About Physics Toolbox Tone Generator

This tone generator app produces a continuous tone. The user can modify both the frequency (~pitch) (0 - 20,000 Hz) and the amplitude (~volume) of the sound wave. The wave shape can also be modified as sin, square, triangle, and saw-tooth.

This app can be used in science education in conjunction with a sound meter to determine the inverse-square law for sound intensity, or with another tone generator to produce audible beats (by combining two tones of slight different frequencies).

It is quite impossible to write a frequency number properly in this app.

left right volume for binaural beats individual frequency selection and stereo earphone option is missing Please fix the problem in next update we want background play option

Needs kHz frequency generator with frequency from 0.1to tenths

Don't know much about messing around with sound frequency waves or how they alter states of consciousness, but a simple tool like this sure makes for some great experimenting.. Now all I have to do is some actual research.. Perhaps even some brain storming -like how to incorporate mathematical principles pertaining to pi.

Could you make the app more friendly for people doing experments with human brain waves. I love that you can set the hz by typing it in. Many things give off more than one frequency at a time. It'd be nice to use three pitches at once. Also decimals of hz be great. I'd love to use all three of the frequencys known in the earth's megnetic phsire. It's a must for me that this app can run in the background. As soon as the screen shuts off the sounds shut off. This is better than other apps I've used. Thx! I'm now adding that if you could program in a way to amplify a wave every time a wave returns and be silent to not counter itself tell the wave returns I'd love you! :) I'd give you a big hug!

Sound completely stops when the display sleeps or if you open another app.

I love this app it will fix your subwoofer

I really like this as I'm very interested in brainwaves and altering them. If I could play this whilst my phone's screen is closed it would be great. Thank you.

Simplest ever 90 + grandparents use it frequently, neighborhood cats and dogs just love it....

I plan to do some playing around with this in the Underwater Acoustics class I teach. Any thpughts about giving it a more robust volume control where it has a decibels readout?

K70%

It does exactly what it promises.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Simple, lightweight, no permissions, ad free, great for testing audio equipment.

Works perfectly, easy to use interface. Can be used as a hearing test, or to just freak dogs out. This could also conceivably be used as a function generator for analyzing electronics by using the audio jack to connect it to a circuit. If you like this app then try out the Physics Toolbox Suite (by the same developer) to take advantage of all of the sensors on your device! It includes this app and many more all in one package that is still free, still has no ads, and still uses minimal permissions (so it's non-invasive).

Been on the lookout for something like this...no...exactly like this. Thank you.

Pretty much you can read the title and get my opinion. No extra permissions needed, it runs, it generates a tone at the desired frequency which is all i wanted. No complaints, does its job with no ads or cost with my S5.
