Volume Control + for Android
My side volume button broke and I was unable to adjust my sounds unless I went through the settings. This app has made life much easier for me and I can access it quickly from my main screen. No problems at all with it. Great app for someone in my situation!
My internal speaker wasn't working. Saw on tmobile that someone said to try this app first before hard resetting it to factory mode, or trading it in to tmobile for a new phone (which I can't because I am no longer under contract with them). Miraculously, it fixed the problem. ^_^ No more speaker phone calls for me. :D
This seemed to be the most popular volume control app, so I figured it would work. Unfortunately, the setting to link ring volume with notification volume doesn't work. Instead it links ring volume with the system volume, so having an audible runtime with this setting means having overloud system clicks when opening apps. If just like an easy way to keep ring and notification volumes consistent...
The notification and ringer volume don't link anymore. When I turn the ringer all the way down it puts the phone in vibrate. I want the other volumes to be at a certain level and not vibrate. Sometimes it won't go from vibrate to normal. Will give it 5 stars once it's fixed thanks.
All I get is an app 14 the size of my screen, with 6 sliders, mutedo not disturb buttons, and a headphone preset button. None of the other screens are accessible, nor are the precision volume controls or schedulers other people are talking about.
Served me well for years. Just got a Galaxy S7. This app does almost nothing but crash. Worked well on my Nexus 5 and Galaxy S3! Also, it does not and has never looked like the screen caps on here.
Was working great, but recently it sets the alarm level to zero- when I have never set it to zero in any mode. I would set it to 3 for example, exit the app, then go back to it, and it had some how reverted back to 0! Locked or unlocked!
Will re-reate afer I try it. Hoping it will help to ake my Motorola Triumph's volume hiegher so person i call/calls me can hear me better. Known issue w/this phone!
I like being able to set different profiles for when I'm Bluetooth connected vs. using the speaker - it's nice to have a silent phone unless I've got my headset on. Excuse me while I uninstall and upgrade to Pro :)
It was a really good app until recently. The ring volume & the notification volume stays on vibrate even though I have on normal volume. When you open the app the system volume keeps going from off to on and I have to keep turning it back to off. It would be nice if the ring volume and the notification volume was separate!
Looks good, but doesn't overide Samsung's base settings, such as vibrate. Can't have texts and other sounds set to vibrate while having ringer sound on. Everything vibrates regardless of what app shows. Got the app for this specific use...
This application is not working fine for my phones. I am Not able to use different volumes for Ringer and Alerts using this. I have tried below application and it is working like a charm for my Xperia Z2 and Nexus 5. It does NOT even require root... Search "Profiles Plus by AppyFactor" in play store to use this app...
If you are used to Blackberry's volume profiles, you're not going to find it here. This app is crap. Come on Nexus, get your stuff together and give us a little diversity with the volume profiles.
had a problem none of the system sounds would work on android 4.0.3 with the samsung note. installing this app I find the volume was down to silent and adjusting this made everything come alive again, Brill, I couldn't find any slide control within android ICS to adjust system sounds. but this app found it.... 10/10.
The volume controls work for me. The scheduling of volume also works - so when I am out of office the volume turns back on. I have seen few instances where right at the time of scheduled volume change - I see a message volume control has stopped working so 4 stars. But it does change the volume to vibrate or vice versa as per the schedule and seems to work fine. No more remembering to fuss with hard buttons.
It would work really well but every time I go in I will get 3-4 FC notifications. It works but its annoying getting messages every time I change a setting. Please fix!!
I got this for the volume lock feature and for a while it didn't keep the volume locked. Now I have to uninstall because the ringer volume is stuck on mute, lock or no lock. It worked awesome for several months though and I would still reccomend based on that.
This app is more than I expected. I was looking for a simple volume control widget. This does that and much more. I love the ability to schedule volume changes. Unfortunately, it's crashed on me 3 times already.once that gets fixed, I'm definitely going to buy this app.
Constant crash on 3 different phones. Same issue on all 3. App would need force close and not work again tell reboot of phone. Sony Xperia Play HTC Raider Sony Xperia ION Won't be wasting my time on future attempts.
The app crashes every time I use it. The volume controls work while the app is open, but the volume lock and scheduler don't do anything once it dies. To me, this app is unusable. Good luck with it.
I chose this as the best app after testing several others. Now I know of no apps that work to lock the volume button on the S3 running Jellybean 4.1.1. All I want is an app that disables the the volume control to prevent accidental lowering the volume and missing calls and alerts. This app also has lowered the volume setting from "locked" at full volume to silent when sitting on my desk, and I have no schedules of any kind set.
