About Fret Master PRO

The ability to quickly find any note or octave on the guitar fretboard is a vital tool for every serious guitarist. This skill will allow you to better understand the music you are playing and it will allow you to transcribe that music to any position on the guitar fretboard. Knowing where all the notes are on the fretboard will also make it easier to apply standard music notation to the guitar and communicate with other musicians. A better understanding of the guitar fretboard will also give you the foundation for improvising new chord voicings or lead riffs.

The good news is that learning and remembering the notes on the fretboard isn't hard and it only takes a few minutes a day to add this skill to your guitar arsenal or sharpen your reflexes to find notes more quickly. This app will provide you with lessons, quizzes, and advice to help you learn, remember, and quickly find the notes on the guitar fretboard.

Good concept and pretty well implemented. Saving custom exercises only partially works. Seems like the check boxes aren't initialized correctly if you create more than one quiz in a row. Needed features: - "retry quiz" button on quiz stats popup - edit saved custom exercises - recognize the note if played on a guitar If those get fixed / added then I'd give it 5 stars.

Nice tools. It would be great if you can have the app to say random notes and let me find it on my guitar not on the app.

Great tool to help memorize note positions. I would give this a 5 star rating, but it becomes kind of frustrating when you have to close the app and restart after taking a customized quiz.

The app is very useful, the lessons and quizzes are very helpful, and customization is nice! This app also has some of the best sounds in fretboard apps, whereas others can be very annoying. The reason I gave only 3 stars is because there is a bug that occurs very often where when you finish a quiz and return to the main screen, it gives you no buttons to do something else, and you have to quit the app and re-initialize to keep practicing. If the bug were fixed, I'd give it 4 stars. Functionalities I would recommend adding: an option to show both flats and sharps at the same time, and the ability to remove the fretboard panning when showing notes. I want to be able to see the whole fretboard (at least from 0-12 frets at the same time with no panning during the duration of the activities!

good app. helping me to learn the fretboard and lots of different ways to practice and test. only negative is really high battery usage....play for 10 minutes and batt goes from 50% to 42%. And if I don't kill it in the background will go down further.

Can you please make an option to remove the question marks in the quizzes where you chose the position. Toward the end of the quiz there's only a few question marks left and it kind of defeats the purpose of the quiz. Thanks!

All in all I like this application very much I took off one star because it has a few intermittent bugs. For example, in the testing drills, it sometimes gives me the same note over and over and over again. And it has sometimes given me a blank name for a chord. It is very good, but just slightly buggy.

A sharp (or a flat) is NOT an accedental. An accedental is a note that falls outside of the key. They would only be accedentals if you were playing in the key of C which has no sharps or flats. Some sort of note drill would be helpful.

I recently devoted myself to learning music theory so I can learn to understand what I am playing. I was looking for an affordable solution that I could input my own lessons. Such as breaking it down into chunks of 2. Like memorize all B-C and E-F locations etc. This app allows you to create custom lessons which is exactly what I needed. I would suggest there be a way to set specific notes to be read as flats or sharps. Ex. Eb, Bb and the rest as sharps.

Really like this app, it's perfect for learning the Fret board. My only small criticism is that although colour coding the notes is a nice touch, using red for A is a bit confusing as red usually indicates an error.

This app is great for alternate tuning learning With a lot of apps this is not possible. With this app you can create your own tunings and its very simple to operate. BUY it
