About Behavior Status

Behavior Status is aimed at Parents and Teachers alike. Use it to record the daily actions of your child or an entire classroom. Childhood behavior is easily recorded using the simple Green/Yellow/Red stoplight mechanism currently employed by many schools, day cares and parents alike. Also works great for use in teaching kids with Autism or ADD/ADHD.

The information recorded can be viewed over time on a child by child basis using the color coded calendar view. Use this history information to help encourage good behavior with simple rewards. Recent updates added the ability to store notes as you make status changes and better support for teachers.

A great app but data export only shows overall behaviour which begs the question, Why allow users to add options? Can summary and export include all customised fields? Would definitely be worth 5 stars then

This app works great. Kids quickly get the point of the color system and you can modify it for up to five different colors/statuses in the preferences option. This was a major plus, since my first grader was already accustomed to a color based behavior chart from school.

We've dealt with some behavior issues with my daughter, and I have ADHD. This app let's me monitor BOTH of us. In kindergarten, her teacher had a similar behavior system, and she loved it, so I searched forever to find one that offered more colors than just red/yellow/green. We each have our own "class." When listing behaviors, don't forget a "misc" for things that don't occur every day. We have "shopping/errands" as one behavior since its routine and frequent, but not daily, "travel" (very frequent, as all family is out of state), "visiting/visitors," "eating out," "church," "special occasions," then one truly labeled "misc." At the end of the day, we each give ourselves a color for the day as a whole, and we give each other a color (and she's shown she's not afraid to not give me a green!!) We have a progressive reward system. Her reports go to her dad; mine to an accountability buddy. It shows us both how we're doing, and shows behavior patterns, too. A MUST HAVE for our family!

I used the same method on paper daily and now this app allows me to keep the data organized and be able to analyze it it could use more user friendly styling but for now it gets the job done

I use this app for data collection for applied behaviour analysis and it is great. Simple to use and easy to review the data. I'm glad that the new version works again! However I still have problems. The widget (which is incredibly useful) doesn't work as the app just crashes whenever I try to place the widget. Also, when I try to add a note it tells me that the data cannot be saved and stays on the screen with the time selection. If I check the log, however, the note is saved. Android 4.3, SGS3.

Easy to quickly log information. Emails reports easily. However, not all the status levels appear in report when using the 5 leveled scale. Fix this for higher rating.

Q70%

Time consuming. You couldn't decide what colour your kid went to as it averaged them and moved colours at some unknown point presumably buried in the software.

Tried a few other reward charts but always get bogged down in the detail or else feel they are liable to misuse. This one is flexible enough to allow parents to track patterns and comment on whatever the concern is. The highly visual traffic light system is easily understood by the child without having to labour the point. Sometimes a little confusing navigating though historical data but overall my favourite behaviour app.
