GuitarTapp ChordPro for Android
Totally rubbish and it wants permission to your photos storage files no where near the mark of the pro tab version which is totally brilliant but this is s#!t. After you have given them your permission to hack and take information from your device but they so-called want this permission so you can store music sheets if you got talent just write it down much safer. Provided if you can get over how rubbish the spreadsheet is no where near the mark of the pro tab version which is totally awesome. Oh they respond only to cover them selves.
paid for it. says it is not compatible. which is BS. I have a fast laptop.
Fantastic app, thanks guys!
***Update: The Null Pointer Exception has been fixed, but the insertion point the song is being dragged to doesn't track your finger worth a darn. But there's another very major new problem - the editor doesn't work anymore; now its window gets mixed up with the main song display. Reduced from 3 to 2 stars.*** If you try to long-press and drag either the first or last song in the setlist to a different order, you get a null pointer exception. Also, if you're using a Bluetooth keyboard and press cursor-up too many times while editing the song, you'll get bailed out of the edit window.
UPDATE TO THE FOLLOWING REVIEW*********************** The customer support has been improved greatly and the new updates have fixed many issues. I have scrapped the Acer tab in favor of a new larger Tablet (RCA Gallileo) which works very well. Thank you 845Tools!!******* (orig post below) I am a solo performer and have used this app for years and used to recommend it. I even use it on two tablets, which I pay for, so if someone sits in with me they can use the other. It has always been very quirky and has had issues that I overlooked because I liked a lot of the features. However with the new update I can't even get it to stay open on my primary Android tablet (Acer Iconiatab) . The other problem has always been when scrolling thru songs it goes into an error loop that causes you to restart or shut down tablet. But my most frustrating thing has been the lack of support and now I can't even keep the program running long enough to file a report. I am probably going to be cancelling my subscription and using another program that I like less because I need dependability. Very disappointed in the "fixes" and now I have to scramble before an upcoming gig.
Useless! Failed to demonstrate any utility whatsoever. Never went past start screen. Tried to install on 2 android tablets, 1 a new Samsung Galaxy S2 (2017!). Completely underwhelmed!
On Samsung Galaxy S4: Gets hung on splash screen. If you get by that, you get stuck zoomed way in on settings. Sometimes it will open, then can never sign in. App will open onPro12 tablet, its just the Editor won't unlock to save any edits. Software thinks don't own, then it checks to buy and says, you already own....Error.
Supposedly just updated the app now I can't even enter my sign in email without the app crashing, and I can't submit a ticket because I cant sign in.
Can't use on my device
Can't even sign in which makes this app pretty useless
Rubbish, doesn't even load properly most of the time. Went back to original guitar tap app.
I have owned this app for years and loved it and recommended it to others... but I have stopped using it. The number one reason is NO TECH SUPPORT... the help on the website is only for the simplest of problems and no one ever answers tickets for help. For years I have found all my own work arounds, but when the app suddenly failed right before a gig (wiping out all the verses on all the song), with no help on the website and two weeks later, no help from the developer, and then AGAIN this past weekend suddenly going to my next gig and finding my entire setlist for that gig gone.... UNDEPENDABLE. So I thought to write what I have discovered.... You can take your files used in chordpro, add .txt to each name (yes, it takes forever) and then both SetListHelper and Songbook can see and use the files. I have to clean them up from all the stuff that chordpro added, but at least the files can be read, and, in SetListHelper, you store your files in the cloud and as an 'export' on your own harddrive/sd card/etc as backup for any fails.... Just FYI as i could find no possible work arounds on the net and really didn't have the time to actually reenter all my songs into another program.....
No longer works with text files as of latest rev.
Words in lyrics showing overlapped, should be fixed
Good program otherwise
It used to be great. Now is unusable because there is no space between letters
When I ran this app it never went past the splash screen. Uninstall. Nexus 5X phone.

