About Privát
YES, you read that correctly.
YES, this browser does it all with just ONE permission. More on that later, for now let's get you up to speed on Privát, shall we? :)
Privát (pronounced "prih-vaht" or "prih-vaht...tahhh" when said with the right amount of enthusiasm.)
Privát, literally translated, means "Exquisitely elegant, exceptionally ergonomic, effortlessly efficient private browsing experience" in Gibberish.
Privát is the world's first and fánciest (pronounced "fahncyest") full-featured one-permission (it only requires the internet permission and nothing else) privacy browser.
There is something profoundly special about a privacy browser that cares enough about your privacy that it's core principle and key goal was to be the world's first and fánciest full-featured one-permission browser.
Privát comes preconfigured for privacy right out of the box, it is designed to simply launch, browse hassle-free and exit with a clean slate.
Privát uses startpage, the world's most private search engine, for address bar searches.
There are quickly accessible features like Request Desktop and Ad Block, and the ability to disable Javascript and turn off cookies entirely.
There is no history kept and cookies are automatically cleared on exit.
Downloads (yes you can still download pictures, media files, archives and documents of all kinds) are kept in special private folders that are not seen by other apps.
Privát is cgslurp's highly specialized and enhanced extension of the open source Browser project, made in collaboration with Gaukler Faun at github.com/scoute-dich/browser.
Privát is not for the shady figure crouching in the dimly lit room with a stealthy hat on and sunglasses like the guy you see on most privacy browser apps.
No, Privát is for those who just so happen to like privacy, powerful features, and next-level design. Privát's toolbar and navigation controls are all conveniently placed at the bottom of the screen for easy one-hand mobile operation, and they disappear for an immersive experience when not in use.
See what it's like using a browser that is truly made for one handed mobile browsing.
But hey, keep your main browser too. I like having my Chrome for my day to day heavy lifting just like everyone else.
But why not try Privát, and see if you don't decide to keep it just for times when:
A) You've got a sandwich in your other hand. or maybe you want to shop for something at your favorite online store without being plagued by ads reminding you about it every day for the rest of the month.
B) Maybe you just want to browse a site that has great content or downloads but is riddled with javascript popups with every click, and you know Privát controls that easily.
Privát is the perfect browser if you don't want to dig through six levels of settings just to disable Javascript or cookies like you do in your regular browser.
Privát is not a "main course" browser: Privát is more like a delicious, mouth watering appetizer, or tasty side dish, or an elaborate gourmet dessert.
Just try it, you might be surprised how nice it is having an extra browser "on the side" that does all the stuff that same old browser you've been using all this time doesn't want to :)
Q:My phone is a KitKat phone, why won't Privát work on my phone?
A: Because Privát is too fáncy for KitKat phones. You need to have at least a Lollipop device. Come back with a fáncier phone and you can use Privát.
Q:I really want this feature that requires the camera permission and the gps permission, will you add that feature for me please? I'll buy a pro version if you make one.
A: NO!. Having more than one permission would make Privát less fáncy. The only way I would consider permitting you to purchase such a downgrade is if you were to admit that Privát is the fánciest full-featured one-permission browser in the world :)
Privát - It's new, it's fáncy.
Just try it :)
