canopy design

A canopy is an overhead roof or a structure in which a cloth or metal cover is attached, capable of providing shade or shelter from weather conditions such as sun, hail, snow and rain.

The architectural canopy includes projection that provides weather protection, or just decoration.

Such canopies are supported by the buildings they are attached to and often by terrestrial installation provided by no less than two supporting poles, or perpendicular support posts.
