it's amazing for testing out my ideas on the go when I can't get home to my breadboard or just have some time to kill! Good job dev!
Nice game but I have no appreciation for games that toss "pay three dollars if you want to continue", and this one doesn't even tell you the price until you click the buy button. Some supermarkets do the same - and it annoys everyone in the queue behind me, especially if the cashier is slow to hear.
If you don't know what's happening here, exile yourself from society, find a cave, live happily ever after. TODO: Needs settings, with options like prevent screen sleep
It's good.. but I paid for the full version.. and it didn't unlock the rest of the components as I wanted. Instead I have to continue to play the games. What on earth did I pay for then?
The animations are well done making the game easy to play and rendering the invisible visible. Principles of electronic circuits are demonstrated with challenges where you have to connect up the correct circuit and then flip the switches to get the desired output.
I ignored Circuit Jam for so long, and just now tried it out. Impressive work! I wish there was something like this when I first started learning electronics. Please consider adding an additional chapter and components on intermediate circuit design subjects.
I can see it making it simple for a beginner and fun
I wish I'd played this before trying to take my university course. The hands-on-learning environment that this game provides is WELL worth the price. Try the first levels before you buy it to see four yourself!
First off, the app needs to be a lot more clear about the fact that it is not free. As for the actual app it's great. I learned quite a bit and think many other people could as well. I am disappointed though by the fact that only the very basics are taught, I would like to have more puzzles for transistors, diodes, and transformers and such in the future.
Bought everycircuit but struggled to understand it. This is very helpful and fun
Learn, test, and troubleshoot circuits. The description clearly says "in app purchases, and it was worth the 3 bucks to get the whole thing. This is a companion to "Every Circuit" app, which is $14.99 for all the levels and upgrades. Need explanation? Get a book on circuitry. Treat this as a game. The hints are like "cheats," and when something is not available, that's like an impenetrable wall. So get your game on! Working through the circuits is a great way to level up!
Great educational tool. This WILL teach you circuits quickly and as a game it gives you good learning feedback. It works well and is bug free. It was definitely worth the few dollars to get all the levels and sharpen up my knowledge after years away from circuits. The only thing I wish is that there were harder levels to sink my teeth into. It's a bit of a grind without more challenging puzzles.
You can only play the first set of puzzles before you hit a pay-wall. It's only 3 USD, but the program is marketed as a free game, not pay-to-play.
I learned a lot more than I thought I would and a lot quicker than sticking my head in a book. Fun, challenging and informative. Want way more levels to hammer in the skills it teaches.
Its a great game that has reinforced what I know, and taught me a few new things. Would be nice if it could potentially work its way up to advanced circuits theory, but is wonderful so far. It's a little bare bones so far but I'm sure that will change in time.
Good idea, implementation could be better. The simulator fails to pause at the right time every so often, forcing the user to start over
I like playing with electric circuits.

Need to Read app info with more care. Game looked very informative and was quite addicting and has a steady learning curve however I just got into it and it's like purchase now to continue . Should be labeled as lite version. Great game if you've got money to spend
