About CATV Cable Math
Weather you are an installer or line tech you have to have this app. You enter your information for your situation, drop or main line trunk and feeder. Press the Results button and there you are. The levels you should have at the outlet or tap you’re at.
Please be kind with the remarks. This is my first app. I know it’s not perfect. I am looking for constructive feedback to make this app be the best it can be.
The Drop Screen:
From here you can enter the signal levels at the tap, cable type and footage to the ground block.You can press the results button to find out what you should have at the ground block.
The Splitter Screen:
You can enter any splitter configurations you have at the home to the outlet your working at. Press the results button to get your new levels.
The Network Screen 1 of 2:
Here is the first of 2 network screens. You will enter the footage of each cable type you have in your run from the last amp. Any splitters or directional couplers you might have.
The Network Screen 2 of 2:
Here you will enter the output levels of the amp upstream from you. You will also enter your tap value and any other taps in the run up to but not including yours.
The Results Screen:
Here you will see the results of the calculations. If you entered the data correctly you should have these levels. If not there is something wrong.

I have at least tried to fix the screen issues. Please let me know if your device is still having problems.
I am working on making it work for different areas as well. But if you know anything about Android programming I could use a little help.

Much appreciated, would like if there were more channel options though. Our system only goes to 800mhz (Ch.125). Would be nice to have that option too.

Cannot change high and low frequencies or channels.

But I need to be able to change the frequency on the high end as our network doesnt go to channel 135 out high end is 753 frequency. I tried changing it in the options but settings wont stick. If you fix this I will recommend it to everyone in my office about 200 employees. And im sure other offices will find it useful as well

Edit - The update you rolled out today 10/16/12 fixed all of the screen issues on my end. Galaxy Nexus Jelly Bean CM10 nightly Great app helps a lot on those forever long night shifts. The boxes where you input and get data from are chopping off. What I mean is it won't let me see the top half of the box. Galaxy Nexus

Program will not save settings emailed about it and got the response back the he is aware of problem and there will be a update soon but still no update months later.WILL NOT REFUND MONEY EITHER. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS AND GET SCAMMED

I like it.works good if your in a 860 system... wish you could set the highest channel though so it was useful with 550 and 1gig systems
