Chrometa Call & Time Tracker for Android
Very happy with my Chrometa time keeper... Finally I have something that allows me to quickly calculate and demonstrate hours of client work and where it all goes. No more second guessing from the client. No more second guessing my staff !
Great app for tracking calls. Saves me a lot of time when I have to bill
This app is poorly developed from a very basic "is this legible" level and beyond, and in its current stage is only useful to passively run in the background, and hope you remember to sync your data. 1) crash closes constantly on Nexus 5x/Android 8.0 2) picture import "error choosing images" every time 3) for software premised on accurate, efficient time tracking through passive automation, the fact that I have to *manually* sync calls and texts... It doesn't track anything else...instead of relying on a push function is unexpected, in a bad way 4) can't create new projects in the manual entry or timer features, or assign existing ones to calls, and you can't create and assign keywords. The time entries also disappear, unlike every other tracker I've ever used where you can click to continue tracking the same entry or others among prior entries, whether on a new line or not. 5) can't distinguish texts from calls or know how many of either you made or for how long (what if I don't charge for leaving voicemails? What if a text wasn't billable but the phone call was?) 6) the charts are completely useless - and contact names are in LIME GREEN TEXT ON A WHITE BACKGROUND. Even if the font color were visible to the human eye, it's still **tiny** and doesn't zoom. A monthly view has two point font maybe?? Also noticeably absent is information i would expect to see in a chart over time, like "today's date" or "[date range for this week]" or "October 1-31" but that might trick you into thinking you can see earlier time periods, which you can't. 7) importantly - why doesn't it passively track applications in use, too? Surely I'm not the only one reading, researching, or drafting emails or other documents on my phone. I spent 170 hours on my phone last month, and only 3 were calling and texting... Lots of potential uncaptured time there, if I weren't using other apps. Tl;dr: underdeveloped and buggy as is. I just started a 30 day chrometa trial so I'll give the primary program a fair chance. But in its current state, I will have to keep using toggl and ubhind to fill in the major feature gaps in this one.
Great application and a way to capture all your time
Best app for manage time
With Chrometa installed on my computer, my hours are automatically being logged. I don't have to tell it to start recording or remember when I started and when I stopped- it's already working in the background while I work. All I have to do is review the entries and categorize them to the appropriate task or client. Whether it's online, working on a document, or on my phone, it's all there. I don't have to think about how much time I'm spending on something- with Chrometa, I know. It's the only browser history tracker I've found that also tells you how much time you spent on what website, but it also logs phone activity and computer activity. Time can be tracked, categorized, downloaded, and even billed using Chrometa. Once it's installed, you just go to work- no need to turn anything on or activate it when you need to track something. And if you try to find a way to turn it on or activate it, Chrometa would logged the time you spent trying!
We just switch for Chrometa and really enjoyed the app ! We definitely recommend it to companies that needs to identify where staff/managing director spend theirs time. You will also be able to identify time well spent and wasted. Yet, to be 2017 dream app Chrometa needs some improvement on the invoicing and project part. Integration with Quickbooks online is much appreciated. We will definitely write a few words on Chrometa to our blog !
I wish I'd found Chrometa earlier. This app saves me an unbelievable amount of time. I used to spend hours ensuring client invoices reflected accurate time charges.
Mobile app times out when syncing. Error Chrometa has stopped responding wait or cancel. Need to hit wait sometimes multiple times to sync. Never quite sure if it is working and to validate and/or reconcile on desktop.
I've been using chrometa for about a year. Very helpful for tracking my phone calls. I bill client's by the hour so it's very helpful to keep track of
As a busy owner, it's nice to go back and allocate my time. I am constantly changing course all day as we are growing. This app helps a ton with capturing billable time.
I wanted something that would track the time I spent working for clients without having to physically document each minute. Chrometa has fulfilled that requirement.
Great App for keeping track of you phone minutes and text messaging. Also has one that you can install on computer to track time on there too. Saves me a lot of writing.
I was always hesitant to use Chrometa due to the price, but then I figured all of the other programs I had pieced together to accomplish some of the same things; just being able to catch the text messages with the Android App has allowed me to bill enough to cover the cost.
Simple amazing program. My favorite part is that it tracks the little things that in one day get behind fast, but take forever to catch up. Emails and text. Love that it is tracked for me.
Chrometa - wish I had found this earlier.
I am an independent consultant and this is a great tool for tracking the time i spend on various clients. It's so helpful that it tracks based on the actual time you spend in a document or on an email not on whether that document/email is open. I really like the fact that you can set up rules so that it tracks the time for you. The two areas I see for improvement are - flexibility/adaptability of the invoice system - I need to be able to create different formats that it won't do. And it is a bit of a delay between when you work on an item and when it appears in the tool. Overall, it is a huge help!
Chrometta, and their system of passive time keeping, allows me to go through my business day without the need to write down phone calls for billing. Every text and call is captured by this App. All of this information is sent to the computer based program. Afterwards I can assign each call and text to a client and project. Chrometta also offers a rules system that will tell the App to ignore calls I tell it are personal. This takes time to set up, but once completed makes time keeping on very efficient.

