Compass for Android
Excellent compass app. Saved my life when I wad drunk and lost in my backyard.
The compass it self seems to be off by ~15 degrees and I don't see a calibtation option. Also coordinates don't get displayed even though Location is on and the app is shown to be requesting it. I'm givin it 4 cuz I see potential but I'm waiting for updates.
This app works well and best of all no annoying ads! Thank you!
Does what it's supposed to do and ad free. Doesn't get much better than that
Pointer went round with the phone
Is off by -95 degrees. Compass shows North which is actually West
Unreliable, complete waste.
Works just like a mechanical viscous damped compass but with more resolution. Just can't get the coordinates display to work.
Way off, was showing north where west is, uninstalled
Very nice Compass. Could you also add some more live info like quality of measurement and active magnetic flow. Ad-free makes this little app perfect.
The longitude and latitude function isn't displayed, otherwise does the job.
Too bad location will not show even when selected.
No ads, which is nice
No ads, fast respond, very low memory usage.. Awesome!!
Need a message to pop-up when accuracy is low and callibration is needed. It is not reliable otherwise.
I have no problems using the compass and having checked it against the satellites the readings
Working fine and no ads,so good!
it is not accurate.
This compass is a nice simple compass. It also doesn't have ads. I needed one for work to tell me quickly which direction is north. Testing it today it showed north as south. I decided to try to calibrate like you do other compass apps and it started to work properly. I think the developers are making a mistake not advising people to calibrate the app. FYI, with the app open do a few figure 8's with the phone then flip it over a few times. SUGGESTION: An option for "True North" would be nice.
Smooth operation, and seemed to be correctly calibrated on first use. No option to calibrate provided, but maybe it doesn't need it!? The statement 'The only compass you'll ever need' is a not quite correct, a heading dial would be nice, and the possibility of overlaying the graphic on your preferred mapping App would make it more complete. Very good though if an accurate simple compass is all you need. 4/5
Don't know if it's the app itself or the app with an Android phone. Either way, it seems that 4 out of 5 times when opened, North is facing west or south. There's no calibration feature that I could find. I like the simplicity and the fact that I'm not dealing with advertisements. But what good is that if a compass can't tell the difference between north and south.
Completely useless. North pointed South, then West but almost never North. Looked in settings but they were no help when trying to calibrate.
I'm uninstalling this. If the sun is rising directly south today, something happened that will probably end the world.
North is ~60 degrees off from where this compass says it is. Thought it might be my S7 but Google Maps gets it right. The app looks great, updates quickly but something is fundamentally broken for me personally.
Could not get this app to work for me. The bearings were completely off, and I could not find a way to recalibrate.
Had to install a analog antenna on the garage. TV Fool said to point North. I thought I had my bearings good in my head. Installed the antenna, pointed it to what I thought was North. Thought I would do the Measure Twice Cut Once Theory and used this ad-free app. Well I was wrong by about 45 Deg. Then pulled out a hiking compass to check again and they both were the same. Thanks for the help and good job on the app.
I'm wondering how they calibrate these compass apps. I've downloaded two and both are wrong and give different bearings sitting still in the same place so I know it's not my phone.
Depends on if you want a compass that works correctly all the time. Haven't moved a step, and it showed I was pointing South when it should have showed EAST!
I wanted something small and ad free, and I would have paid for it, but this one works well. I should like a few extra features, like selectable averaging period, and an arrow pointing to the 0-to-360 scale, but the app is very good even without these. Note that the compass can be recalibrated by waving the phone around, a feature built into my phone, so it's not required in the app.
90 deg out ,, not much point in a compass app that points the wrong way. Other compass app Radar worked fine . I cant see a way to calibrate this app...
I'm an outdoor enthusiast, so I know my directions, especially in my home area, and I'm finding that this compass is off by 10-20 degrees in all directions despite the device calibrations, location set by GPS, Data, and WiFi, and an unobstructed view outdoors. Magnetic declination maybe? This one is off when compared to my mechanical compass. App is a simple compass though. I'll hold onto this app and look forward to its updates and improvements. Samsung Galaxy S7.
The epitome of a great app. It gives what it promises at a push, presents it and functions flawlessly with no clutter or ads. If only more apps could deliver this...Thank you Devs!
Inaccurate. Put phone against a block, due north. Turn 90 degrees 74°. Place other side against block 155°. So not consistent.
Finally...an app that is not only free, works like a champ, but to be ad free also. Keep up the great work.
great compass and no ads. it doesn't get any better...
Very nice looking, simple and effective interface. On my device LG x150 it is accurate enough. No ads is a major plus!
Garbage. Is off and mostly backwards. West shows almost estate etc
Every time I open it, it says I'm facing north regardless of what direction I'm facing...
Impressive for a debut app! Simple yet useful!

Not too many features, but it's a compass, what else should it do? It does give you your coordinates in longitude and latitude. Works very well! It is very nice to find something this functional without ads! thank you so much for your efforts!
