Sadly, after years of excellent performance, this app has started to fail. No app updates for years. Have not found anything as useful, howecer. Original review: Must-have app; presets now very easy to manage + smart scheduling feature. Well worth purchase. Just keeps getting better.

There are few must-have apps for Android and Volume Control is definitely one of them. Bought the pay version to get rid of the ads and to support this great dev. Zero issues with the paid version. Just loving this app anew!

The biggest con with this is that if you adjust the ringer volume up the system that raises. If you lower the system volume then the ringer lowers before, it was too independent sliders. There is no being able to text or flip through apps without everybody in the office hearing it.

This app is excellent in Gingerbread OS. It monitors and locks volume levels according to what you set it at. Multiple profiles can be set. Its just great overall. However, nothing, NOTHING!!!! works on ICS and JB. Absolute waste of money! Developer AWOL. App was last updated October 2011! Almost 1 year and no updates.

When in volume locker mode (which is why I use it), consumes >24% of my battery. WAY too much for a phone that barely makes it 10-12 hours. I still have it, but I disabled it.

App continually crashes on GS-4. Developer has not updated since 2011. ...go figure. Smart Volume runs circles around this app. I would recommend you not buy anything form Coffeebreak Apps.

While I have no real need to fault this, I mean it has worked exceptionally since I started using this on my s3, s4 now note 4,but I think the only thing that's bugging me, it needs a refreshed UI. Now with everything material and lollipop, this looks very outdated. Hopefully it'll be something in the future updates devs. Thanks for a great app!

Worked well until I upgraded to Marshmallow last week. Now access to the settings menu has disappeared. Can't change the scheduler, or any other settings.

Was great when I first started using it years ago. Now that I have the s7 edge, I can no longer access settings, because the edge replaced the menu key, and the app doesn't offer one. And apparently the dev abandoned the app. Too bad. Uninstalling.

App is seriously flawed and unattended. Google needs to ban this developer and honor refunds. I think Tai, the "developer", should respond by fixing the app or honoring refunds, rather than giving 5 stars to a malfunctioning application. I reported this to Google by the way.

I was accidentally hitting the volume buttons due to the way I held the phone. Once I got the app, I set it up the way I wanted and haven't touched it since. This app has been very useful and does exactly what I want it to do.

I have been using the free version got awhile...but wanted the presets and scheduler. It worked once. Imagine how thrilled I was when my phone went off in first period right as I was starting my lecture. Scheduler didn't start the mute setting.

Since upgrading to ICS the scheduler has become very unreliable. More often than not now it fails to change profile at the scheduled time

On my HTC Evo 4g LTE, the volume controller works well until I attempt to add a second item to my schedule. The advanced scheduler was why I bought this app, and it's left me disappointed with my purchase. Would be perfect for not that, but it's a glaring problem to the purpose of the software, so 2/5 stars.

No updates. Menu vanished. So nice sine I paid. Crap take it off Google play (which also is hitting sick zone)

I upgraded to the paid version hoping the schedule feature would work. Still won't and no support from the developer. Very disappointed.

Scheduler does not work at all, never has. Most other features work as expected. Some volume presets are not at all intuitive, but do function.

Was excellent in its day, however it's no longer supported and has started to show issues with newer versions of Android. I'd recommend you look elsewhere

Bought this app because the free one was to the point. Wanted to have a simple way to just turn it to sleep mode. All I need this to do is make a preset that turns the notification sound and vibrate off and it doesn't. Emailed the maker and haven't even received an email back. Unfortunately I found out after their wicked awesome 15 MINUTE refund time. Droid razor

Program installed and looked VERY nice. However the presets based on time rarely work. I need something that changes everything based on timed presets. For me this fails miserably.

This programs was great on my HTC Thunderbolt when I first installed it. All features worked fine, until one day the ringer and notification slider got stuck together. Now I unchecked the locking of those two and they remain stuck together which dorks up my night time preset and scheduler. Please fix this!!! Started working fine until Andriod up to Marshmellow... Please fix

This app hadn't been updated since years ago. Seems the developer has abandon it! Doesn't work correctly since the update to 4.4.2 kitkat on my Nexus 4...

