The check deposit feature stopped working on my S5 Android. I tried 3 different Android phones and had the same issue. I tried a iPhone and it worked without any issues. It stopped working after the new security update was installed. This Cefcu app has not been updated since September 2015. Please fix this issue.
I don't want to underrate it, because it is super useful, but I cannot deposit checks. Every time I try to take a picture of the check, the app shuts down on me. I have reported the issue, but it's not getting fixed
Waited for CEFCU to release an app for depositing checks. After hours and multiple deposits, it simply does not work. Sometimes I am wondering whether developers and providers actually use their apps prior to releasing.
Remote deposit feature keeps crashing while trying to take pictures of checks. Now I have "For remote deposit only" on all of my checks and I cannot deposit them remotely. So, I now won't be able to use an ATM either. So, basically something that was supposed to be convenient turned into a hassle.
Since Thursday my accounts will not show any transactions. Only balance info, which is correct. Also when trying to use online banking it tells me everytime that my password is invalid. Even when I change it, when I try to log back in it tells me the password is invalid. I use to love this app as I use it numerous times everyday. But now it is a chore trying to keep track of my balance. Please fix app
I know my username and password are correct but it says my username or password is invalid when I try to use the app. So now I have to keep going to their website and logging in which is a process. Very irritating. Know a couple friends who have the same exact problem.
Pretty much the title. Major bugs that make the app crash. So much so that I had to call to have them delete my account to re enroll because I couldn't get through the password reset function and now I can't even re-enroll because any time I enter my information the app closes. Please fix
This app is useless. It crashes every time we try to use mobile deposit, which is the entire point of using mobile banking. It doesn't depend which device we try to use, all of them crash. Please fix this ASAP. If I could give this 0 stars, I would.
It's been months since the release of Android Marshmallow, yet this app isn't functioning properly on my Nexus 5X. When I go to take a picture of a check to deposit the app crashes. Not to mention the camera orientations are backwards and upside down. I'll update my rating when these issues are addressed as I feel this is the most useful feature of the app.
The app likes to crash after about 10 seconds. If you're lucky you can reach maybe 30 seconds. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the issue hasn't been resolved. Hoping cefcu can fix this in the near future.
Everytime I go to deposit a check electronically the app crashes when I take pictures of the check. The whole reason I downloaded the app was to be able to electronically deposit checks. It is very disappointing.
My impressions with the app were initially very positive when it came out. However check deposit is terrible to the point where I'll never use it. The camera never aligns correctly with the check, you have to hold the camera 15 feet above to get it all in view and then it's unreadable. Plus there's no confirmation that it was even accepted correctly when you are done. No updates since it came out last September is pretty sad.
Would give 4 or 5 stars but it's frustrating that I can't deposit with the take a pic of check anymore!what is going on here?Android user here,please fix this ASAP it's not very convenient.
I haven't been able to deposit a check since this apps inception. Almost makes me want to switch banks.
The app is nice but wtf are there ads in this banking app. If we sign into our account all ads should be removed. Fix this and I'll improve my rating.
Nice when it works. Login is a pain. Mobile deposits crash the app. Come on guys marshmallow has been out long enough get with it
Seems to be a discrepancy between my actual site login account information and my app account information. This has lead to its own frustrations and headaches. While the app is a lot more convenient to check in on my account, it looks like I have to stick with going through the INCONVENIENT website login to get real time and accurate account information.
First off...The app takes entirely way to long to even show that you've purchased anything which leads to over drafting because of how long it takes to show that you've made a purchase. Second...I can't even use the deposit option because all it says is...you have to have a savings or checking account in good standing and you have to accept the terms and disclosures and yet there is no option to do that. This App needs serious updating.
Could never give a Webview app more than 2 stars. How about a native Android app with Material design? App is out of date.
This app was working great and I loved it. But now it just keeps coming up with error codes when I log in. Can't do anything once in.
The mobile deposit option does not work. I installed this application specifically so I could use this option. I am very disappointed so far.
Needs to update app to work with android marshmellow.. currently keeps force closing when trying to image deposit
When using the deposit feature, the app dies when you take a photo of the check. This feature seems to be unusable, at least on a Samsung S7.
Mobile deposit was working great. Now when I try to use it the app crashes. Quite annoying.
Every single time I try to deposit a check, it always says "I'm sorry but cefcu app has stopped working" I take the picture and get it set up to where it's the best picture taken and when I go to use the image... it shuts down. This was really the only reason I got the app to do this since my friends with other banks have been able to do this for quite some time. It's just as easy to check my account on the actual website which I've been doing for years now. Disappointed.
