The Cincinnati Enquirer for Android
Love this app for local news but their idea of"breaking news" is far more abundant than mine. Had to turn off push notifications because it was squawking way to often.
Too many ADDS
I prefer a print newspaper over digital. Especially since this app doesn't really have everything the print edition does. But it's good at a glance. Probably won't renew when it expires.
The popups need to go away or I'm cancelling my subscription.
Too many news alerts on unimportant stories. Alerts are used to hype readership rather than give true alerts. Also, in settings, I requested not to get sports alerts, but get them anyway. Final issue is that, other than the first few stories, some stories are not changed for days or even a week.
I thinking was good things to know alot information about newspaper ???? and everything else prove
Liberal biased
Unfortunate!
Still full of typos and errors. A real embarrassment to the city.
They do a great job of covering the city.
Will not open on 2 different tablets worthless app
Used to open. Now won't. Have deleted & reinstalled multiple times. Deleted & reinstalled yet again. Still won't ooen.
Wont load
Garbage app
This is supposed to be an app for The Cincinnati Enquirer but Cincinnati IS NOT listed as one of the cities the app supports! Seriously?!?!? What a major oversight
App wont open.
Does not provide a gr8 deal of news except the headline stories.
The Cincinnati Enquirer attacks every hometown institution (especially the region's largest employer, UC) as if they just slapped their momma. The UC hate is unsurprising, as president Rick Green is a self-proclaimed OSU devotee and married to a Xavier grad. I appreciate investigative journalism, but the Enquirer just takes these shots to rack up the page views. It's unprofessional, and sadly all too common in modern media. You can thank the Enquirer's owner, Gannett Company, for playing a part in that.
I gave 2 not one since you can read selected headline and some articles unlike with our PAID ONLINE SUBSCRIPTION which kicks us into a continuous sign-in loop. Customer service isn't. They don't care. Asked for a supervisor 2 weeks ago. No call yet!
Why does the mobile website allow online comments but the app doesn't? I prefer the mobile website for that reason, but the mobile website now limits the number of articles I can read even though I sign in and I'm a "full access" subscriber.
The latest update doesn't work. Stories don't load. Only headlines
Despite being a subscriber, I still have to deal with ads in the app. On top of that, there is no way to log-in to the app to say I'm a subscriber, as the little key icon is not visible. Disappointed.
Locks up constantly since last update. Ads overwhelm. Terrible. Totally unprofessional
It is ok I like the way the inquier lays out their articles i have not had any problems so far
Locks up constantly since last update. Ads overwhelm. Terrible. Totally unprofessional
Update took care of all of my concerns. App is much better since update
I'm a subscriber but the app has changed and I can't use it any longer. I click an article IN THE APP and it wants to open my browser! WTHeck???
Constantly "Stops Working". Uninstalled.
This download is new to me. Love reading the paper and now here it is in the palm of my hand.
Good article formatting, better multimedia support, and doesn't return to the top of the article list every time I hit back. Great update!
App updated yesterday. Widget crashes app every time I try to open it. WHY CAN'T THIS APP EVER BE STABLE?
This app has had issues on and off (mostly on) since I had a Galaxy Nexus ... all the way through to the Samsung S5. For a (short) while in the past year, the notifications worked almost all the time, with apparently random times when the app would crash, then suddenly it began 100% crashing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the apps (regular and print edition) in the past and not stopped the crashing. I've sent crash dumps to the app authors numerous times with no improvement and no response indicating anybody is listening. I'm going to try one more time to do a complete uninstall of both apps, then only install the regular app and see what happens. This has gone on so long it makes you wonder if the Enquirer just paid somebody to get a basic app out on the market, and then dropped all support. Very disappointing as the notification feature was truly useful.
Nice new look but almost a useless app due to it crashing regularly.
Im at a lunch table and in process of leaving an Enquirer headline caught my eye. I remembered the headline and tried to search on it later. Much to my disappointment that feature is not available in the app.
This app freezes too often (no other app I have locks up). If it weren't for the crashes it would rank higher.
Force closes almost every time I open the app. Freezes happen less often, but the app seems very unstable.
Every time there is breaking news and I tap on it, it crashes. Every time.
Good app but when you get a notification and swipe down to click it, the app shuts down.
Get it together Gannett.

I like being able to keep up with the news. What I don't like is the breaking news notifications, I get real breaking news and even more feature stories. Perhaps I'm off on my expectations, but I didn't think a story about something that happened 40 years ago or a recap of what happened this past year is really breaking news.