I'm a user of the SPH-D710 and when I purchased the app it advertised separate controls for my Bluetooth headset because the Android OS doesn't do this natively . I found out after the 15 minute refund period that it doesn't control the notification volume separately from the at all even if I mute everything but the "Media" and "Voice Call". My main problem is that they won't acknowledge me at all. Not even that they received my email and would get back to me soon. I have reached out to the calmly 4 times and gave them every chance to make things right or tell me that they are aware of it or that it's on their list of bug fixes but I haven't heard a peep. If you want to pay for GUI to control your volume just like your OS does for free then this app is for you but if I were you I would stay away from any app developer that won't stand behind something that they sale.

App crashes when trying to schedule more than one instance. Bought the paid version to avoid ads and it behaves the same.

No updates. Too bad I liked that app but in Lollipop the presets don't work correctly.

Now I have the Samsung Galaxy S 6 Edge Plus. I can no longer edit the factory installed presets. I use to heavily depend on this app. Now it is not so much user friendly.

this app has a lot of features, and the layout is great- but it takes time to figure out, and it can be buggy; presets activate with your headphones, but sometimes don't reset when headset is removed. (if you have this problem, go to volume control settings>mute all sounds, un-select mute all sounds) this may help- also protect it from app- killers

PLEASE WRITE TO AUTHOR BEFORE YOU BUY THIS! The author does not respond to any email. There is no support at all. The author should either remove this app or state that it's no longer supported. It was a good app with lots of choices. The app hasn't been updated since 2011! The two major cons are the lock has a mind of its own and scheduler does not work.

Edit: Works fine with custom Rom except hanging widget. **** Went for paid version after really liking free version...But...Disappointed... Crashes scheduler on Days change/selection. WIDGETS hang thereafter... App crashes on restart there on... ICS 4.0.3 HTC Sensation XE. Please fix the bugs urgently... It's high time.

Can't get control to appear in notification bar on Z3 running Lolipop. As this is the reason I purchased this app I am disappointed. There is no help /feedback from developer. Will have to look for another app that suits my needs. Shame.

I just wish it enabled me to COMPLETELY LOCK the Volume buttons. When using the camera (especially) & other apps it's often impossible to avoid pressing the volume keys. If I'm pinching for zoom & using auto-exposure, I don't need the awkward placement of the buttons in the way. PLEASE FIGURE OUT AN OPTION TO DISABLE THE BUTTONS, Please.

This would be a great app if they could only fix the bug in the Scheduler. It gets confused when I pick different days of the week for each entry, resulting in force close. Dealbreaker. I'm almost ready to uninstall...

Bought this so that I could mute all sounds eith one touch but although I have a silent preset set up and saved when I switch to it the media volume is not muted. Uninstalled.

I tried the free version as I was fed up with the volume control on my Desire S getting knocked when its in my pocket. This app solved the problem and makes changing to silent easier so I upgraded to this version. Will try out some of the other features now.

It's the main reason of why I payed to have the full version. I'm very disappointed...

The app is great, in my opinion. But i'm the kind of person that is continually changing and tweaking things. I've found that the ringer on/vibrate/silent toggles dont stand up to repeated changing, ending up with all the lights on and the app needing a reboot in order to get back to normal. Also, for me the headset preset does not work. Plugging in/removing them brings up the correct prompts from the app, but for example the media volume is not reduced as my setting requires. I know how many different versions of Android there are, so its understandable there are a few quirks. I recommend getting the free version, seeing if it works for you and then upgrading. It's a great price if it does.

After all of the panting reviews thought I'd try it. Nope. Expensive way to see a slider showing volume at max.

It doesn't do anything at all. The volume lock doesn't lock. The scheduler doesn't schedule. At least not on my Samsung Nexus running Jelly bean.

Kept muting my ringer and volume whenever it wanted 2. Uninstalled. MyTouch 4g Slide.
