RawVisionDemo for Android
Restrictions on demoversion seem to prevent directory traversal and thus effectively stopping you from reaching the picture directory. Either that or permissions or filesystem problems are the root of this evil. No reason to even consider buying the complete product if the demo is this fuzzy.
Totally confusing UI. I was not able to enter desired folder, so I even didn't see if it works on image. Bad app.
Archivos DNG de Samsung no son posible visualizar.
Can't share RAW photos
Crap, and after developer reply is evident that its not just shame...
Found RAW files. For some reason it reports 0 images, then I dug into some of the folders and found them.
"Raw vision has stopped" LG G4
Cannot edit in android lollipop, error : unfortunately rawvision has stopped
I store my images on a WD NAS. So far the WD Photo app doesn't support Raw. Will purchase RawVision as soon as I can access my .dng s :-)
Where does it save in demo mode. Finished editing my photos saved them by clicking done. But can't find the any where
Good start, but when can we expect full support for Olympus .ORG raw files. Since both Olympus and Panasonic are leading the march to Mirrorless cameras (micro 4/3rds) it seems only right that they get full support.
Opens CR2, but UI very awkward. Needs better UI. Wish it would open CRW files.
Doesn't open ARW raw files from my Sony Alpha... But hope still is in my heart! )))
Does not support Panasonic/Lumix RAW formats (RW2). As I use a Lumix camera when travelling, I would like to see support for this format. Nice to see PEF supported.
Doesn't open MRW raw files from my Minolta A1 camera... Can this be added?
Constant fc!!
Dont even bother with the demo. Totally worthless. Showed me nothing that I want to use in the full version.
On my asus prime the full screen view, the images are badly rasterized. Deinstalled the full version. Hope that this issue will be solved, sadly i cannot test it, because the demo version doesn't allow to show an image full screen.
Super software, in the future versions will be nice to implement basic editing and lens correction (like DXO or Lightroom).
Looks like an app with great potential. Would need Panasonic RAW (LX3 & co) to be useful for me. Keep up the good work!
I tested this on a phone, and the user experience is HORRIBLE. It's unbelievable how devs manage to mess up an app so much. You see thumbnails of your pictures so you press one of them. But it does not open (why not!). Instead, you are shown a menu with too many options. Tap "open", and then you can view the photo (I don't think it's the full resolution version) with a histogram which is inconvenient to show/hide. The file browser is just wrong in every way. A pain to show/hide, a pain to navigate, slow. Too small fonts for a phone. There should be a better way to access editor. more options> edit (WTF?). This editor is slightly better, but still very incomplete for RAW editing. Is more like instagram+paint. Contrast, etc is modified through a slider which is a pain to use: every time you slide it, the phone vibrates, and the (distracting) vibration makes absolutely no sense. To sum up in one word: disgusting. Devs: why did you apply yourselves to make it awkward and unpleasant? Embrace Android Guidelines!!!!!!!!!!! Devs: I am a software engineer and A. dev. I understand how SW & apps are supposed to work (and feel!), thank you. Judging from your response, I think you don't :(
lr4 = Light Room 4. I wanted to import my photos into lr4 where they are converted to DNG. Then use my Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 to rate them and sort out the keepers. But it would not open the adobe .dng file. I though since Adobe created .dng that it would work fine. But all I got as a red circle with an "X" in it for the adobe .dng files. Seemed to work fine for .jpg.
Excellent
File transfer speed makes app useless. Tried on Canon 5D Mark II to download cr2 files.
This app does not work. It cannot see or read an SD card with images from an Olympus camera. Card plugged into USB port of a Nexus 10.
Horribly slow.
App looks amazing and I can view all my images as small thumbnails, but when I try to view full size the app crashes. Why?? :(
This may work with my NikonD700.. Who knows?
Good
This is what I've been looking for, since I prefer to shoot only in RAW. I won't have to carry my laptop with me any more to check my work. What a relief! This is why I love Android
I initially had problems but this was my ignorannce of how android sees a usb conected camera. Its worth taking a moment to read some of the developers replies where others have experienced connection issues as it isn't the software, rather a quirk of how android differs from microsoft in attaching to a camera via usb. The app has a few niggles regarding navigating the features but not enough to outweigh the benifits of being able to work with raw images on my tablet. Overall i am very happy with the product and very happy with the quick response from the developer who helped me understsand how to get the tablet to see the camera. Essential app for traveling light with my DSLR and being able to review and backup my work as I go.
... the text in the folder list is so small (on an 8" tablet) that I cannot read it without a strong magnifying glass; hence I cannot find my image files to test the app :( EDIT: I just found the font size selector in preferences - I can read the x-large size; so can now evaluate the app ...
Hi I have tried the demo version but it can not read my canon eos 10d & 5d.yup, old cameras. It did not read my USB card reader too. Can you help me? Can u email me the info how to use it on demo version? If I can use it then I will buy it. Really need it,but if it could not read my cameras or card reader then useless. Thank you. My email utiwjy@yahoo.com
Tried this one along with two other raw image reading apps, and this one by far was the cleanest and most intuitive. Will most likely be buying pro version to get rid of ads and be able to edit raws on the fly!
this app onley freezes ongalaxy tab 10.1
It took a moment or two to workout how the app worked - It became more intuitive the more I played with it. This seems the better of the RAW apps that I have tried and I have now downloaded the paid version.
You can't recover overexposed photos, brightness and effects are not applied to the raw image.
Everything I do on my phone it is asking to be the app for it calls emails everything bad app Not shure about this one. It works but due to some UI bugs it crashes. worked out why it crashed so not sure if it is a over site or my hard ware not up to the task. Having some time to think about this one as does show some good potential, may even be worth stumping up some cash for the full version.
Better apps out there. Awkward interface. And why is trying to open EVERYTHING?
