Hue Flip Free

Hue Flip greatly simplifies lighting operations such as switching lights on and off, fading and changing the color of the lights. For example, when using Hue Flip, making an upwards gesture with your device will switch your selected lights on. See the video for the current possible gestures.

Hue Flip uses your device’s accelerometer to capture gestures. On the flick of a wrist, Hue Flip can send commands to simultaneously control multiple lights on your lighting system. When using most Hue apps, multiple steps are required when you simply need to turn on one or multiple lights. The first step is to turn on your device. Then, unlock it if there is a lock screen. After that, navigate to the desired app, followed by pressing its icon to launch it. Finally navigate to the app’s desired screen and use the feature that turns on the lights. With Hue Flip, all you do is literally pick up your device, make a gesture, and the light is on.

Hue Flip works as a background service. When activated, the Hue Flip app screen does not need to remain open for the service to stay active. In addition, gestures will activate your Hue lights even when your device is locked and the screen turned off, providing the device’s Wi-Fi is set to remain on during sleep. Hue Flip will only stop listening for gestures when the service is turned off via the app or its notification icon.
