QuadRooter Scanner for Android
This app tells you whether you device is vulnerable, but offers no fixes. What's the point of knowing when there's nothing you can do about it but wait for your manufacturer to patch it? The only solution is to not install malicious apps that exploit these loopholes. Don't bother installing this; just assume your device is vulnerable, check for OS updates frequently, and adopt best practices for protecting yourself.
*9-8-2016* UPDATE My Nexus applied the 5 Aug 2016 patch last night and now only has one vulnerability left. *8-8-2016* My Nexus 5X has 2 vulnerabilities. Probably the same for most other Nexus 5X users I would guess. Thankfully, the reason I chose Nexus devices is the continual security patching from Google. Hopefully this will get addressed automatically in the next security patch. If not the app links to a page providing a method for manual patching if a vulnerability is found.
Did the scan, came back clean - didn't try to sell me anything. Ran it for peace of mind. As someone else has said, this can't fix the problem - Qualcomm have sent the code updates to phone manufacturers and they will need to send out updates to affected models. If you get a vulnerability, best thing to do is contact your phone manufacturers to hurry them up with this patches!
The results of the scan didn't say if phone was vulnerable to quadrooter. It listed some vulnerabilities but didn't explain what they were. The checkpoint web site isn't working properly at the moment. Just seems like an attempt to scare people into buying checkpoint products.
The app detected four CVE's which is very useful, but does not specifically confirm or deny if the QuadRouter vulnerabilities are present. Also, the app sends results back to the software author unless you un-tick the pop-up. This app is good for a developer who understands CVE scores but not so useful for the everyday user.
Came back with newly reported issues from Qualcomm but no useful options to do anything with that information. Should have an semi-automated follow-up facility to the handset maker or something to project the find to the right people.
This is a nice scare tactic followed up by an advertisement at the end of the scan. They then placed news articles about how your in danger. They answer every 1 star rating with the same drivel. Relax, let the manufacturer solve it. You'll be fine and so will your phone. Scare tactic spamming and they know it.
It's not an attempt to hack your phone, it actually tells you if your phone is vulnerable. The people who give it bad ratings are saying it doesn't give you a way to fix it. That's true, but that's not what the app is for. This app is a SCANNER not a FIXER. And the way I see it, knowing what vulnerability I have helps a lot
Always better to know if your phone is vulnerable. mine came back saying I was not affected. If yours shows any of them at all. . . You have an issue you can't personally fix.
App finds vulnerability but does not tell you how to fix when surely it should!!!. Scanned my Note 4 (not listed as one of the affected phones), found 3 issues. There was a link to patches but it does nothing only show you a page of code.
Seems to only read the android patch level, not actually check for vulnerability. BlackBerry android devices have been patched, but are still showing as vulnerable. This is not correct and this app is a scare app only. Users can check their vulnerability by checking their patch level. Everyone not using BlackBerry android devices is vulnerable to 4 items before August and 1 before September.
Honest app and a must know. My Samsung Galaxy S5 900A at&t has 4 vulnerabilities...CVE-2016-2059,CVE-2016-2504, CVE-2016-2503, AND CVE-2016-5340. I imagine all S5s will have same if a quad core processor S5 and not the Octoset core S5. Now I just need a fix from AT&T in a security patch update.
Installed on my note and came clean. Was directed here by a forum I subscribe to. As a security specialist in the IT field, there are 4 exploits in 900 million android devices. They have been patched but device updates are unknown at this time.
Scanned my phone and it came back clean, no attempt to sell me anything. All the conspiracy theorists need to get a life.
I scanned my phone, with the app, and have 4 vulnerabilities. When you click on each one, it brings up a webpage that tells you which patch needs to be installed for each item. My confusion starts here. I click on the link it gives and it pulls up a page of code. I have no clue where to go from here, seeing as how I don't understand the codes. Could someone please explain what my next step would be?
When it scans your phone it tells everyone you're vulnerable. Then it steers you to its website and tries to sell you Zone Alarm! Waste of time. UninstalledUninstalled.
Clean result on S6. For those complaining of lack of fix.... it's a scanner not a repair tool. If u have vulnerabilities contact the phone manufacturer.
Motorola Droid Turbo, latest OS Did the scan. Result: "Your device is affected by the following vulnerabilities:" ... and it listed the four known items. End of story. So ... seems the app did exactly what it's supposed to. Will run it again down the road to see if patches have been applied.
The output is misleading to make you think you are infected. There is no details on how to addressed identified issues
Using a Samsung Galaxy S4, found 4 vulnerabilities, shows link to info on each, in which they show linked to download patches but no info on how to actually install said patches. Would help to have info on how to fix if within the users ability to do so.
Sute your self. If you want a hacker to use this on you then ok. Not my prob you dont believe in it. If you dont understand the code then dont come here and criticise on it. Since i know that one day you guys will regret ignoring it when a hacker hijacks the device with malware, i wont stop you from criticising it. Have a "nice" day ;D
If you have any vulnerabilities, the only fix will come from a patch by your phone manufacturer, and not some third party app. To keep safe in the meantime, disable unverified apps and only download trusted apps from the Google Play store.
No vulnerabilities on the Nexus 9! Oh wait, doesn't feature a Snapdragon. From what I've read, this is a Snapdragon issue, and patches were completed in July, now it's up to device manufacturers and carriers to implement them. My 2015 Moto X dropped two of the vulnerabilities in the past week...
Updated for 2nd time today, now finds no vulns on August patched Nexus 5X where previously it found 1. Link to check 2 CVEs shown opens to relevant article, still not clear what action can be taken until patches available in September.
I ran it on first install and it found two vulnerabilities. Shortly after this I got another update and was down to one. Now it is all clear... This app detected the issue but Google updated my phone to fix it. Shows the need for suppliers to roll out security updates.
telling me I'm vulnerable is less than useful... we need hard stats that are then used to PUBLICLY SHAME carriers and OEMs who drag their feet and/or withhold, outright, on the Android security front... SHAME ON GOOGLE FOR NOT RELEASING SECURITY PATCHES DIRECTLY TO ANDROID USERS, TOO...
Update: now nexus 4 only has one vulnerability! Original review: Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 running 6.0.1 says zero vulnerabilities. Google Nexus 4 running 5.1.1 has 3 vulnerabilities. Nook HD+ running 4.0.4 has zero vulnerabilities.
Galaxy S3 Canadian (I747M) is vulnerable to two flaws. Tab A 8.0 is not vulnerable
Reported two issues on my Nexus 5X running latest Android N beta. No updates to phone software, just a bug fixed release of this app and apparently phone no longer vulnerable!
Without any update of the Nexus 6 I noticed, the app gave two contrary results within a small week.
This app says my phone is clear , Qualcomm app says I have a vulnerability .....clear as mud
I need to know how can i fix those vulnerable??
Una app que simplemente hay que tener como parte de la seguridad informática en nuestros dispositivos.
Instead of removing features, you should combine all the scanner apps.
U putting in the info that you want gackers to hack us is unbserred
I have clean exynos s7 edge so suck it everyone .
Scanning with no cure worth very little.
Doesn't scan for all vulnerabilities. Also allow. Use the qualcomm app instead.
Huawei P9 Lite is not affected by Quadrooter vulnerabilities

I ran the scan and I have 4 vulnerabilities in my LG optimus. And my phone is up to date. I wonder if I am still protect as I have a paid subscription to Kaspersky's Android anti-malware suite with full protection activated and all privileges allowed to Kaspersky for constant monitoring of my phone and all processe's. Does any expert know if this will protect me from my phone being rooted and hijacked?