Great App. Love it.
Lacks one critical feature to make it brilliant: post-call pop up to document the call. If used for billing, a client wants to know the nature of the call and why it is being billed. So after the call is completed the app would open a window for a description, if required. This would be included in the exported report. For that I would pay gladly.
I've been using Chrometa to track my freelance hours for a few months now. It's great to be able to focus on my job an let Chrometa keep track of my hours for me. A lifesaver!
It gets better and better.
If you bill for your time, Chrometa will pay for itself within minutes. This Android app captures all my client-based phone calls and text messages and gets them right onto a timesheet for me. I use the keyword-based rules engine to automatically bucket these entries to the right client and project. It's seamless... and makes me money!
This app is better than others. I have used Chrometa for a month so far and absolutely love it and this app just made it better. It has made me money because I no longer forget to bill for my calls or texts. Thank you Chrometa!!
This is a good app that easily tracks time. You can capture all your telephone calls & texts to clients right on your Android phone. Convenient & necessary.
Love the product. It pays for itself with that one email or call made on the fly that you forget to log or forget how much time it took. I find that they busier I am that my exposure to lost income increases as manually tracking time logs is very challenging. This product helps me realize all of the income I work hard to generate. Plus it help legitimize your time to the client and eliminates doubt from them perspective.
A good product that does what it says and helps to identify what I do in a day, specifically. It would be nice if the phone data uploaded automatically and/or in real time. It would be nice if you could get reports on the phone. Alerts? Generally the best product like this I have seen. Help is very responsive.

I don't LOVE it yet but I sure do like it. Still trying to learn how to use it but, so far, I know that I've billed more forgotten time than realized I was missing. That makes it financially worthwhile. But I need to get familiar with it since I still find some of it a bit confusing. I'd recommend the free trial to anyone that works on an independent contractor basis and has multiple clients communicating with you on a daily/weekly basis.
What a great productivity tool. Automatically tracks the time I spend on task, even reminds me to note when I am away from the desk walking the dogs! Not only does it help me to accurately and efficiently bill my clients, it helps me see where those wasted minutes slip through the cracks every day. Haven't tried to integrate with my QuickBooks Online account yet, but am told it will export to QBO for invoice preparation. Looking forward to that time saver! It does take some time and focus to tag and annotate each activity, but the tools to memorize a file name or email or phone number helps with that somewhat. And far better than forgetting some billable time, or having a little scrap of paper with a note and time.
Have been a Chrometa user since I bought the 2.0 verson in August 2009.
– this app takes care of phone calls beautifully.
Didn't realize what a charity I was running until I started actually biling for these calls!
Syncs to my timesheet on the web – and then I export it out to QuickBooks.
The call tracking is really the important thing for me though.
1. Requires login details every time. 2. Doesn't list phone numbers called unless they're in your address book. This presumes that business contacts and their numbers are in one's personal address book. Why would they be? In my case there are hundreds and although I don't won't them in my address book, I do need to be able to identify who I called in Chrometa by their number.
I *literally* capture thousands of dollars in billable time that I otherwise would lose!!!
once i went passive timekeeping i never went back... ☺

the app is somewhat easy when you have the time to figure it out. the issue i have is that when you sign up you are not made aware that your unable to use all the features. You have to upgrade to $50/month to use all the features and make the app worth while. I would not recommend this app if you have alot of billing etc to accomplish.
