One-touch Voice Note

Long-time user. Once the MM update arrived, it's back to being n indispensable app. I use multiple times daily, driving or just thinking out loud. Makes dictating reminders for notes, tasks, client updates, stock orders a breeze by being able to steer email to the right recipient with a first-word voice tag. Dev responds quickly too. Makes my on-the-road time much easier.

This is an awesome app, actually one of the few I'd actually pay for. The only suggestion I could make is that at the end of the recording it would time out and close itself , to make it easier to use while driving. Awesome job development team thank you.

The only reason why I did not give it give stars was because it was a bit confusing at first. Great for sending emails to myself. It also saves both documents. Sound and print. The writing was not accurate. But it was good enough. Four stars.

I've been using the app for a long time, but lately something changed (maybe Google) and if I use the Google Voice Recognition engine I always get the Error message: Error performing speech recognition: Speech not recognized. [7] This is annoying a requires multiple button presses to get rid of the error message, which isn't even right, as it still recognizes text. I can fix it by changing to the ATT recognition engine, but I don't like that one as it doesn't function very well. 5 stars if it was working again.

I can't add more than 2 shortcuts to my desktop. Maybe it's a compatibility problem with the Nova Launcher. Would be great if this was sorted.

Been using a long time. Don't think it could function any more simply.

I initially liked this program a lot when I ran it on my Samsung Galaxy S4. Now that I bought a Samsung Galaxy S6, it no longer works. It crashes and I get the message "Unfortunately Voice Note has stopped". It dies without opening at all. My phone is running Android 5.1.1.

It doesn't work if you don't have a connection. I was hoping it would record the note and save it for when there is a connection, but it simply refuses to take any notes. This is useless for me since I am not always in an area of good reception.

UPDATE ... After 2 years, felt the need to toss in another plug. Updates are frequent. App is still solid. Keeps improving. An absolute must have for voice-to-text notes to different email destinations . ORIGINAL 2013... I have used many apps for "instant note taking" capability. Reqall was incredible because of the Outlook integration, but they went another direction. Voice Note is accurate, fast, and works great!

It was working great but after the last update the only option is to send a text message. The option of audio file has disappeared. But, after my last review the developer contacted me and solved the problem and now it's working great. Thanks. It's very annoying that every time the app is updated, you need to set all the contacts again.

This met the need. Pretty cool. Two voice recognition engines. The Google engine requires being on line. The AT&T engine works offline. The author claims Google is better but I haven't seen a difference. As might be expected the free version is fussy, popping up SMS messages I couldn't figure out how to delete and the ToDo List kept answering "Sorry, I didn't get that." But on faith in all the reviews, I did the upgrade (99¢—definitely affordable), and everything just works: it removes ads, gives eight buttons vice two, and lets the ToDo list work. Well done. I need this on long drives because my brain works while I'm driving but need to keep eyes on the road. Pick up the phone, speak a thought, email it to myself or another, or the ToDo list... Awesome. Now, if we could have BMW buy him out and install it in the Connected Drive... Business opportunity there, Craig... :-) BMW has a robust voice dictation system that lets you initiate calls, pick routes, and a number of other things with voice. They do NOT have a voice activated SMS/Email/ToDo list feature however. Overall, highly recommended.

Fantastic concept and application when it works. I used to use it all the time on my Note-2. But now that I've upgraded to a Note-4 it frequently crashes when using Google voice recognition. When switched to the ATT voice engine, it doesn't do any voice recognition worth using.

Great concept, but the app constantly crashes on Samsung Note 4 making it unusable.

I've been looking for an app like this for a long time. I love how with one touch, I can record a quick message and have it go to an email address with both the recording and the text transcription. It works flawlessly!

I love that I can now quickly record tasks for automatic sending to my Wunderlist account. Definite time saver!

Doesn't work. Crashes while trying too send

Exactly what I need. Can speak short notes that land in my inbox as emails with one touch from my home screen. Perfect when on the road and in a hurry.

I LOVE this app. I use it more than ANY other app, and I'm an IT guy, so I have LOTS of paid apps. Please try it, and buy it. And no, I don't know the developer.

I have the free version which I really like (except I can't seem to add a photo, or find launcher shortcuts or widgets to be setup for each recipient) and I really want the upgrade but I guess my Sony Ericsson LT28i is not supported.

This is what I needed. I store my to-do list in Evernote, but Evernote's voice recorder has a conflict with Android's built-in recorder which causes it to not work for me. This app solved the problem, and it did it right. Unlike other apps that take too many clicks to record and send , this recorder puts its emphasis on ease-of-use. A single click is all that's needed to launch the application, record your note, have it emailed wherever (in my case, my Evernote acct), and close itself. Beautiful!

I had to play with the settings quite a bit, but I have everything working now and this app is fantastic. Very simple to use and effective for what our needs are. Thanks for developing this.

Simplify note taking. Everyone is a piece of crap compared to this. Everyone needs simplicity. Delete all other note taking apps. This one gets it done.

Glad I found it, because if not, I was going to have to create it! I can't count the number of times I've been on my morning commute and then received a call from a customer. Being unable to take notes while I'm driving, nor schedule a follow up or set a reminder to do something that I talked about with the customer, was leaving gaps in my deliverables. Now I can press an icon, record the note via my car's bluetooth, it gets sent to my email address automatically so that I can follow up when I get to my office. Brilliant. Now I have to root my device, so that I can assign the app to a physical button press and not have to look at the phone for even a split second..

Bring back type message option at start up. Otherwise a great app!

This is a very nice app and easy to use once you set it up. My only problem is I can't figure out how to delete a button.

I travel in my car 2 hours a day so this is a great app for me. Works great.

I thought I'd found all the five star apps in the store by now, so what a pleasant surprise this was! The app does exactly what it claims to do and does it perfectly and easily, and it is so useful. This is one of those "I wish I found it ages ago" apps. Nice work!

Use it every day just what ive been looking for

A little difficult to use, but gets the job done.

Developer answered my question within 24 hours. Touch a button with your favorite contact and it instantly converts your voice to text and sends it to them. Not sure how to remove crossed out items from the todo list though... Minor nit.

Very simple to use and works very well. Low maturity, needs more setup and interface options, but should be kept simple to use, as it is! I got paid version to support the author and hopefully improvements.

Upgrades are nice! Well done. Love this ap. One icon on my homescreen launched the process to completion and then returns to homescreen. Prompt, teadback, send, confirm.
