PocketMoney for Android
Clr IN trans effects accts assoc..ed, Clr IN ledger effects only acct worked with; flexibility. Split transfer into # of accts saving time & assoc is saved (edit FROM Acct created to avoid crash). Split a transaction w/ transfer in splits for cash back (store). Filters are easy allowing editing, graphs, & ADDING. Really does massive transactions w/out slowing. Sync for those who want. Minimal permissions demonstrates high performance w/out invasion. Request budget to see expense transfer.????
Lacking in features compared to the iOS version. I recently switched from iOS to Android, and have found the Android version of PocketMoney to be somewhat inferior to the iOS equivalent. In particular the Android version is lacking: 1) Ability to modify layout to make better use of screen space e.g. short rows 2) Ability to schedule recurring transactions to be posted in advance, thereby giving clear visibility of future cashflow I am aware the app is now being developed by a new owner who did not develop it originally. I hope they return to the Android version and continue to enhance its functionality.
Useless. My PM experience on my iPad and windows 8 desktop installation have been excellent. However, I can not say the same after I installed it on my Samsung SM N900A Note 3 phone with software version 5.0. After several frustrating days, I am unable to find the sync button to connect it to my desktop PM. It can't be found in the menu button list or by tapping the PocketmMoney header bar as suggested by the forum. Without this feature, it is useless to me. Also, if I hadn't experience with it alread
Things are improving now that themes are back. I do miss the repeating transactions autoposting though. It made it a lot easier to account for upcoming transactions I had forgotten about. Otherwise the new developers seem to be working hard on making this a great program to use. Thanks
I've been using this app for 7 years and I love it, but it isn't perfect. It doesn't sync bank accounts and credit cards, so I have to use Mint for that. And somewhat annoying... not being able to edit the budget without it affecting past budgets. I've been told that may be addressed in future. Otherwise great app.
Best app out there! but development seems to have stalled without any updates for quite sometime. Can the developer provide an indication whether this app will continue to be improved?
Was fine with $1.99 for app.. but when it came to getting desktop version.. that's another $15.00. Not helpful for people with little pocket change. I will have to wait to get desktop....
This is truly the best one out there. I would love to use the "keep the change" feature, but I cannot get it to work. Is there a tutorial somewhere to help with that?
I have been a PocketMoney user since 2012 (Android devices and Windows desktop). I use it on all of my accounts. This application has been rock solid for me, and I trust it to work properly 100% of the time. I am glad to see that the company is under new ownership, and I am confident that we will see lots of new features as a result.
I've been told few times now that there's suppose to be an update to fix this app. It used to be great but without anyone looking after this, it has fallen way behind.
Love how I can jump easily between saved filters (2 totals: filtered & report) & easily graph, edit anything, & export reports from any screen. Multiple search opts. Filter search needs auto-fill associated with list & device calendar should function like tablet. I'm able to track multiple autos & mileage. GOOD memo info, making statement reconciliation easy. Great roll up/save balance feature. Ability to enter $0.00 works great for warranty receipts. Bolder, more contrasting themes would be nice. Highly functional/stable money management app!
Catergory list needs major improvement it is to long with all the sub catergories showing it needs to able to collapse and expand for easier search and desktop does not save new catergories in windows 7 I purchased all 3 platforms what a waste
I've used it on iOS. It wasn't the best, but it was a lot better than Android. As of lately, I cannot create a new entry with older date other than today. I have no option to auto post repeat transaction. No date to select for repeat transaction end date. Cannot start a new entry with last date used. Cannot edit amount by deleting a number. Have to delete the whole amount. Cleared transaction box too small.
Have used it on ios for years. Suddenly this version constantly crashes,as soon as I click on an account it quits. Cannot use on android now,
An issue in the Filter capability doesn't allow me to apply a filter within the Current Account transactions only, affecting my ability to reconcile my credit card payments
The dates that my bills are due in the repeating transactions section are no longer shown ☹
I love this app. It's been my go to money management app for years. I see that a PocketMoney 2 app was released in the iTunes app store. @Catamount Software are you working on an android version?
Cloud Sync would be nice but I hope the new developer doesn't get over ambitious and spoil an already great app.
Great app. Helps me keep tabs on my spending. Syncs to my desktop.
I couldn't figure out where to put the balances...too many steps to enter a transaction.
Love it but you need to update!

This is a good app. But it's not great. It could easily be great, if you addressed some issues here: One: Available funds should be a formula returning the lowest balance between the current date and the last entry in the register. Two: Multi-Tiered Sorting. This one is so basic it's obvious: sort by date then transaction type. Three: Separate rollup options. I would like to be able to roll up only cleared transactions. Add these and your app would be perfect.

Absolutely LOVE this app! I use it with the Desktop version and it syncs perfectly! I have yet to see another app/program out there that does what PocketMoney does. I also LOVE that it doesn't sort my transaction information on a cloud, like some other apps do. I've only encountered one issue, where the app crashes when I try to select Repeating Transactions, but I've submitted a ticket and sure this will get resolved soon. In the meantime, I can still enter and view the repeating transactions in the desktop.
Hands down, the best money manager in the market. I have been PM user for over 10 years on 3 different platforms & have always loved this program. With so many other money maner apps in the store, PM is still the best. I highly recommend desktop companion version to sync data across multiple devices & different operating systems . P.S. There is a learning curve, take time to view video guides and review user's guide. Some users complain of unable to hide closed accoubts with zero balance., yes, you can!
Still the best app for managing finances! Repeating transactions make it practically impossible to miss a due date. Transferring between accounts is seamless. The desktop app is amazing. Overall LOVE! Been using it since 2010 and nothing else compares.
Updated Review: Thanks Catamount for listening to your users and keeping your app in good working order. It's back to being one of the most useful apps I have on my phone!
A lot better than previous versions, finally updated. Please add split screen for Samsung devices, duplicate transaction search and fix the backup. I've lost an entire database.
Thanks for help! Have spent a long time trying to find reports feature. Either it's missing or so well hidden it requires detective work. Can you explain?
Excellent app with all the functions you need. Please don't change the design (to material) like everyone else seems to be doing ; leave the character of your app as is.
Great. Although there doesn't seem to be a way of hiding specific accounts. I.e. Those which are closed or don't need to be seen majority of time. Please implement this.
My wife and I have been using this app for years. Definitely a great way to keep on top of your finances, especially if you have a joint account. Highly recommend!
So glad they're back! Just waiting for Cloud base sync across multiple devices without having to use desktop backup.
I have moved to this app from AnMoney. PocketMoney is one of the few apps I've found that imports my QIF files correctly.
Can't live without this app to manage my accounts and finance
A user from Linux, PC, MAC, iOS and Android and I'm able to seamlessly move between platforms. A++
Tried adding bank fees to a transaction and nothing happens
Great app, very usefull and user friendly!
