Qutub Minar Audio Guide for Android
Instead of:
- Just strolling through this 800-year old monument without understanding the stories and significance of its structures
- Enduring pushy local guides with their own version of history, who either want to take you shopping or move on quickly to the next customer.
- Getting bored by the dull information boards at the monument or underwhelmed by cumbersome guide books...
… why not try something new? Go ahead, make your once-in-a-lifetime visit memorable!
Presenting CaptivaTour! A captivating mobile audio-guide that you can download onto your phone (free for a limited period!) over WiFi at your hotel or home - you won’t need any data connection at the monument itself.
Our Qutub Minar CaptivaTour narrates the story of an iconic 800-year-old tower that has become Delhi’s mascot.
What makes the Qutub Complex special are the many incredible stories hidden within its walls. Stories that you are unlikely to find in any of the books or local guided tours.
Our narration of the Qutub story starts at an unlikely point – a twelfth century romance that seems made for Bollywood!
And as we take you through the 800-year journey of this complex, some of the other fascinating scenes you’ll witness are:
- A hurried cut-paste job that has endured earthquakes and lightning for 800 years
- A 1700-year old Iron Pillar that hasn’t rusted. Ever.
- A stunning example of collaboration across generations that would be the envy of today’s leaders
- The dramatic evolution of Indian architecture over centuries
- The story of a ruler who used a dash of, well, socialism to defeat the world’s greatest military conquerors
And if those stories aren’t enough, then how about this - the Qutub Complex signifies the commencement of one of the most fascinating socio-cultural experiments in the history of humanity – one that is still playing out!
Intrigued enough?

Really nice app. Looking forward to more.
Amazing stuff.. It does not bog you down with the amount of information, but transports you back in time. Would like to hear more from these guys
This is a superb app which is a mix of historical facts and anecdotes. The content is really well researched. I have used other audio your guides that only provide audio - this one also has loads of pictures and maps too (which u can zoom into btw). Using it while walking around Qutub Minar one really feels transported back in time. Hope to see many more locations added in future ...would be more awesome if the map with locations also has a list next to it...
Can't wait for more!!!
Much better than guides.. Love!!
