EMS.Waste is an application that connects to the Environmental Management Systems (EMS) cloud application to perform waste tracking-related operations.

With the EMS.Waste app, your tablet becomes a mobile hazardous waste tracking tool. Use EMS.Waste to collect, consolidate and transfer waste items, lab packs and drums into shipping containers, in and out of accumulation areas and on to manifests. Bulk waste material can be tracked in and out of tanks and accumulation areas and into shipping containers for manifesting. Tracking waste is easily performed with a few screen touches. Waste can also be tracked with barcode scanning technology. Scan your waste container barcodes with the tablet camera or with a Bluetooth-connected barcode scanning device. EMS.Waste works with various wireless barcode scanning peripherals. Waste tracking data will be synced wirelessly between the EMS.waste mobile app and the EMS Waste web software.

The EMS.Waste application manages and supports every step steps involved in timely and efficient chemical waste management. EMS.Waste records and updates waste from the moment it is generated or received on site to its ultimate disposal. This improves workplace safety and reduces acquisition and disposal costs. EMS.Waste is used in conjunction with Chemical Safety's EMS cloud-based application which manages chemical inventories, waste and regulatory reporting. It reduces record keeping time, streamlines waste disposal requests and facilitates pickup, storage and the whole disposal process.

With EMS.Waste, information is updated in real-time, which allows for timely and accurate management and regulatory reporting. Employees, lab or site personnel and management can quickly assess and validate information onsite accurately and effectively.

The key features of the EMS.Waste application:
➤ Barcode scanning capabilities using devices that include the smart device camera and external, Bluetooth connected barcode readers for rapid and accurate identification and updating of waste records.
➤ Both online (wi-fi, 4G) and offline operations.
➤ Perform waste related transfer operations (transfer to drums, accumulation areas, tanks, Bill-of-Lading)
➤ Pick up and consolidation of waste items/lab packs.
➤ Update waste drums and Items on the go. Edit relevant information, update quantity and weight information as well as profile and regulatory data.
➤ Initiate and monitor waste pickup requests. The mobile Waste Pickup function of EMS.Waste allows users to submit requests for waste to be picked up, and for Waste Pickup Personnel to track these requests to completion.
➤ Geolocation Mapping Function. This functions queries the EMS database for the location of buildings, designated accumulation areas and waste items and drums, and displays these on an interactive map in real-time.


EMS.Waste connects to EMS web module.
The EMS Waste Management Module is a “cradle-to-grave” hazardous waste management software tool that includes waste tracking, documentation and compliance-reporting. It tracks waste cradle-to-grave -from the point of generation to manifesting and disposal.
EMS Waste Management works in parallel with the EMS Chemical Inventory System to support your entity’s chemical storage, use, distribution, treatment, recycling, and waste disposal.
Manifests can be generated using templates and reference tables, and print s the Uniform Manifest Form and all accompanying required documentation for offsite disposal (Labeling, LDR, ERG, BOL, etc.). Electronic interface with waste transporters and TSDFs can help to simplify management and the exchange of critical information with service providers. Handling, storage, and disposal permits are tracked and users can be notified of actual or impending permit renewals.
