Joy-Con Enabler for Android for Android
App is nice. Works perfectly except that there is lag between button press and on-screen action. This is generally believed to be an issue with the Android OS, though, so I won't hold it against this app. Should have some sort of game functionality before paid upgrade. Will leave installed, hoping for a push notification if/when input lag issue is resolved.
First, actual criticism. The extras menu is in portrait mode if rotation is locked, while the rest of the app forces landscape mode. Second, the developer's handling of issues is subpar, instead of handling things, they insist on insulting people. You don't insult your customers. That's not how you make sales.
Why don't you just make a popup message when opening the app. About the input lagg. Btw. Do you know me from XDA? I sent you a dm
Input lag is an Android/hardware problem. The developer of the app can't do anything about it. If you use a single joy con without this app, it still lags
The idea is good, but you need to fix the input lag. Every android device that i know of lags including the one you used in the video. Just because you sped up the footage doesn't mean we can't see the struggle.
Hey can you help me out? I can't wait to try this and I just bought it. But it says there is a rooting problem how do I fix it?
I wasn't expecting this app to be as good as it actually is! I was expecting something low quality (since it has a 2.7 star average review), but it turned out to be really useful. I also paid for the full version... (I can't use it yet, so I can't wait to actually try it out on a game)! Thanks for this useful tool!!!
The tester works very well, only one problem...I didn't read that I needed root(yes, I'm stupid for that), and I don't want to root my device because of the risks, so is there an email I can contact to request a refund? Thanks. EDIT: I ended up rooting my phone, so you don't have to worry. The joycons work perfectly! Keep up the good work!
I don't even own joycons but I saw the hate you're getting for an OS issue. I'm sure your app is fine, I've dealt with the same issue using ps4 controllers. Shame you can't just plug in joycons.
Its good it shows you that it can be done in the little test area but in order to even use the thing you need to be rooted. So i accidently got the pro and then realized i dont want to root my phone and lose my warenty. I dont see why this needs a rooted device but theres proably a reason. Just wish you made it more obvious that you need to be rooted to use this.
I honestly believe that this whole thing is bogus. I mean, you actually have to pay to use the app to it's full extent. Next time, just put the price at $1.99 to install the app, and be done. I could find an app like this for free. This is just pure greediness.
Dev is kind of a douche for locking the main feature behind a paywall. Like for real, it's advertised that "oh this app can let you use both Joy Con together" but you can only do that if you pay $5. Really bad move, Dev. Really bad move.
The free version is basically useless I know what it says it will do is test but I wish it would give me a trial or sonething
I understand that the lag is a os thing but do you have any suggestions to make it better? P.S Was there lag on the device in the demo video?
Does exactly what it says it does. Now once the developer cracks the lag from Android's end this will be great! Looking forward
Learn to read people, seriously. Kudos to the dev! Hope the lag issue will be resolved one day.
Loved the app, a master piece. Nice job on it. Although I agree with the fact that they should be reading the description 100% and its obviously they're fault if they cant spend 5 seconds to read the first line of the description, maybe you can get some off them off ypur ass if you do a popup on startup.
Hey developer plz make like custom layouts like people can change the color and where the buttons are and suff like that. One more thing all u people are saying its lagging UPGRADE FROM KITKAT VERSION OF ANDROID YOU DUMB ****
Does what it says but can't test in more apps also I call storebait as it's free but you have look in the read more or download to find out it's not. apps like this always get a bad rep and please add a *root* tag.
THIS SUCKS IT CONSTANTLY LAGS SO BAD. READ THE COMMENTS AND LOOK HOW DUMB THIS DEVELEPER IS. HE MUST BE A BLOKE
After reading some of the devs' replies to reviews. I downloaded this just so I could 1-star it. You should consider hiring a grown adult to handle your PR, kid.
Sadly,It would only work with my right controller
The joy cons already able to interact with some apps, like Chrome, Twitter. I'm looking forward to see how this app can make it better.
Pretty sweet, the lag actually works for me because it doesn't hurt to challenge myself to play a little different from time to time
The controls are really bad and the app is a waste of space.
I like the concept of being able to enable my joycon in games, but in order to use joycon enabler pro it sucks because you have to pay for it. Please change it so you DON'T have to PAY for it.
I dont know how it is because i cant pay for the enabler.
Misleading: the app itself is free but the use of it isn't. :/
Works well. On the OP5 the lag is not noticeable.
Keeps on trying to get me to buy the pro version
I liked it it is vary useful for emulation only problem is the strange lag when you press a botun
This is a good app for what it does, but the developer lacks any sense of professionalism.
Currently the only app that does this for Android,AFAIK. Great job and thank you for the time and effort you put into this app.
Not sure how to use it, keeps telling me to root my device. Using a Samsung Galaxy S8
I cant even use it because its two dollars to use it with any games!
Good concept but it read my right joycon as the joycon
You do not need this app to use the joycons
Before i buy,Am i able to play gta san Andreas android?
Cool I guess (joycons don't connect)

I like the concept, but I don't like basic usage behind a paywall. When the app is out of development, if you really want a paywall somewhere I would recommend leaving basic features (like usage in other apps) alone and monetize advanced features like remapping buttons. Despite this, I see promise in this app and hope it becomes a sucessful. The only bottleneck is input lag so if you could talk to Google about fixing it, that would be great ;).
