RoMote - Roku DVP Remote

The back button issue can be worked around. It would be nice if you could type during searches though. Entering each letter one at a time is tedious.

Works pretty well, wish it had a back button like my remote but otherwise nice. The network connection problem seems to be with the roku & not the app

I know IP but it worn connect, I have a different roku remote then the official app on my apple device that uses the IP address an it works great but this android app does NOT! Work.

Needs a network scanner to find roku. Roku IP can change. I think that's why people say it fails after one use. Simple and works as expected for me.

Romote works great. The people who are having issues dont realize that Romote cannot connect to the Roku if it is asleep. You must wake the Roku 1st

Used this about 6x and never had a problem. It works. Only down side is you can't use control w/out looking at it or you may hit a wrong button.

Worked great at first. Then it stopped connecting. Even though it showed correct IP address. Gave up and went with another one.

Revised review--today I had to reconnect the Roku to wireless, IP stayed the same, but none of the tricks will help to make this app work now. Bummer.

It worked initially, but everytime I turn off my WiFi, the app has trouble finding the assigned IP address. I have to reboot my cell & reset the dvp

It was a constant struggle to use. Too much work.

Nice app - but whenever I try to use this on two Android devices, they both get knocked out, and I have to unplug the Roku to get one working again.

Using this, I was able to go somewhere else in the house and mess with people watching things on the roku. Muahahaha!

The Roku's IP address changes sometimes, so you may have to update the IP address to keep this app working, but it works well

Great when it works. It usually takes several tries to connect. Often need to restart Roku. That's not convenient in middle of a movie.

Why does it only work once??? Not recommend for anyone

I cant enter my wirelee password so ita worthless. It freezes after three characters

Nexus S (2.3): Connection always fails. Roku software is version 2.9 and hardware is model N1100.

Connected fine the first time & worked great but won't connect anymore. Not a dynamic IP address.

I have my roku IP address from my playing settings also double checked with the main website and didn't work at all ... I asked some friends and they had the same issue... So uninstall is the best solution lol

I see how it works (telnet into Roku box). The problem I seem to run into, is that if you do not properly disconnect after use, the Roku box thinks it is still connected, and so no other device can connect to telnet (even the program again), and you have to power down the Roku box to reset. Otherwise, it works very well.

Hey everyone who is having problems, your roku's ip address will change over time unless you make it static. So change in it ur app and it should work

When it works, it's great. However, it frequently won't work at all. Rebooting Roku does not always fix it. I have the same issue across multiple devices.

This is crap. It connected the first time fine then I had to connect again and wouldn't work. Have to reset the roku every time to connect. CRAP!

I used to use this, but now on my new phone it's unable to connect. Maybe it will work again, someday.

Works ok. Doesn't connect after the first time unless you restart the roku. It'll do until I get a new remote.

Very useful. But there is no keyboard and sometimes does not reconnect. I just unplug my roku and it connects again :-)

Would not connect to my ip. Everything was correct. Doesn't work on new update for Droid X

Works great, but won't connect to wifi if connected via my wifes droid. Only one can connect at a time.

Works great. 4 stars because another Roku remote app has a keyboard besides the standard buttons.

Your Droid needs to be connected via wifi to your network for this to work. If not, connected to your network, you will need to open up a port on your router which complicates setup. Easiest way is to set up your router to give your ROKU player a static IP address and enter that IP address in the setup of this app. Very easy. I have not had any problems with connecting to my ROKU player. I see that others say they need to reboot the ROKU player to gain connection after disconnecting. I don't have that issue

Worked great the first time. Never worked after that and I'm not going to reboot to get it to work again. Sucks!

Worked great for me. But so far I've only tried it once... Rooted droid 2 Now will not connect. Tried reinstalling twice... :(
