Acadia National Park: Chimani

Great app. Don't understand why it needs to update data daily. Other than that, very helpfully and complete.

It's clear a good amount of effort has gone into creating and curating content for this app. It's unfortunate that the map interface which is such a crucial part of accessing that content is so poorly executed. The cartography is amateurish (e.g. fonts getting smaller as you zoom in). The full map download doesn't let you zoom in far enough to differentiate the icons unless you have a data connection (i.e. it's not the full map) and the cluster option doesn't list the icons when you click on a cluster.

I have used this app for years. But this year the tide schedule did not work. It would show the date but no tide information no matter what I did. Very disappointing.

Content not searchable by keyword search, trails not ranked by views/likes/difficulty/etc., offline map has low resolution, part of Echo Lake trail missing, badges could be assigned automatically, no pictures of fish, whales, birds, etc.

Gives a nice description of various features of the park. Earn badges.

This is a great app for one of our most favorite places in the world!

This app thinks of everything! I am so impressed. As a long time Acadia National Park lover I even learned some new things from the app. Highly recommended!!!

This app has been a great asset to me while at Acadia NP. Looking forward to using it at other NPs.

There's no way to measure distance or set waypoints. The viewport tool is cute but all the place names jumble together even at the center of the park. The files are huge and it's constantly sucking data. Backcountry navigator is far better than this. You can get the place descriptions off NPS maps online.

Have been using this app to plan my trip. All the information is great and I feel very prepared. I'm excited to a how the location part will work and if it is just as great in acadia as it had been inplanning

I love all the aspects of this app. I have started tracking all of my hikes have completed in recent years. It is very practical and provides information about Acadia.

Love this application series. So much information and offline access is fantastic. However the orange + button feels like it is meant to add to a trip planner. Really messes with my head. Also the map feature is hard to read everything is. Would be nice if the pins were layer based that we could shut off monuments or park layers and only see specific types. All pins being brown makes it confusing.

App uses something called air mail which Google doesn't have!

active updates not current or working which was the primary reason for download. Disappointed!

Many crash on Google nexus 7 when playing with the map.

A wealth of useful information here: hiking trails, shuttle bus routes and times, museums, tide charts, etc. All of it available offline so I can relax and not complain about my spotty phone coverage. The only thing missing is rock climbing routes; for those I suggest the Mountain Project app.

Been visiting ANP for years and live nearby. Great diversity of useful info like tides, bus sched and maps. Downloaded maps to my SD but wish I could zoom in more to read hiking trail names and a little more trail map detail on my S4. Cell coverage is spotty on Island so easier to rely on stored maps. Great app for all the visitors who want to know what is there to do on Mt Desert Island and ANP.

I downloaded this for a week's visit to Acadia and I was quite pleased. The information was detailed and timely.

Would be great if photos in gallery could be used as wallpaper. Like tide charts and ability to use maps offline. IE bus routes listed, but no times. Overall, useful for basic trip planning to ANP.