Can't rearrange set lists without it crashing. Newest bug - when swiping to the next song in a set list, app crashes. Very frustrating when this happens at gigs. Very frustrating that developer doesn't respond when these bugs are mentioned. All in all, it's a nice app because of modification options. But the original Guitar Tapp Pro is still a better experience. I notice you can't import songs anymore. Page not found every time. Wonder why?
Crashes on opening 75% of time. When it opens its great. Had problem on Marshmallow and Beta of Android N
I have owned this app for years but this is the LAST STRAW. I have a gig this weekend, playing songs I hardly know, and ALL my verse are gone, no reason but the update. The only verses/songs intact are those where chords are listed all the way through. I have tickets in for help, but knowing these folks, I won't hear anything, never have.
Where are the ukulele chords at?!
No longer loads on my samsung tablet. Also my credits go to zero with each update. Does not seem to work on android 4.2.2
Didn't know I had to buy extra just to listen to songs
I just put in a five star rating for Guitar TAPP Pro. I also just finished entering in two songs on my own with this app. It was a bit of a learning curve but it did a nice job after I figured it out. Getting the songs to go from one app and back needs to be improved. But still. Nice job. Maybe I'm missing something. I still think it deserves the five-star rating though. Please continue to improve it. I really need this program. Thanks. Terie.
I like the app, but - sorry, guys - HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Communication is almost non-existent. NEW PROBLEM: ChordPro app won't sync past 48%. Asked for help on Facebook page, but no answer, so had to resort to coming here to post complaint. Seriously? Again - I want to like this app, but any sort of communication with developer is non-existent, whether on Facebook page or here. UPDATE 4/6/16: STILL WON'T SYNC PAST 48%. HAVE SENT NUMEROUS MESSAGES. PLEASE FIX! HAD TO GO BACK TO ORIGINAL, MORE STABLE VERSION.
Other apps in this category find songs from net ,well this one does too...the differentiator comes playing live when u have everything right in front of you.
I don't have problem with paying for stuff, but this is not good model at all. I ran through my 10 free credits just looking for decent version of popular song. Much of the material here was made freely available on the net by the originator. It's also fair to say many are, simply, wrong - and now I'm being asked to pay for merely checking if it suits my purpose! For me, this app is big FAIL.
Way to ruin a good thing. I'd pay if it hadn't crashed as soon as I looked at it, when it did load it's just a shell of its former self... Sigh, so long...
If you try to long-press and drag either the first or last song in the setlist to a different order, you get a null pointer exception. Also, if you're using a Bluetooth keyboard and press cursor-up too many times while editing the song, you'll get bailed out of the edit window.
On my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014, there are no spaces between words in a line making the line just one word. This makes it unpossible to use. Additionally, I cannot add my own Chordpro files (i håber hundreds of them), it seems because now we have to pay for blocks of files. This disqualifies it completely. Otherwise the app is ok with some bugs of youth.
I have purchased the old app from both the Amazon Kindle store and Google Play. I'd really like to have this app on my Kindle Fire tablets especially with the feature of controlling multiple devices from one. I haven't tried that yet to know how it works.
Bought the paid version ot the old app and now they want more of my money, screw you.
Can't view the tabs from DROPBOX and did you guys remove the SYNC option? I used to have multiple devices and sync the SITELIST but now I am not able anymore :(
Always been very useful for me thanks google play, app and the guitar tab player app and I'm ready to practice and learn. That is all I need. Thanks again great job
What the hell have you done?!?! To believe I payed for this. Ruined!
Love it everything is broken down easily and self explanatory, 5 stars
I bought 100 credits in July and ive used one. They are all gone?? Help
Much improved new version!

It is unfortunate that although ChordPro is integrated for viewing files, editing using ChordPro is not. Editing requires exiting GuitarTapp, copying file to ChordPro directory - loading file from there in ChordPro, editing, saving and then copying edited back to GuitarTapp Mytabs directory. This a cumbersome operation using the file manager on an android tablet considering most tabs on the net require editing. This could be completely alleviated with full integration.of ChordPro with GuitarTapp. Other than this hassle the programs are very good.
