AutoAlly for Tesla / BMW i for Android
Lowered from 5 to 3 stars. App improvement/fixes have slowed/stopped. Quick settings don't work, and wear features don't work well. Other Android options now available.
The app works well, and I love the widget to turn on the climate control. Upgrade the graphics and allow customization to fit our individual automobiles for a 5th star. For example, I have a blue Model X, which obviously doesn't have a sun roof.
Never got to use it. Crashes and closes as soon as you try to open it.
Lowered to 1 star. The app always crashes on startup. Login- it doesn't detect spaces in user id and password. My user id was autocorrected with a space. I couldn't login and didn't get any errors, the app would just return to the same screen. Details- "Unlock doors" command returns an error "Trips" shows my total electric distance way above the total odometer (probably reads km instead of miles).
Just crashes on login for BMWi europe... and I missed the refund window :(
Crashes after login on S7 edge
Force close on Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge :(
Snappy, quick, functional.
App crashes when trying to login.
UI is pleasant. Bring able to log in using my fingerprint, on android, now is awesome. Can now have a widget for climate control, locking the doors fantastic! Keep up the good work!!
Has a few more features than the stock Tesla app, but the interface isn't as refined. Recent updates have improved it tremendously, and unlike the stock Tesla app, you don't have to wait for two way communication with the car to queue your commands. That makes it worlds more convenient.
Congratulations, looks and works great and MUCH faster than the Tesla Android app.
Bugs galore Trying to use the app with BMW i3 I encountered bugs on almost every screen. Login- it doesn't detect spaces in user id and password. My user id was autocorrected with a space. I couldn't login and didn't get any errors, the app would just return to the same screen. Details- "Unlock doors" command returns an error "Trips" shows my total electric distance way above the total odometer (probably reads km instead of miles) "Find Vehicle" and several other pages complain about screen overlay, had to kill the app to get out of the loop. "Charging details" crashes the app Those are the bugs I found within first 15 minutes with the app. It contains a lot of unrelated bloat- social network integration, weather, utility rates (wrong) and looks uglier than BMW iRemote app. The only advantage I found so far- it doesn't nag for the PIN as often as iRemote. The developer expects the users to be the QA and pay for the privilege. **Edit** After a few days I noticed the "screen overlay" issue on other apps, I believe it is a problem with my phone and not related to AutoAlly. I found new bugs, but google limits the word count in reviews. This app should've been a free Beta.
I am using it with BMW i3. Thus app provides same functionality that BMW app does, but it looks like it is more stable. I can add a widget on my phone to start precondition (without entering pin). In addition, this app works with Wear, and I can complete remote functions from my watch. The Watchface does not work with Wear 2.0, but opening stand-alone app does. I hope the developer can implement material design because right now the looks are not the best.
Not perfect yet... but still giving 5 stars as Dev has been 'working like Elon' getting things improved. Most issues are solved, and Dev is very responsive. It is great to finally have an Android option for Tesla aside from the rather poor official app. Fav features thus far: - Homescreen widgets... can start climate, or honk horn/flash lights with one click. - Android Wear support. Still a bit buggy, but similar to widgets, can at least start climate/honk horn from the watch.
Login works now, but app crashes frequently...
Seems to be non functional. Bought app, tried to log in just looked at me. Changing login information.
App crashes when trying to login.

Would not start, just crashes immediately after starting. Developer contacted but no response for at least a month. Will be requesting a refund.
