Callcentric for Android
Cannot place outgoing calls, not a real VoIP app. Good for checking balance as others have stated, but thats about it. I still love callcentric's service however, and I use the CSipSimple app with their service and its been great!
I switched to Vonnage for the same low price ($9.90 per month) and recomend you do too. 1. Callcentric does not offer phone support, vonnage does. 2. Callcentric does not offer a device, you need to contact grandstreem or who ever, buy a device for $200, pay $300 to configure and ship, monthly maintainance fees on top, vonnage this is all free. If you have callcentric I recommend you contact vonnage and have your number ported to them.
I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING WRONG! When you first open the app and it asks for "phone number", enter your cell number NOT your Callcentric number. Then make wifi calls. Your cell will ring when it has made the connection. Answer. Talk. Voila.
So outdated it's worth almost nothing. Can't even access voicemail.
Works with no problem and save so much money for international calls. Love it!
This app is outdated and stale; it has absolutely no functionality. Download it only if you want to relive the nostalgia of the old, old, old UI of Cupcake!
Lol they unoffically advertising Official website. Saying we can use this as whatsapp number ? Truth is they need new registered customers. But failed.. you guys failed.. This app is built on lies
Call centric is an amazing service when you log in and configure online and then use with a sip client like zoiper or xlite. I just use this app to check my Bala ce, I'm surprised how much this app doesn't work considering they are so good online, get your act together guys!
Uses click 2 dial, meaning three charges for one call. Should at least be able select whether to use that or regular voip/data calling. Interface gives no options to change account settings. You'd think after all these years they'd improve this app. Otherwise Callcentric has a good service offering but their own app sucks. Use some other mobile softphone with your Callcentric account.
Does not work
Set callback number, your Callcentric name and password and that's it.
A lot of reviewers don't understand what this app is designed for. I use it for making international calls from my mobile, and for that, it works perfectly.
I love Callcentric, but this Android app is meh! I can live with the lack of features. But this app has no way to even edit settings unless you re-install or go into Android App Manager and reset all a caches. What were they thinking?
Not working as it should be. Call not connecting via app..account balance will be deducted even if call not connected
When I call someone I can't here them and they cant hear me
Not a SIP client.
Nice app
I verified I am using the right info online and I still can't login
So outdated it's worth almost nothing. Can't even access voicemail.
What a waste of app i woud rather use c cimple cip
When I try to make a phone call it dials my Callcentric account number. Hilarious! and pathetic...
They keep on telling me my username and pasword is incorrect...can you help me....before i give u that full star
Works EXACTLY as described.
I'm on Android 4.4.4 on a 2013 Moto X. The app installed. It will place calls, but when connected I cannot hear the person I called. I know it connected because I get voice mails with the other person just saying hello. Please fix this app.
I would explain but honestly it's not even worth a minute of my time to write it. Should be out of business.
Excellent work!!
No callback
...it's an app for people with a Callcentric account and uses their click2call callback feature so that if you have an mobile phone plan with free incoming minutes then you save your prime minutes and get Callcentric calling card rates.
This is the Click2Call app (why didn't they just call it that?) In the settings be sure to enter your *callback number* in the phone number field, NOT your Callcentric number. People complaining it's not a VoIP app are confused... It's not supposed to be! Android has a built-in SIP client that works with the service if that's what you want!
The title says it all. Works great when combined with an unlimited incoming plan, especially while roaming or for long distance calls. I would imagine the same for a My5 or similar plan. Just a note that this is not a Sip client. IMHO, it's better than a SIP client in that I can have (slightly more expensive, yet) high quality calls when all I have is 3G or Edge.
Does what it's supposed to do.
A fantastic app for travel.
Just a callback tool that connects you over your regular cell airtime.
Saving $ now on foreign trips. Very convenient. Surprised by bad ratings & misunderstanding of app. Guys, this is not a SIP softphone and you must be a Callcentric user for app to work.
Callcentric is a great VoIP service. I am a long time happy customer, but unfortunately this is not a true VOIP client. Will not work on tablets.
I cant call using android phone to telephone. call failed. But im use to telephone and pc or pc and telephone is good pls fix the problem. Country philippines
Does not work on Motorola Charm
what a wasted opportunity. this is just a generic softphone dialer with some dial-back functionality for people whose VOIP usage orbits around their cellular account. what i would have wanted to see out of a "CallCentric App" would have been GUI'ed Android access to my CC vmail, call history and settings as well as vanilla dialing. the "history" only shows the calls seen by the app while running; NOT the call activity seen by the DID. the architect seems stuck in the 1990's cell carrier mindset: the internet is just some pimple on a cell-phone. this GalNote owner sees his Android device as a pocketable internet device that can connect over a cellular carrier, as well as wifi, and that allows voice communication as value-added. this "app" shows all the design creativity of a "Call-Centric complimentary grocery tote-bag". it's a good thing that it's free, although it's still overpriced.
Needs more features to justify having this app on my phone. Needs voicemail access, call logs, settings page to modify call handling rules, etc.

Good for keeping track of your balance. That's all I really wanted it for. An easy way to check my balance without the hassle of logging into the website. It is excellent for that. The app is otherwise completely useless. I could not get it to make a call with my Callcentric account. It just says "call failed".
