Need to disable GPRS (mobile data) to get it connect to the camera. Somehow it cannot connect to the cam for change settings, need to uninstall and install again. Wifi connection hangs, shows connected to Ddpai and phone starts to get warm and cannot be gracefully shutdown, need to force shutdown.

Haven't used the app in a while but now I need to everyone I connect it reboots my phone. ????

crappy app, no auto downloading of video trip, impossible to define timeframe of trip, terrible not intuitive ui, you can download only short clips 5 minutes maximum and have to spend hours or days sitting in car to supervise download process. Cameras specs seem ok but this terrible app spoils user experience.

Need to make it easier to use. Some pages to hard to get into. still hard to use. and not in ENGLISH. mANY OTHER THINGS WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN ,UNTIL CHANGES ARE MADE. can't get into all my setting.

Rubbish. Tried to format two different SD cards (Samsung and Kingston) with two different phones (Moto and LG) with no success. Returning the hardware, too.

Does not work with 3 of my Android phones, versions 7-8. Can you please fix? Maybe use wifi direct connection to the device.

Since I updated my phone to Android 8.0 the there is issue with the app, I need to uninstall the app every other day or on every phone reboot and install the app again to get it work or it will reboot the phone as soon as I contact to the camera.

Rubbish app and camera. Cannot even do anything. Returning my item now.

Have to turn off data to connect to camera. Also this app runs in the background and drains battery like crazy!

As other users have reported, since phone updated to version 8 (Oreo) I also cannot connect to the camera. It just crashes the phone immediately when trying to connect. Update: Support state fix coming within next week (as at 14 Dec 2017).

App is great but Ddpai should add the option for 8h and 12h automatic turn off time once the car is been parked, right now I can only choose 6h and 24h, people usually work 8h-12h so 6h would be to little and 24h would be to much

Mini 2P users, do not update app to new version. You wont beable to connect to your Mini 2p dashcam

Was good but following update it struggles to connect to the camera

Really needs to be updated to work with Android Oreo. Worked great before updating. Emailed developer over a week ago.

For last 3 weeks this anti virus software keeps flagging DDpai as spyware.. Clearly, the developer from China doesn't care about any negative reviews. I will need to shop for another dashcam. Too many problems for waaay too long. I don't understand why Google staff doesn't block this junk.

I don't know why people are saying they can't view recordings from the app. Just touch the screen on the live camera view and swipe left or right to get to the recordings. App is quite good, not the easiest to use but works ok once you suss it out. My only real gripe is that it keeps telling me there is an upgrade available for the camera but the installation fails at the last step and no one answers support emails.

After update will no longer connect. Used to work OK but not anymore. I have a few of these because of a hardware issue. I tried with an unused head unit, all bone stock default. Shows up fine in the camera list when I search for it but won't connect with the default password.

Lookout security Antivirus has marked this app as potential threat. It says that it is a spyware. I don't know if i should keep it in my phone now. In fact I can't understand why this app would need permissions like phone calls and sms, I had to revoke them after installation.

App crashes my Moto G5+ running Android 7. Have to do master reset to get phone to work properly again.

Unable to update dashcam when app telling me to update now. Its also very unclear how to download video and it says download fails.

Where is the snap shot video duration settings????

I don't understand why I can't review the recorded footage. I can only view what was captured when pushing the button to take a snap shot. The only way to review all recorded footage is by taking the SD card out and plugging it into a computer. Rating will go up when we have ability for playback of all recorded footage. Also there is no way to change the language of the camera to another language so I can understand what it is telling me.

Loads of room for improvement. Navigating to specific video can be a pain. Cannot watch recorded journeys via app which is pointless! Constant buffering. Some data shown for GPS not for all journeys. If you want improvements. Also unecessary permissions. I changed permission after installing. I suggest you use the xiomi app. I used the yi4k with WiFi technology and the UI is much better than this piece of.. app.

This is just pure spyware and malware. Just look at the huge list of things the app wants access to? Why would it need access to my browser history and book marks for e.g?

Don't know why people are having problems, worked okay first time with Galaxy Note 2 on Android 4. Like the app too. If having problems check out Ytube videos. I.e Tech moan.......

Works great! Just installed this app on my Samsung Galaxy S8+. Format of my 64 GB card went smoothly, as did the camera firmware update. The app switched me seamlessly between my wifi and directly to the camera. Settings worked fine, nice functionality, good scrolling through timeline. No complaints.

how the hell do you review your footage if anything happens so far im impressed with the camera and the screen via the mobile phone but reviewing it is more or less impossible ....useless

Great camera, app has a learning curve and could be more intuitive. Update your mp4 codec on your pc for smooth 2k viewing.

Failed to add camera so many times I'd refrain from buying another ddpai product again, this application is a failing pile of garbage and will result frequent resets and waste time. Awful

Utter rubbish on android connects when it feels like it even when using work round of turning data off or using airplane mode

Keeps crashing, won't connect to the camera. Keeps saying bad network. Useless app.
