HOTPin Android Client for Android
This app needs updating to get the menus working properly on the latest versions of android. I eventually found out how to get to the menu on my One Plus X. Go to Settings > Buttons and switch on on screen navigation bar. Start the HOTPin app. Then of the right hand side of the button bar that is now displayed are some vertical dots. Press on these and you get the HOTPin menu that allows you to import key files.
I don't find any menu to Import key on my Lenovo Vibe K5 Note
Forced to give a single star for an app that is not tested property on android. I have a cyanogen and it doesn't work.
Not supporting to Asus Zenfone Max phone...dont see key notes
Android client is unusable.
Menu button does not appear so app is useless.
If this app were a fence paint it would be Ronseal. We also had issues on some newer devices which don't display a legacy menu button. However in all cases there was an alternative way to access the menu (e.g. hold down Back button). You'll need to check the right method for your device. Perhaps the app could be updated to reflect changes in the Android OS and phones?
So annoying trying to get the Menu button to appear on the Samsung Galaxy, for other folks having issues I found a work around, if you go to Android Settings->Accessibility->Dexterity ->Assistant Menu and set it to "On" it will pop a little floating widget menu, you can then open HotPin and from the floating menu select "More Options" and it will give you the options for the app to add keys etc. Once you've done that you can use the App as normal, and hopefully in the mean time Celestix will actually pay attention and update the app so that it renders the menu button properly.
My Redmi was not showing the setting option anywhere and I was confused whether this is supported by Redmi or not. Later understood from one of the reviews that different phones show the settings in different places. Redmi shows that when you long press the left side navigation button (which looks like 3 lines). Then you are ready to go...:-)
I have an LG G3 phone and a Lenovo tablet, installed the app on both and wasn't able to use with either due to missing button(s) off the screen. Yet to find a way to resolve.
Doesn't work with Samsung phones and hudl. The buttons render off the screen.
No option to add a key - need this for work emails - please fix!
You need to use the legacy menu to set the passphrase or scan QR first.
This app does nothing. Is it not compatible with Samsung?
Does not work my s7 edge. Unfortunately.
I needed this to access work emails remotely but it doesn't work with my Samsung phone so had to download it on to my husband's HTC. An awful lot of hassle everytime I need to look at an email
Great for work. Needed this to work remotely from home.
Now I don't have to carry any security token with me again. Good app!
Great pdt

App is NOT compatible with Android 6.0.1 - you need to turn on the Assistant Menu (Settings-Accessibility-Dexterity and Inteaction) . Then open the Hotpin app and from the assistant menu select More Options - from there you can add a new key. Any app that requires users to enter via a back door is not fit for purpose.
