It is great
Great
I like the minimal interface but... You have a favourites feature but there isn't a way of viewing your favourited phrases later. There should be a menu where you can do this. Also, the list of phrases in each menu is of limited size and the phrases are randomly selected. You should at least add a way to browse all phrases. Otherwise, good job
I have always had trouble finding ways to learn japanese. Everything was confusing me until I had found this app. It is great for beginners. It teaches the casual ways to speak instead of the formal, which helps a whole lot. I am having a bit of confusion with th he search bar, but this app is amazing. 5 stars!
The longest apps in my phone. I never uninstall it since I found it a year ago. Thank you! Really useful
Usefull for new users
Add more words
The best app ever. ~❤
This was a very great app to learn japanese but most of it are casual and and less formal.. This is great because most japanese manuals starts with the formal form but here, you can learn directly the phrases used in manga and anime,, even rude words... I dont know how to use the advance tab... There are some corrections with the はand わ. It was very misleading
If you're trying to learn Japanese, this app sure helps! Pretty cool how you can select phrases that start with hiragana characters. Though I don't think you can select with katakana. But katakana is used for foreign words so it's not as important as hiragana ~
Super easy to use! Fantastic app... seriously, dont take our word for it, download it yourself and see why this is and should be 5 stars! This is an excellent app to have to aid you in learning Japanese. And its FREE. I would definitely donate! Thank you Hacker World.
I used it for a couple of weeks. When i started using it in conversation with my friends it seemed to have had a bad result. Some phrases were highly rude and some didnt really mean the same as english translation. The app can use a more detailed explanation of phrases for atleast the beginner section.
I like it.. cause i'm an otaku.. and i really love japanese language. For me it is good.. but i think when we want to hear the word.. better the pronouncation must with emotion.. cause when i hear.. it just. Read and go. Usually when we speak there is our emotion in that.. everything i like and i hope you can fix me for this.. so you can be the best.
I went through the app and found it very useful! The phrases have everything: verbal speech, Japanese characters, and most importantly, Romaji! I wish there were more apps like this.
Pretty awesome I talk to my friends in Japanese all the time now. Only complaint is I don't understand the advanced part. I wasn't learning by characters but by speech so I can't use advanced until I take the time to memorize the characters which is kind of a nuisance.
Useful sentences and nicely ordered by alphabet, but I feel like the sentences were translated through google translate of something.. some of the english sentences make no sense whatsoever.
All of the translations are VERY INFORMAL and things you'd only use with your close friends and family. Some of these phrases are also kinda rude in general.
Mostly "canned" anime quotes and phrases. Good for anime fans, not so good for Japanese learning. English is a bit off. Probably not a direct translation. Good for start, lot of room for improvement. Recommended.
You can ignore this all you want but I've been studying Japanese for a good year and alot of this is wrong, it mistakes scentances for words and stuff.
It's a simple scientific fact that we remember things more easily if they are funny, dramatic, weird, outrageous, dirty, etc. Other learning programs teach you phrases like "where is the bus?" Which are important but boring and forgettable. You will pick up a language much faster learning phrases like "notice me senpai!" After that, asking for the where the bus is comes super easy.
I was hesitant to install this because the title had ''anime'' in it and it seems I was correct in thinking so, many of them are extremly informal and something you'd only use with close friends or family and not to navigate your way through Japanese culture even then some of them I'd never say to my friends as it'd still be very rude and to top this all off many of the translations are incorrect for example, '' gomenkudasai'', says it's translation is ''is anyone home?'' and to say that this is an incorrect translation is an understatment... ''gomenkudasai'' is not even a proper sentence nor does it make any sense at all. Its closest translation would be ''sorry please'' and this is the case with many translations,I don't even know who the hell is translating these but they clearly have hardly any knowlege of the language at all...
I love this app. Good and easy to learn Japanese.
I'm currently using this app and its just so user-friendly and easy to understand.
Translations are slightly inaccurate. Basic meaning is the same, but the nuance and words chosen to express it is not accurate. Maybe the translations were pulled from fansubs? Hence, anime Japanese. One example, atarimae no koto da which means literally something that of course ( I will do or will happen) is translated as " it is my pleasure". It seems very likely that this translation was taken from a fansub somewhere.
This app has a really clean ui, easy to use, and good for learning common words used in anime
Arigato! This app is super amazing ~ I love how they have it broken down and they also sound the phrase for you if you have trouble pronouncing! If there were such a thing as 10 stars I'd definitely give it 10 (°∀°)b
Some trsnslations do not match the Japanese text. That can be very bad because who does not know yet will think they are correct...
Easy to learn and very fun love it so much
A few of them are are wrong but its a good app to learn japanese so I still recommend people to get it.
It says Arigató means bye while I know it means thanks?

Some of the translations are wrong. Two stars for effort though..
