Custom Soundboard Pro by iAC for Android
There are a few quirky things about it, the most glaring being the fact that the player volume is low unless you start, pause and start again. Kinda weird, hoping the devs can figure it out.
I just needed an app to play back sounds files on demand at a live event. I paid 99 cents to get the Pro version that doesn't have ads. It's easy to use and does exactly what I needed it to do. Thanks!
I use this app on my Galaxy S5 as backup for my tablet (which runs the iPad version). Excellent reassurance when running theatre sound effects live.
I'm a radio broadcast engineer and I've been looking for an app like this for ages! And it works and looks good! Only downers (suggestions): Needs to allow browsing both SD and onboard memory for audio selection (add custom folders to choose from). Also needs to be able to stop a single cart wall item (by tapping on it while it's playing, preferrably). Bonus if stopping cart wall item does a fast fade and stop. Finally, tablet support is a must!
It can not just take a sound file and use it, oh no no. Firstly it'll show you all of them in a single list, with an option to find by name, instead of allowing you to navigate through folders. And it will freeze for ~3 fkn seconds every time you add or remove a latter! Awesome! And then it will make a copy of that file in a special folder. Doubles of our files - exactly what we wanted!! And it constantly bugs me with notifications about something. Like rating the app, even when i already did.
When will it be useable on tablets?
The first app I've been willing to pay for, so that says something.
Needs improvement. Crashes a lot. IPhone version is better.
the best tool in the shed but needs a tablet version. ill still give it 5 Stars for what is does

I've used this app off and on for the past year on my galaxy S3 for live performance. Always worked great. Recently upgraded to a Galaxy S7. I don't know what made the difference, but... when a cart is playing, and I select the Fade/Start and then the cart I want to fade into, the first cart will completely stop momentarily, then come back and begin fading out as the next cart fades in. Very sloppy in live performance, makes it unuseable for me.
