MyQ Smart Garage Control

Great for verifying if the door is closed when you're gone. With a preteen being responsible for remembering to close the door when leaving for school, it is helpful to know if he left the door up. I can close it from work and not stress out wondering. Push notifications are great too.

Works most of the time, but when it doesn't it's very inconvenient. Also lacks integration with Google Assistant for some inexplicable reason. Once these issues are resolved I'll increase my rating.

Works ok. Could use better integration with Google assistant and IFTTT, but it's limited to only allow a few actions with those applications. Also, they actually charge a subscription fee to integrate at all with them... No one else does this... Very irritating

It opens the door and closes the door. All in all it does what it's supposed to do. And it never really gives me trouble. I give it 4 stars because it's always felt like something is lacking. I think what I might these just the fact that it takes too many steps to open the door or close the door. Once I get logged in it opens the door pretty quick. It's also nice for closing the door when I leave so I don't have to leave my garage door opener in the car. I do like the notification to let me know when somebody opens the door while I'm not at home. That lets me know my son got home safe.

Took me two days to set up even after being on the phone with tech support for 2 hours, in which case they couldn't figure out what was wrong. Also says my garage is always closed never says it's open even when it's wide open.

Works Great!! Every now an then it gets confused as to if door is open or closed but rarely happens. A widgit for home screen would make this better.

Works pretty well. Sometimes glitches on departure as the phone transitions from local WiFi to cellular network.

A simple app that allows you to open/close door remotely as well as notify you be email or notification the door position has changed. Notification at times are delayed by 20 minutes or more.

You are charging for IFTTT?? ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! don't except to connect to Google home without this app requiring a monthy fee!! Bad bad move Chamberlain!

This app gives me peace of mind. No more driving around the block wondering if I closed the door.

You just updated the interface to open/close on what used to be viewing current status. I'm in another city and attempted to check that my garage was closed, and instead just opened it, then received an error trying to close it. Seriously?!? Now what?

The latest update has caused my app to not work on my Galaxy S8! Please fix! Three weeks now and my app and MyQ garage door opener still doesn't work right!

Works well, but it sorely needs to support Android Wear. Also, requiring a subscription fee for Google Home use is very not cool.

Will not recognize my address or my password the same one I've used for 10 year's

The app works well most of the time, except sometimes I have had to go into my account and reset my password ...I also wish that Chamberlain offered a built in camera in the actual opener itself....but it is nice to be able to check the door position whether home or not....

Great app, never have to get up or go back home to make sure the garage door is closed. The alerts are great however they are universal, if one user turns them on everyone signed in receives alerts, this needs to be addressed.

Warning! You have to pay a monthly subscription for this garage door app to work with Google Assistant and even then it can only close the door, not open it. There's no widget to open the door on your phone so don't try to open it while you are operating your vehicle in the driveway. Extremely difficult to setup with my home wifi network.

For the most part, the app works great. Once in a while, the notifications are delayed, but that could be an internet issue.

I am disappointed that they are charging a fee to be able to use this with Google home.

False Alert at 500am, that your Door has been open All Night. Hmm. Not Nice.

It works as advertized. After 6 months going strong. Easy to set up. Anyone who argues that doesnt know how to add a WiFi password to a device.

I would give it a 5 if these greedy bastards didn't need 10 bucks a year to link up to my Google home.

Put 4 stars cause it does not connect to alexia or google home would love to be warn if my garage door open

the app is great, very reliable. I'm waiting for it to have a little more ineffectiveness with home automation and with wearable technologies.

I like it let's me know if the garage door is open you never know if leaf gets in front of the sensor or the door just doesn't close. I can close it with my phone anywhere I'm at.

I found this application really useful. It makes life simple specially in winter when I need it badly.

No longer have to go back to see if we closed It! And to always get a notice the door has been opened is a huge plus with all the daytime burglaries now happening in our used to be so safe neighborhood!

App works,... Integration with home control hubs is lacking, but at least the app gives remote control over the garage door,...

Working as advertised. Very nice have 18 year old Genie garage opener. Found it without a pickup. The setup was just had to understand the Wifi portion.

This is what I've needed forever. No more wondering if I closed the garage. I get let neighbors in when I'm on the other side of the country! One of the best ideas ever!

Love the functionality & notification is wonderful And to know you have the remote option that you could access your garage door when you are not at home just brilliant.

Basic features that are free for every other smart door open are disabled unless you pay a monthly subscription. Buy a competitor's product instead.

Subscription required for IFTTT and Google Home integration. Ridiculous.

While the app does what its suppose you, it's slow to open and then slow to get the garage open. All the app needs to fix this is a garage door open close widget or at the very least API for Tasker/IFTTT/Zoom Widget, but untill they add something like that, it's easier to use a regular garage door opener. The notifications from the sensor are nice. That's the only good comment I have right now.

12.23.2017 UPDATE: To be fair, the root cause of most of my issues was due to a dead MyQ door sensor battery; the installed battery died after 10 months. However, the mobile app did not alert me to that issue as advertised. My rating would be higher if Chamberlain would restore the SmartThings compatibility. Until then, this is not a smart home compatible device. Fails to accurately display open and close status. No longer supports SmartThings and basic smart home funtions. Notifications are not reliable. Anyone have a good recommendation for a better solution?

Works as stated. I really wish they would improve this app tho. Would like to see landscape support and/or a widget. Just takes too many steps to open my garage door from the phone. I've dropped my review down one star because there seems to be no growth on this software, no IFTTT support, no widget, no Android auto and no real updates. C'mon Chamberlain!!! I have dropped to one star because in order to use this app with IFTTT you have to pay a subscription which is absolutely ridiculous!!!. Chamberlain you should be ashamed of yourself!

Great product, works well. Like the fact that I know if door is opened & can notify me. The app on my phone fails to open occasionally, so far that's the only con. I've owned it for about 8 months.
