About White Balance

This app uses the phone's camera as a color temperature meter. It has a memory to store and compare colors and will recommend filters to use in photography and cinematography.

DON'T INSTALL IF YOU HAVE HTC Desire PHONE. The app is experiencing difficulty in setting the white balance of the camera. This is being investigated.

Useful in production design for storing colors as references and cinematographers for storing colors to match shots with previous shots. Ensure consistent color temperature from shot to shot.

Too complicated.

I found quite useful and simple to use in my galaxy nexus, much easier than the others. Although, can't comment on the accuracy, it provides consistent readings However the calibrate function is confusing..., after calibration, gives the same readings

It doesn't produce accurate readings. Readings constantly change. Your eyes are a better judge

The app freezes and reboots the galaxy k zoom, please fix it. Please add support for the built in flash for calibration, since xenon flashes are quite stable references... please make it possible to use the center of the screen for measurement, not just in the corner...

I have read and re-read the manual over and over and still cannot figure out how to get a simple kelvin temperature reading of a room. I asked for a refund and ended up with the color meter foklstedt version. Very simple to use. Point at a white object and click. Bang. Kelvin reading.

Has been very useful working out c. temp problems on my video broadcast productions!

Not good on Note 10.1. Camera is flipped 90 degrees for some reason. Shame. Totally useless. Otherwise, it would be a fine app.

G70%

Waste of time and money it doesn't produce accurate readings. Readings constantly change dramatically. Your eyes are a much better judge. Want a refund.

Works on Droid X. Bought to read color temp in K using camera. It does that, however not as a direct feature. Would be nice to have a direct color temp function Instead of having to use the "compare". Don't know absolute accuracy of K reading, but looks reasonable by eye. So... this works!

Very good improvements since earlier versions, especially calibration option. I use this app in conjunction with a Minolta chromameter to set and balance high end video projectors. Helpful in converting xyY values to degrees K.