System is always unavailable, i've been locked out of my account multiple times and even when I am able to log in, it doesnt show my balances. Which is very inconvenient considering I am lazy and would rather not go out in the cold just to transfer money or check my balances
Most of the functions on the app work nicely; however, from my Android I am unable to use the check deposit part. I have to use my husband's iPhone every time I need to deposit a check. It wasn't a big deal when we lived in Peoria, but now that we live out of state it makes things a bit more of a pain since I can't just run to the credit union or at to make a deposit.
All in all, the app is great. It works fast, and is easy to use. Only a couple of critiques though: 1) It was a little rough getting started, as I was unaware that the mobile login and password are NOT the same as what I use to login on the full website and that I needed to enroll. 2) I don't necessarily like the transactions page where I have to tap each individual "PURCH" to see where the transaction took place.
I can now access it. No more "system is unavailable try again later" message. I was entering the wrong account number but now figured it out. It is only the base 7 digit account number...for instance if you have both savings and checking account it is the seven numbers the two accounts have in common. I hope this helps someone else making the same mistake.
The past 3 days I have been unable to access my accounts using the same user name and password as always. It does not give a reason just has a red bar across the top of the app. Before this i loved it and would have given 5 stars
It's a good attempt at an app but needs a lot of work. The deposits rarely work right. The bill pay never works. Sometimes it wants my pin that you can set up for and sometimes it wants the password and sometimes it wants both which isn't a big deal except sometimes it just keeps going back to the log in and you never get anywhere. It also looks cheap and poorly designed.
This app looks great, but the mobile deposit feature is a mystery! I hit the deposit button, and it says I must first agree to the terms and conditions, but with no agree button on the screen. I can't find the agreement anywhere in the app. Can someone please help? Thanks! [UPDATE: Problem has been solved. Thank you CEFCU!]

Good start, but there are some issues and I have a few requests. 1) The enrollment wizard screens don't show a cursor when entering text. This is a bit disorienting. 2) toggle switches throughout the app do not make the selected state clear 3) Setting up a pin: I have no idea what a display name is or why I would want one, but apparently it's required 4) why does the app require access to my contacts? Seems unnecessary. 5) pop under ads: this feels wrong/spammy and it obscures navigation controls that should remain exposed. 6) Let us with Marshmallow and fingerprint readers authenticate to the app this way,bypassing the PIN. 7) As I swiped to switch between accounts, it seems that accounts which do not have recent activity show nothing below them. It would be much better to clarify with an explicit message like "no activity was found for this account in the last 60 days" to help the customer feel assured that nothing is amiss. 8) The clock with a circle icon at the top could be omitted. As far as I can tell it doesn't do anything except make a user wonder if it can be clicked. 9) It would be nice if the item detail view were just an accordion control within the line items display.
Gorgeous and simple. I love the Icons, they are cute and sensible. Very powerful, intuitive App. You guys obviously spent a lot of time/$ on this, so it was worth the wait. I hope it pays out well for Cefcu :)
The App is OK and meets functional needs but user experience is discomforting.I need to Enroll again, providing username, password and security questions. I asked CEFCU helpdesk why I need to re-enroll and the answer is" we use different vendors". Convenient for CEFCU not for their customers. If you change one you need to change the other too. App does not play well with LastPass password manager. When I enter username (BTW, it is case sensitive) goto to LastPass and get back it refreshes the screen forcing me to enter username again. Incidentally, in the App it is referred as username and on the Web it is referred as LoginId. Oops, they use different vendors, I understand. I deposited a check. The image does not autofocus only when I click. Dont blame my phone, it does autofocus on mobile apps from other vendors. After I deposited a check it shows me an acknowledgement on the screen. However I do not get an email, I dont see it my in account as pending. This is not comforting and I have no proof of my activity. This is terrible user experience. I'm hesitant to use it further...
Of the 200+ apps on my phone, this one goes on my homescreen btw Google & Facebook... Excellent customer service, simplified balances, streamline of finding exactly what I need precisely when I need it. The best things were worth waiting for. CEFCU has upped the ante and set the bar even higher for the for-profit banks, the other not-for-profit credit unions & even themselves!!!
I love the new app! I would give it 5 stars if it would display the custom names I gave my savings accounts instead of just saying "savings account" for each one.
When I start the app the opening light blue with the CEFCU logo appears for a second or two the completely black screen appears and nothing happens.

I love this app more than using the website. Althought it should be made clear that you have to enroll. Your web sign in info doesn't work on this app. Also I noticed when I was refunded my money for an order I made, the refund was only visible in my transactions for a day. The money is there but It would be nice to see what's being added to my account as well as whats going out. And I miss the details from purchases the actual cefcu website included in my account info. But overall still 5 stars :)
