The Canal & River Trust Great eNature Watch

Your sightings will be added to the Canal & River Trust’s species database, which records biodiversity on our waterways and is used to help us protect and conserve the rich array of wildlife that relies on them.

The species spotting is now re-instated!

FYI, App developers, Cottontails live in the Americas, and not in Europe. Their breeding habits are rather more like those of a Hare than like a European rabbit's. To say I'm surprised to find them mentioned is a huge understatement, and makes me question how accurate the rest of your information might be And no way I can see of contacting the developer to discuss the problems

What is the point of logging details of where you are, but you cant log what you have seen.

T70%

It wont let me select what i saw.....all it allows me to do ia sketch WHERE i saw something. Surely what I saw is just as important.........please fix this or send instructions on how to do it.

What a wonderful idea!

The database of creatures isn't inked to the reporting function. Thus, and after you discover what type of duck you have seen them you have to go back to the reporting section rather than report direct from the database. Will the CRT do anything to with your sightings? I doubt it: but I bet they will pass your email address to their charity mugging division.

I have seen 3 muntjac deer, 2 woodpeckers, 2 barn owls, 10 kestrals, 1 murmuration of starlings, 1 kingfisher since I had this app and I have not been able to log any of it because it does not work on my Samsung tab 2 or my Samsung s3 phone. what a shame cos its a good idea..

Lots of room for improvements though, interface seems a little dated, the only way to see other peoples sightings is to go through the faq, that should be a button on first page! Hopefully an update soon.... :-)

Very easy to use app that is handy for identifying what you see if nothing else. It seems to have less info on the "Species ID" than it does when you record a sighting which seems a little odd.

App has potential, but fails at finding a location.

Hard to understand what this app is for. Almost useless as an identification guide. Stops when I try to open report.

A nice clear and simple app to help with animal ID. I like to function to see where species have been recorded. Will help with improving my chances of spotting something!

My children love this app as they can browse the different species and learn a little about each one. We havent logged a sighting yet, but love the feature in the FAQs that lets us see where other sightings have already occured!
