2016 ALA Annual Conference for Android
Opening screen was disconcerting -- do you touch it to make it go away? -- and I found the app worked much better on my phone than on my tablet. I wish all presenters provided slides & posters!
The app needs to automatically pop to the current date/time instead of making you scroll through sessions for each day to view your next session.
Some small glitches, but overall quite good. Will definitely use again for next conference
Liked it better on my tablet than my phone TBH. Had to hunt to find where to download presentation slides from, and how to view them.
The phone app worked great and made planning my itinerary much easier. I wish more attendees shared their info on the app.
Easy to use, portable. Highly recommended
Once installed, I found it quite useful. Particularly liked the favorites feature and the syncing with my calendar.
Would have been lost without it for my daily schedule!
can't even log in
Easy to download and offered all useful features.
Easy to use and so convenient to have it on your phone.
Very helpful ALA 2016 conference app
This app should be awesome. However, it is a HUGE data hog (even if you restrict its data, it will continue to run something in the background.), and I could not get it to sync with the online version of the scheduler. The maps and shuttle schedules will download as PDFs, but even if you have downloaded them once, it will re-download them each time you click on the button. This is less than useful if you are trying to use it without data or wifi.
I should be able to logon using my ALA credentials. Apps that run in the background and use data do not get my vote. This app really doesn't need to notify about anything, but does all the time. The worst thing about this app is that when you scroll down, it will scroll up. Please bring back the old one.
Easy to download and user friendly.
made the mistake of browsing my schedule while riding in the car--6 GIGABYTES of data used in 20 min!
Couldn't even log in.

Login was frustrating, as the entry fields were incorrectly named. The app functioned reasonably. There were some minor annoyances, such as the notification on "news" at the bottom that would never clear, and clunky scrolling through the schedule. Often, a notification would omit critical info, such as the location of the advertised event. The app was otherwise helpful, and much better than nothing!
