The app change a lot since last version. If the stock showing price of 0 which means the app doesn't support this stock any more. The reason is that some people use it for company use and generate a lot of query. There is why I have to stop using the pervious API and use some free version(limit stock is allow). I am sorry that it doesn't work for you and I hope you understand.
For the sound and vibration of notification, please make sure you enable it system setting and don't mute your phone or on disturb mode (you can set as priority to show notification when on do not disturb mode is on). Please refer to the screen shoot for configuration.
Stock Alert is a financial app designed for smart phones and mini tablets delivers real-time quotes for all financial instruments including Stocks, Options, ETFs, market indexs and etc from almost all stock markets in the world, such as: Dow Jones, NASDAQ, DAX and etc. You can also view the value of favorite stocks or major market indexes within the app.
Stock alert helps you track your favorite stocks with ease of mind by way of automatic alerts. It builds with a notifications system that sends alarms when a stock hits a determined low or high price. You can choose to update stock price information manually or set it to update automatically in the background. Also you can choose different update interval and update period for your stocks. When a stock price hit the target, it will trigger a notification.
You can maintain a stock list and an alert list by adding, removing and sorting features. To edit an existing alert, just tap on the stock in the. To remove an alert, swipe the stock and press the delete button. Also you can sort the stocks by drag in the stork.

How to add stocks?
1. Tap "Add stock" button to add a new stock in your list.
2. Type the name or symbol of stock you want to add.
3. Tap on search image (magnifying glass) or simply 'enter' on your soft keyboard.
4. Tap on the name of the stock you want to add.
How to setup alarms?
1. Your newly added stocks will bring you to the page of setting up the targeted High/Low price.
2. On the home screen tap the stock for which you want to setup alarms
3. Tap save.
We respect our user's privacy; we need the following permissions from you:
+ Network Communication -We need to check the device's Wi-Fi status
+ Run at Startup -We need to run as a background service to check the update stock info

Waste of money! I even bought the pro version. The app has been crashing constantly and it does not provide any notifications on the price changes that I've set up. I wish there was a way to get a refund on this

I don't know how many times this pop up telling me "Unfortunately Stock Alert has stopped" just this morning alone! You need to recall this app or something, because it kept interrupting with that pop-up (oh my goodness, it just did it again while writing this!) While I was doing other things! Come to think of it, I can't remember the last time I even alerted me!

It was a very simple app - add the stock you want to monitor, set the high-low prices, and it will alert you when the stock reaches those triggers. Unfortunately, it has just stopped working and dies not fetch current prices of any stock any more. I hoped it would get fixed and waited for a while, it did not. Uninstalled, RIP.

Very easy to use..i like becasue i dont want an alarm continusly. I like to set 30min or more because im working.... But..you can not see the price high or low for set the alarm... And you can not rotate the android phone...

I use the premium version and have >15 alerts set. The app itself is fairly basic but does exactly what it promises. I like being able to see how the shares are performing between upper and lower limits that I set. I had a slight problem recently where the app wasn't updating for no obvious reason but it was fixed after 36 hours and all working fine. I was impressed that the developer was quick to offer assistance even though it wasn't needed in the end. I would definitely recommend this app.

Works well and doesn't require unnecessary permissions - like most other stock alert apps. Simply set your high and low stock prices and select alert intervals. As easy as 123 -set and forget. I have been using this software daily now and it works very well. I'm using Android 5.1.1. Thanks to the developer for making this application.
