GPS Test Plus Navigation for Android
Best GPS app I ever seen. One for all needs. Very recommend! Thanks to authors!
Works great, lots of options.
Drains battery about 20% even when not in use ap
Can't set local time. since clocks changed in mar 2017
About creating my coordinate, I mean I want transformation
The more you use this app the better it gets
Bought but new version does not work with Samsung Galaxy s4 android 4.4.2, previous version worked well...
LG G3 ANDROID 6.0 Sweet app!! Works perfectly all the time!! Very well done!! Thank you Dev!!! This is the BEST!!!!
Great app for testing GPS and navigating to some small places not marked in maps apps.
Very useful program. Plotting out fence lines on a farm is made much easier by using the co-ordinates in conjunction with Google Maps to produce a CAD drawing. Very accurate.
Love the "sundial" and moon phase display. It,would be nice if it showed moonrise and moonset on the "sundial" but Im not complaining. This app has served me well.
Keep screen On option does not work with Android 7
If there was a way to output raw gps data to a log file, this app would get 5 stars
Navigation part is kind of redundant honestly but the testing part is pure gold
Have had this on every phone I've owned. Great app, always getting better. Night mode is great, love the various screens and info. I keep the dial screen up when driving, gives me my speed, heading, and altitude.
Have been using this fabulous App for years. Just keeps getting better. Thanks Devs! ????
Great tool. Material Design / AppCompat would be nice though. The design does in no way follow Google's design guidelines which are very good. Cheers from fellow developer.
The best GPS app you can get! I've been using it for years and it keeps getting better, without getting bloated
Gps is functional. I am unable to export waypoints. Unable to share waypoints. I preferred an earlier release. I wish I could get a refund. I will use AndroiTS.
I've been using this app (started with the free version then purchased this one) since 2010 or so on all my Android phones and I absolutely love it. The reason for 4 stars (and honestly for this review as a whole) is that I don't really understand why the fullscreen view for specific fields is now toggled by a long press instead of short one as it has always been in the past and a short press toggles some settings menu that I'll probably need only once and never again? I actually thought something was broken until I read about it in "What's new" section. Another thing that really made me very unhappy is that the Share function now seems to be hidden somewhere in a second level menu instead of a big button on a main screen. When driving I often message my location instead of texting ETA or something, so having to go into some menu really upsets me :-( With how flexible this app is I really hope authors could make a setting somewhere specifying short/long press behaviour... Added: Authors are great, changed it to 5 stars - my favorite gps app!
The ultimate GPS application, no doubt. I've used many GPS tools and this is accurate and very customizable. Definitely worth buying. Big time thanks for the developer's continuous support,
[Edit] Is this app dead as far as development/support is concerned? Website is barren, no place to request support, and no response/activity from developer in quite some time. [Original Review] Great app, but unable to import or export locations. No option to choose where to import/export locations from/to (no file picker). Export function just throws an error ("Error exporting My Locations"). Some kind of permissions problem with the app on Android 5.1?
An excellent user interface, but the underlying GPS operation is substandard. It struggles (and usually fails) to get a fix when "cold started" in a radically different location than before. After a flight from the US to Europe, it often wouldn't find a single satellite after half an hour, even after AGPS was updated via Wi-Fi (no cellular roaming). Over the next two weeks, it managed to find a satellite and get the almanac a few times, but generally wasn't able to move forward from there. Once, it did work up to 10 satellites in use but still couldn't produce a fix, at which point it automatically reset to 0 and couldn't find any satellites after that. Back home, no fix there, either. As others have noted, the altitude reported is noticeably wrong. No, it's not just the geoid. Switching to using the geoid rather than MSL makes it *less* wrong, but it's still way off. A trivial glitch: the light/dark areas of the "world" graphic aren't in sync with the sunrise/sunset times. I've gone back to GPS Status & Toolbox, which gives me solid fixes and more accurate altitude, albeit with a more abstract and information-dense (dare I say techie) interface. OK for everyday casual use.
I wanted to update my review to confirm that this app is still excellent and worthy of 5 stars and getting the paid version to help the Dev keep working on it. I use this a lot when out in the countryside. I would still like to see the ability to share your location as a grid reference rather than just a Google maps location. A great app though.
The huge drawback with this app is that you can only enter a lat/long location in decimals of a degree! I don't want to take a position from a sailing chart and then have to convert it from deg/min to a decimal degree, how inconvenient is that?!
Great program but one problem, every time I try to import from other GPS test plus it kept saying no data. Other than that it's a great program
It seemed ok, paid for pro version, ok for a few months, now always says it needs GNSS update, won't get fix. In town phone left on with data and WiFi to update, tried for manual update, next time out it wants a f'ing update. Worthless POS, no indication on what to do. I need it for work, an hour glass and sun-dial is better.
Excellent application. I preferred the all solid color themes more than the new ones. One major problem on my phone has been that the speedometer isn't accurate at all anymore. For example, if I'm driving at 35mph, it will report 50mph. It always seems to report about 10 to 15 mph higher. Hope there's a fix soon. Thank you!
Generally satisfied and it is one of the few GPS apps that I have found that gives you Irish grid. But just been trying to export way points and I keep getting an error message. Annoying
I have no idea why more people aren't using this app, it works great! Many features, and this 'plus' version is well worth payment for its nice display options. I use it on road trips night and day, on both smartphone and my tablet. When users complain about inaccurate altitude, etc. you have to remember that this information comes from your phone's GPS. If it is not accurate, that's not the fault of this app. My thanks to the developer!
*** ALTITUDE IS SEVERELY OFF *** REGARDLESS OF SATELLITE NUMBER OR STRENGTH *** When I first started using this app, it was great. Then with the promise of an upcoming revamp, I purchased it. What I got instead was an update that completely broke the altitude function. Altitude is still SEVERELY OFF ????
Up to now I loved this app. I really like most of the improvements, especially unlimited saved locations. BUT - a big step backward - navigation range jumps from feet to miles. In previous versions there was a yards step in between, I really really want that back. (I use this on a golf course - that was the slickest feature ever - now its useless there).
Simple app that's light on system resources. The 'Plus' version is brilliant, tells you far more than most GPS apps, but without the maps, of course. Great for advanced GPS users. Only minor criticism I have is that it appears to not have the option to turn on/off local Daylight Saving Time. Why? Don't know, but this app is customisable for about everything other GPS function. :-). Maybe a future update?
I love this app. One of the very very few laps I actually paid money for :). I love the uni colour schemes and also the simplicity the information is relayed to the user. Wish more also did this. The only thing I always wanted is a screen with the path like In the old Garmin trex devices theat show you the path you took without any maps. This is useful in the return to home base part of the app to return and know exactly where you went before.
Functional with correct options. Highly recommended. Latest update lifts program to *awesome* status.
Best GPS on Android. I wish for a "solar noon" field!
Using from year 2014 - best GPS software.
My only GPS app - great quality
I'd like all the features.

Good app. Can you delete your old waypoints? Not sure....
