Voxopop - Language Classrooms for Android
For the uninitiated, Voxopop conversations are a bit like message boards that use voice rather than text, with a specialised user interface for navigating and listening to audible conversations. Teachers and students can interact from anywhere, anytime.
USES
• Language learning and practice
• Conversation practice
• Collaboration projects
• Oral presentations
• Accent reduction
Teachers can create audible group conversations for students to participate in, and have a private feedback channel for each student. Conversations can only be accessed by the teacher and invited students. It's a safe and secure space for students to practice speaking skills using the unique Voxopop method where users self-assess their recorded messages before sending them.
The app is currently only available on Android devices but we're keen to launch an iOS version as soon as possible. Please support us by purchasing a subscription!
OTHER NOTES:
• The Voxopop Mobile Edition is a completely new and separate platform from the Voxopop website
• Students and teachers will need to log in using a Facebook account
• The app is a free download with enough functionality for teachers to get a feel for how things work and to test creating new conversations, recording/playback of messages etc. It is free for students to use.
• To invite students you'll need to purchase a subscription (a full-featured 10 day trial is available).
• Subscription includes unlimited students.
• Please let us know if you have any issues with the app before leaving negative reviews, we're keen to iron out any problems you may encounter!
Enjoy!
