About Chinese Stories-Learn Mandarin
If you are learning Mandarin Chinese, our E-books will provide you with the best learning experiences.
Now we have four different levels of E-book collection; Elementary, Lower-Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate, and Picturebook. You can purchase the E-book in accordance with your language proficiency.
The language used is carefully selected to correspond to official levels. For texts in Simplified Chinese, the characters are chosen in accordance with New HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) levels in China. Our Elementary level corresponds to New HSK level 1 to level 2, Lower-Intermediate to New HSK level 3, and Upper-Intermediate to level 4 and 5.
As for the Traditional Chinese version, the words used are also carefully chosen on the basis of the TOP (the Test of Proficiency-Huayu) standard in Taiwan. Our Elementary level corresponds to TOP level 1, Lower-Intermediate to TOP 2 to 3, and Upper-Intermediate to TOP 4.
As for Picture book, reading by parents or teachers to students is highly recommended. Students learn Chinese from listening to storytelling.
In Lower-intermediate & Upper-intermediate levels, every book has 12 essays which combine into 4-9 stories in each book. Each essay in lower-intermediate level concludes 250 - 300 vocabularies and upper-intermediate 450-500 vocabularies.
At Elementary level, there are 5 essays in each book. Each essay has 2-3 stories and 150-200 vocabularies in each essay.