It doesnt control volume with any more granularity than the system menu. The scheduler doesnt work reliably enough to depend on a simple task as vibrate only between 9and5 for work. Let alone important social situations. The interface is pleasing. The color change option is cute. But all in all, its alot of form over function, something i expect from an ios app not android.
The biggest problem with it is that it fails to return the volume settings as they were before an external speaker is used. Specifically, I like to keep all volume levels turned up when using the phone's speaker. But when I play media via the phone, I often send the sound to a bluetooth speaker, which it counts as a headset being plugged in, using the saved settings for that, which is perfect. But after I'm then done and disconnect the bluetooth, it sets ALL of my phone's normal volumes to OFF each time!
I love this app because of the volume lock. Before i had this app, my phone would constantly go out of vibrate mode without my intending it to, due to me accidentally pressing the volume rocker on the side of my s3. Now no matter what, if i put the phone on vibrate or silent, it will stay tha way unless i change the mode. I work in retail therefore my phone must be on silent or vibrate, as I'm always dealing with customers face to face.
The widget looks great, but the app doesn't work correctly. When toggling through normal/vibrate/silent mode, it resets all volume to 1 instead of what I set it for in the normal mode. Also, I cannot open setting at all as it keeps crashing when I click setting.
It works good but: it divides the volume settings into groups and some groups are joined so you can't adjust all the volumes individually. It needs the "are you sure you want to change setting yes cancel" button, to keep from accidentally changing volumes. SEVERAL times the settings have changed without me knowing causing me to miss alarms, calls, messages.
This is a life saver for work! My phone volume would somehow make its way to silent throughout the day and I'd miss calls. No more! This app works great, even if I manually turn down the volume on the side, it turns it right back up immediately. Thanks!
Can not turn up volume of phone call. Volume will not go high enough for these old ears (I'm 72) to hear.
It has preset for Headset & Bluetooth, this function work well except after every time I turn off bluetooth headset, the volume would automatically go into vibrate mode & I have to manually adjust each function of the volume back to Normal Ring mode.
I have a Galaxy s4. When used to lock the volume it does stage things to my phone. The ringer volume will get locked but when the phone rings the first 2 or 3 times it's at a lowered volume, every time. It will lock media vilume, sort of. The problem is it doesn't all ways lock and when it does it might not unlock. When the the lock is engaged there is absolutely no way to put the phone in silent or vibration mode. Most time won't disengage which requires a reboot of the phone. Too much trouble.
Does not Lock anything, In fact it linked volumes and made my issue worse. Also Ads to run battery down. Don't install this garbage
I love the app! Way better than having ro open my settings every time I want to adjust more than my phone volume and media. Only problem is one of the ads. PLEASE remove the ad that has the unappealing butt of a woman that flashes in my face EVERY time I go to adjust my volume.
Something happened, that my volume was muted. I was at it 4 3dawn days til finally I went 2 b&n & tech got this app. Fixed it right away. Not sure bout any bugs yet & hope I don't get none. Whoopee! I have volume again.
Has exactly the features I was after and very configurable. All the differences I'd seen in similar apps are simply preferences in this one. Only manages to change media volume on a Sony Xperia Z2 via Mute All Sounds, as unfortunately the Media Automute doesn't work for my phone.

Had an issue with my Nook were it didn't play sound; dowloaded this after reading reviews and it cleared it right up. I can't tell you how thankful I am. Two thumbs up.
This was great on my Bionic. On a Galaxy S4 it works sort of. It seems alright when earphones aren't plugged in, but plug in earphones and it fails. Plugging in earphones turns on the earphone saved settings and the notification sounds come out of BOTH the earphones and the phone speaker. I don't need my co-workers hearing every time I get a text message/email when I have my earphones plugged. Turning the sound off, though, also turns it off in BOTH. It should ALL be through the earphones.
Well, the volume works perfect, but when I click the vibration button it says,”unfortionately Volume Control + has stopped" and I love to feel my phone vibrate!

Does the job. But I cannot find a way to access the menu and change setting on my Samsung Galaxy S6 phone or Samsung S2 tablet. I also have a Nexus 7. On that device, I can access the menu and change settings. But on the Samsung devices, there seems to be no way to access the menu. By default, the slider bars come up, and they work. But you can make no changes to the style, color, or any other settings.
