Free to download, My Car Check allows you to check the vehicle details (make, model, colour etc.) of any UK registered vehicle for free by searching using the registration number.
However, the free car check is not enough information to make an important decision such as buying a used car.
For extra peace of mind one of our more comprehensive checks can be bought within the app. For only a few pounds you can avoid buying a potentially un-safe, stolen or debt-ridden vehicle, saving yourself time, money and effort, not to mention the unthinkable consequences of buying an unsafe car. Don’t risk it. Check it first.

Good app, I use it regularly to check cars I like for FREE. Also paid the extra £9.99 in-app purchase for the Gold History Check before I bought my BMW 135i just to be sure it wasn't stolen or had outstanding finance on it. Cheaper than rival app HPI check.

Running on stock android 8.1.0 on a Nokia 8 and it only accepts numbers so can't enter a valid plate!

This used to be a pretty nifty app, but recently i can only type numbers into the search log, the keyboard appears but nothing except number is registered

It's a total rip off with hidden charges. ..I paid £9.99 expecting to have all information only to told that I had to pay additional £4.99 if I wanted to find out whether there was an outstanding finance on the car...Other apps offer everything including the mileage and mot history which this doesn't and it's way cheaper...Please don't be caught up. ..don't be fooled and conned.

This app kicks my phone out of extreme power saving mode. I know this for a fact because when I disable the app my phone stays in power saving mode. There is no need for an app like this to have access like that. I will only turn it on when checking a car then I will uninstall it. Probably better services out there on standard web sites.

Search feature doesn't accept text, only numbers. So how on earth can I enter a Reg number? Installed > uninstalled two minutes later. In response to the review reply: I'm not using a custom keyboard. Just the stock Google keyboard. Though I have seen other reviews with the same issue as me. So it's something you ought to look in to.

It's pretty much a useless app for me because I can't access the history checks I already made and I can't do the VIN check that is offered on the website through it...

Used to work now it crashes and reloads on S6.. its next to useless now! And also when it desides it does want to work and i come out the app half way though typing a reg and go back into it the reg i allready typed is wiped.. the app is bloody anoying if anything.. please stop ignoring us and taking ad money and fix it.. or watch the app fail

Crashing since August and still not fixed. App keeps crashing. Open the app and before you finish typing in the reg the app has crashed. Totally unusable. I emailed my phone details to them as requested but no response. Uninstalling now.

Used to be a lovely app then it suddenly started crashing constantly after 20seconds. Just reinstalled it and it's fixed the issue. All that are having issues with it crashing, just uninstall then install and issue is fixed.
