Control (OSC + MIDI) for Android
- Outputs Open Sound Control (OSC). MIDI coming soon!
- Handles multitouch on devices running Honeycomb
- Bi-directional communication: use Control to set values on your computer, use your computer to set values in Control
- Dynamically add and manipulate widgets via OSC messages
- Reads and outputs data from Accelerometer and Compass sensors (on applicable devices) with adjustable update rates
- The ability to script behaviors for widgets using JavaScript
- Auto-discovery of wireless networks via Bonjour
- Interfaces can be pushed to the phone via OSC or downloaded from the web
- Supports both portrait and landscape interface orientations
- Interfaces work on both phones and tablets (tested on Droid and Asus Transformer)
- Free
If you've never used wireless MIDI or OSC before, Control (and all other wireless MIDI / OSC apps) will have a little bit of a learning curve to get started. Please visit the Control support website!
NOTE: There is currently a bug that causes landscape interfaces to scroll if used after a portrait interface on Android 2.2 and 2.3 devices.
Excelent works out of the Box , so old app and still works . Must have for every Artist & Developer .Thank you for the Open Sourcing
Wonderfull app, thanks for this !
Midi 'coming soon'
Never fits screen
:cool app
Nice but WiFi sucks on my phone. Gunna try one of the unfree apps before settling with this
Incredibly useful and fun to use! wow.
Open app, white screen for about half a second, then "application has stopped" dialog pops up. EVO 3D
sweet
Wont open
This looked really promising, but it won't open on my HTC One X...
Ok.
Didn't start, and crashed on HTC Sensation XE with ICS. Terrible!
Love this! Plan to try it with VVVV for procedural graphics control. It does run on my Samsung GalaxyS, but its small - doesnt fill up screen. Bug?
I'm a big fan of OSC and this is the best interface in the market. I've tried them all, more features than anything else. Plus, it keeps getting better.
i tried it with stripinvader.js works perfect. thanks a lot guys u made my day
...but it's kind of buggy. Cuts off part of the screen and eventually crashes. Lots of potential if these problems are addressed.
Works great and looks nice. My favorite. It would be great to have a gui editor for layouts.
Debug it, it wont even work, it force closes
+ Extremely easy to use and setup. + Useful interface. + You can change the refresh rate The only thing I would add is the orientation of the phone, like andOSC does.
4stars for other stuff 1extra star for game of life :-)
When I try to open it, it force closes..
Nah, not quite that great, but pretty awesome.
looks like a cool app, but no multitouch on HTC desire S running android 2.3.3.
hurry up and implement MIDI!!! the name of your product is a lie!! there is no MIDI! (coming soon is not good enough!1)
Needs MIDI if you'really using windows, OSC is a bit of a nightmare.
Been waiting... And it will only get better...
Works well on my galaxy s but on nook it force closes.
great interfaces, but (on dj patch) the faders do not send correct data, thus difficult to sync with ableton faders
Hurry up with midi support, sincerely, every windows user ever.
Force to close when start.
1st run after install it force closes. And every one after that. HTC Rezound
Extremely dfficult to use with windws and no help from developers website on how to use with windows.

for production it is not stable and polished enough. some buttons in out of the box layouts are outside the screen (as example)
