Field Compass Plus is a powerful and simple compass app, with all the data you need on one clear screen. This easy to use Android compass has a unique sighting screen to take and store bearings to help keep you on track.
The app shows your heading on an analogue compass, together with a digital centre panel displaying your heading in degrees.
Your compass heading and bearings are referenced to True or Magnetic North. You can also adjust the Declination for your current location.
Record up to three compass bearings using the three middle buttons on the top tool bar. The bearings can be displayed around the compass and can be used to get a three point compass fix.

Constantly displays message concerning magnetic interference on my Z1. Non magnetic case removed just to see if it was somehow responsible. Factory reset was also a waste of time. You may want to look elsewhere if you have an Sony Xperia.

Stylish, practical, and all I could wish for in a compass app. I especially like the sighting arrangement for taking a bearing, and with the premium version the ability to show GPS position and bearing on the same screen. The developer is responsive and helpful. On my Nexus 4 I've found the magnetic field sensor a bit flaky, to the point where I wouldn't trust any form of compass without a "sanity check" from GPS, a map or local knowledge, plus frequent "figure 8" calibration. But within that limitation, this is a really nice compass.

Happy with Premium version that automatically & correctly sets Declination, giving accurate readings. However "Waiting for location from GPS" hangs forever even after selecting Datum closest to my place. A suggestion: allow manual & selective clearing of Bearings. Normally the first one is for the reference direction which I want to keep. A brief manual would be useful too

Nice features, if only it would point north. The free version works on my Galaxy Note, but this one doesn't work on my S4. The compass turns a bit as I rotate the phone, but it never aligns to north. Tried recalibrating it several times with a figure 8 pattern without success. I want my money back.

Do not purchase this compass app!! It is highly innacurate. I stood in the middle of a field and turned 90 deg. It told me East both directions and the deg only changed about 10 deg. Not accurate. Looks nice, but totally inaccurate.
