نبذة أولى عن الرواية :
رواية المراهق فيودور دوستويفسكي . تقدّم نموذجاً لشخصيّة طالب مراهق، بآماله وأوهامه المتعلقة بالحياة والثراء والحب، وتصف مشاعر الحبّ والكره، والإعتراف والإنكار التي يمرّ بها مراهق تجاه والديه وعائلته ومحيطه. يتتبع دوستويفسكي الصراعات التي يعيشها المراهق أركادي في أجواء عائلته وأوضاعه الحياتية التي يسعى للتمرّد عليها، فيضع نصب عينيه العمل على أن يصبح غنياً كروتشيلد، وينكر عائلته التي يعتبر أنها قصّرت في حقّه، ويسعى لعلاقات مع طبقة الأغنياء والأمراء. يقدم دوستويفسكي عبر هذه الشخصيّات نماذج إنسانيّة غنيّة كاشفاً عن أهوائها ونزواتها كما عن طيبتها وجمال روحها. إنك تحلم بحياة لها دويّ، تحلم أن تحرق لا أدري ماذا، وأن تمزّق لا أدري ماذاً، أن تسمو فوق روسيا كلها، أن تمرّ مرور سحابة ساطعة، أن تغرق العالم كله في الخوف والإعجاب، لذلك أرى من المفيد أن أحذّرك لأني أحمل لك عاطفة صادقة. هذا هو المراهق كما يصفه دوستويفسكي على لسان والده.

نبذة ثانية عن الرواية :
«لقد فرغ صبري، فها أنذا آخذ بكتابة قصة خطواتي الأولى في طريق الحياة. وكان يمكنني مع هذا أن أستغني عن ذلك. إن هناك شيئاً محققاً لا ريب فيه، هو أنني لن أكتب سيرة حياتي عن غير هذه الفترة، ولو قدّر لي أن أعيش مائة سنة. فلا بد أن يكون المرء حقيراً في شدة افتتانه بنفسه حتى يتحدث عنها بغير خجل ولا حياء». على هذا النحو يبدأ دوستويفسكي صفحات روايته قبل الأخيرة «المراهق»، التي حتى وإن كان يمكن القول إنها أقل رواياته الكبيرة شهرة، إذ إنها لا تصمد مقارنة بـ «الأبله» و «الجريمة والعقاب» وبخاصة «الإخوة كارمازوف»، فإنها تعتبر مفصلية في مساره الكتابي من ناحيتين، فهي من ناحية تكاد تلخص نظرته الى الأدب في حد ذاته وإلى شخصياته التي امتلأت بها رواياته السابقة، ومن ناحية ثانية تمهد، فلسفياً على الأقل، لروايته الكبرى التي كتبها من بعدها ولم يكن يدري بالطبع أنها سوف تكون عمله الأخير: «الإخوة كارامازوف». والحال أن آية ذلك هي أن في هذه الرواية بالذات يحدث لدى دوستويفسكي ذلك الانتقال من التوجه النيتشوي الى نزعة مسيحية خالصة سوف تكون الرواية الأخيرة أبرز تجلٍّ لها في أدبه كما في حياته.
