Colorado Roads for Android
Repeatedly end up parked on i70 for over an hour because of accidents but cdot doesn't show anything besides traction law in effect. This app would be useful if the info was actually updated and accurate.
Almost exclusively Denver (not where I live), and only shows a list of road construction sites. The menu doesnt open 80% of the time to see anything else of importance. Not useable
Like most people say it is almost completely useless if you don't drive I-70 or I-25. These are 2 highways that I avoid like the plaque. What is worse is that in the past if you went to the website from a mobile device, you could get useful info. Now they have "improved" their website to where it is hard to get any info on a phone or tablet.
Great maps, but NO legend, so nice colors, no clue what they mean..... Just give it up and join the 511 network. It would make it closer to a standard format for long distance trips.
See how long it takes to get the road conditions on a highway other than 70 or 25 without waiting for the "map" to load (forever). This app seems to think those are the only roads in Colorado. Being back the old app please.
Runs like crap. Slow and studerry. Map has no tappable features. Zooms horrible. I have a updated marshmallow galaxy s6 so its not me.
Good start, but road cam videos don't work on my Moto, and can't find key for what road, black, red, yellow means. If black is full closure, then what is red vs yellow?
Drains battery. Keeps GPS active all the time.
Useless
Best app if your driving in Colorado
Wal-Mart Trucking
Wish it could store on SD card and not one internal memory tieing up limited mrmory.
True, it only covers I-70 and I-25, but that's I'll I need. You can see the electric sign boards, which give you accurate times, construction alerts, and other advisories. It updates every 3 minutes, which keeps you ahead of any traffic delays so you can plan your route in advance. Great app!
Full of ads. Website is much better. 2/2016. I like the travel time summary page. That seems better. Wish it was separated into east and west on different screens with the areas broken up some more. Also colors green, red , black, yellow.
There is no information for the veins of Colorado road structure other than I-25 and I-70. Its time to really evaluate and think about that. How ridiculous.for the CDOT system.right now it Feb 21st 2015. We are getting hammered with snow and i'm traveling from Denver to Baily on 285 which..lmao ..is in Colorado and not a big part of this app.
this app no longers gives info as to conditions along high way. cams difficult to access and videos are so tiny they are useless.
Happy to report it now works with my Samsung Note 2 but that's about the extent of my good remarks. Interface is cumbersome and difficult to use. With the app being titled trip planner I would have thought that would be a way 2 navigate from point A to B and have it help you get there the fastest easiest most direct way. Nope. Guess it isn't bad if you just want to check travel delays and look at it highway cameras but you can do that on Google too so I'll stick with that.
This app is cumbersome to navigate and inconsistent from one hwy system to another. The focus seems to be for skiers traveling I-70. I would get alley notifications but could never get to any detail. I could never recommend this app to anyone.
The makers of this app forget that there is more of a state than Denver and surrounding area. Horrible! If I could give it zero stars I would. I'll be using Waze from now on for Statewide information.
I live in the mountains NW of FC. The 7 times in the last couple of my months that US 287 has been closed due to weather or accidents and I have been on the road there have been no notifications. Suppose it might work on the interstates but for the rest of the state not so much. CDOT doesn't seem to have a real time status outside of the interstate corridor.
Living outside the front range, this app has limited use. Why not use location services to find nearby roads and report on those first rather than showing I70 or I25? At a minimum, at least give us an EASY way to get info on roads of interest for those of us that don't live near Denver? Mobile website is better for this purpose. Uninstalled!
Outside of the I70 and I25 corridor this app is less than stellar. Living in south central Colorado I am unable to specifically filter for road conditions that I travel the most. I am un-able to use this app for the info that I need most. Uninstalled
This only monitors I25 & I70 through Northern Colorado/Denver area. I thought CDOT was for ALL of Colorado?
It looks like CDOT has added some advertizing. Phone just flashes loading screen app never gets past the startup screen just says loading. Uninstalled.
Cdot app is great for us who live and work in the mountains! I rely on this app for the commute. It lets me know conditions so I am not stuck on the roadside waiting in a welcome center or in my late model truck on the stopped interstate with my sick family member. It is a valuable app!
Compared to previous app, this is borderline useless; unless you plan on staying between Denver and Vail or Denver and the Springs. The old app gave road conditions for all major state and US highways. Way to go geeks, you have again totally screwed up something that worked.
This app is frustrating. The web site was better before all these changes, choosing a camera was so much easier. It would be nice if I could set any cameras in my travel route as favorites. The cluster of cameras on the I-70 map is a joke with the pins all crammed together. The list of locations is prejudice, they aren't the only places people care about! Have consideration for those of us that actually LIVE in mountains!?! Who ever said it was great for their commute must be in the foothills.
This app has bin an awesome asset to my travels in Colorado tells about road closures and delays so you can adjust your commute timing also the camera option to see what the current road conditions are is the best so you know what kind of weather or conditions you'll have ahead of time all in all awesome LOVE IT!!! DOWNLOAD NOW!!!! SEE FOR YOUR SELF
Hey cdot, don't you maintain roads besides I-70? For those of us who travel roads other than I-70 (285, 40, 160, 50, 9, 24....) it would be great to having these road conditions available as well. This app need to be renamed I-70 roads conditions. To say that this is the "Official CDOT App" is a complete joke! What a waste of our hard earned tax dollars!
Really good info, nice app overall, but GPS will not turn off making it huge battery killer
The old platform before this updated version was so much easier to use. Please change it back!
It seems to assume info based on the weather forecasts rather than real conditions. We were on dry roads for 60 miles on I-76 and it said they were icy and snowpacked. Weatherbug was more accurate. Nebraska's road app is an easier model to use.
I wish it was location enabled so I wouldn't have to type in which town I'm in as I look things up. Or when I'm nowhere near and don't care for a notification on traffic. Also when mountain passes close it just says closed and leaves it as that. There are no updates on when they might open or how heavy traffic or travel might be around passes. .sometimes I uninstall to stop the frequency in which I receive notifications because uses up battery
Before installing, please scrutinize the permissions! The information this app provides has been valuable in the past. However with the new updates my Norton Mobile Security flagged this as High Risk because it reads too much of my private information, as well as info in my SIM card. Uninstalled. Fix this and I put it back on my phone!
Overall not a bad app, the map needs to have a legend tbough, not sure why they need to give road speeds when you first open up the app, that should be the map first.
Useless if you travel anywhere outside of the I70 corridor , and surrounding attractions, there is a lot more to this state. Good thing it's free. Seems they concentrate on telling you the conditions of the roads they maintain the most.
They have definitely improved it. There now seems to be some other roads besides I25/I70. My complaint though, if this is sanctioned by the state, why are there "offers"?
I would expect CDOT to understand the importance of colors. This app is almost unusable to people with red-green colorblindness. Please switch to a darker green. I can't tell the difference between the greens and yellows. Hello ADA?
Useless if your looking for information north of the Boulder turnpike. I'm sure it's equally useless south of Castle Pines or east of DIA

The concept is good, but the execution. ..not so much. It is difficult to navigate due to the poor interface and seems to be designed for travelers on I-70 only. That said, I still have it on my phone with the hope that the next update will make it the very useful app it could be.
