SyncMe Wireless for Android
Love this app. It is the only solution for the DIY Android backup conundrum. Don't pay someone else for your own data. This app has tons of features that make it supreme. I will use it on all my devices and family devices to make sure we never lose anything if something breaks or gets stolen. Thank you.
This app works fine when I manually run the job. When I schedule a job to happen at a certain time I always get a message that the WiFi is not connected or the computer could not be found on the network. This happens when I am connected to the correct WiFi. Also other programs I use have no problem locating the computer or my WiFi in background. Don't know why this app can't do it.
Surprisingly, this little app works exactly as I need it to. The UI is quirky in some ways, but that's fine given I can set-and-forget my external SD and internal SD backups. I also use Titanium backup, which backs up system apps as files to the sdcard. This app copies the Titanium backups to my NAS - backup problem solved!
Will be saving me a ton of cloud subscription fees by letting me sync all my devices with my PC whenever I want. It can schedule but on-demand works perfectly for me. This would be well worth 20 times the price the Dev is charging just by cutting Dropbox from my costs. Data charges to keep things in sync with the cloud are history as well.
It was so promising, but it stopped reading folders after about 4 deep. Many apps go deeper than that. If there is no programmed limit to the folder depth, there is a bug in the program. Either way, you cannot read podcast files downloaded by a podcast catcher like podcast addict.
When you sync from the phone to the network drive it is fine. But if you go in the other direction, the photos are now Re dated into the gallery. So now the photo you took yesterday is a thousand photos away, since all you imported today is now ahead of the photos taken. So posting to Facebook or sharing via other social media is now near impossible!
Excellent solution to keep your phone up-to-date. I use it to keep my PC's music library on my phone. Every day, any changes I make to my collection is mirrored to my phone. I also have a sync job that backs up my entire "SD Card" area to a backup drive on my network--this has saved my butt on a few occasions.
App is good but have some issues 1. If you mistakenly delete some files/photos in your phone and when its sync with computer its also delete these file from your computer or sync server. Its a big issue. The sync should be incremental only Update:Issue resolved. Remove track delete option to achieve it. Changed rating to 4 now.
I've been using this app for a few years now for nightly and on-demand SMB syncs between my phone, laptop, an NAS. The app is great. The only thing that can sometimes be a bit tricky is the initial configuration of a sync. Also the dev is very responsive.
I have been using this app for nearly a year on a Galaxy A3 2016, firstly on Android 5 and now upgraded to 6. Setup is not too hard, the worst thing is finding where Android has stored the files you want - the upgrade to Android 6 broke one of my syncs but (once I'd found where the files had moved to) it was easy to edit the sync and get it working again. Works reliably over wireless so no need to mess about finding a cable. Worth every penny!
Fantastic app. I set it up to save my photos and find on my home NAS. I keep only the last 4 months on my phone and the rest gets backed up. I also mirror sync daily for the 4 months I want to keep. Already saved me twice when we broke/lost our phone. Easy to setup. No glitches so far.
There are so many limitations with the free version that it doesn't do anything useful. I kept getting an error, so i contacted support. In the end, after enduring the rudeness of who must have been the author, the only resolution to my error was to use a feature only available in the premium version. There are better options than this app.
I usually don't write comments on apps, but I am totally blown away with this one! It's easy to setup multiple sync folders or simply backup the entire phone. Multiple jobs wait for their predecessor to complete. Speed is fantastic! It has full logging of failure/success, what was copied, what was deleted. You can do a ton with the free version, and honestly that was all I needed. I loved it so much I went ahead and purchased. Seriously, I don't normally comment, let alone purchase apps. Simply amazing!
So far so good! Does what it says. Has option to Not Delete files on destination folder which is great for backup! Gonna do some more testing and will make the purchase if it all checks out. Good work! Thanks.
Great app with lot's of features. However, that fact that it only supports SMB 1/1.1 makes it less useful since i have switched all my devices over to SMB 3. It would be great if the developer would update the app to use at least SMB 2.
A big thank you to the developers! I'm running a Synology NAS at home and was really frustrated by all the crappy synchronization software that comes with it (the Synology OS is good, though). Then I found this little master piece. It's simple, intuitive, contains all the functions I wished for and most important: It *works*! Another big plus is their fair pricing model. They don't install any questionable advertisement frameworks on your device, but make all basic functions free with the option to unlock all "premium functions" (like filters or advanced scheduling rules) for a very low price (3-4$).
have to ask for external sdcard supported version (got it from author months ago but still not available in store), can't temp turn off a sync profile's schedule without losing the time details, can't copy an existing sync profile to create a new one, doesn't confirm wifi is on before running an item (first file copied triggers failure). would be useful if this app supported computer to computer copy (or move or mirror).
Really good app does what what I need it to do, sync files between my windows 10 pc and my phone on a schedule. I recently disabled smb1 on my windows 10 pc due to the wanna cry ransomware which breaks this application. Are their any plans to upgrade this application to use smb2??
Use Titanium Backup to do scheduled backups of key apps. Then use Syncme to send them to computer. I had and issue with the way newer android versions handles external SDcards. emailed Boris and he took care of me. 5 star app. 5 Star Dev.
Very good solution, but I'm sorry to say that I am not prepared to pay for an app, that hasn't been updated since 2015 and I would need the pro features. For that reason I've gone for SMBsync, which is terribly cluttered, but has all the features and is updated more recently.
The best solution to avoid cloud service costs. Yes, clouds are nice, but overall cost a lot more then a hard drive. And will cost more in the future, while your home disk is empty. Not to mention that cloud services have a limited future and you never know if they are about to fail. This is the fantastic solution to use instead. It just works as intended. Automatically, no worries and work once you set it up. When you're on home wireless it syncs to your network disks wherever they are. Perfect.
I use SyncMe to back up folders on my phone to a file hub, my laptop, and Usb storage. Works great. Small issue is with manually restoring sync folder after a phone swap. I would like to see some sort of backup of the sync folders and settings. For backup of each folder I edit the sync folder an grab screen shot for like 20 sync folders... What a drag. If anyone has up graded to Andriod 6 you will need to change each sync folder and change path from /emulated/0.... to /sdcard/ then every things work perfect
Now I've got it configured and the 1st sync* performed it's perfect! I thought it might not work with the SD card on Marshmallow, but it did. *About that 1st sync tho: the folder structure and files on my PC and phone were identical to begin with, so I was surprised it rewrote every file in the PC folder, which took an age. I'd have thought a simple checksum routine would be sufficient to establish whether existing files were the same. Rewriting 8GB of already identical data seemed rather unnecessary.
The domain name option does not allow me to set manually, thus can't connect to NAS even I had provided correct credentials. I had used another similar tool called sweet home and had the same login problem, but once I entered the correct domain name it work like a charm. It is a NAS that I try to connect to and I don't know how to open the UDP port
The only SMB syncing tool I've used that can saturate my phone's WiFi connection. For example, on my Nexus 6P I could only get up to 2MB/s using Foldersync, with SyncMe I constantly reach over 20 MB/s. Very solid app, but the interface could use some "material love".
It seems that when some files fail to transfer, the app doesn't realize this and never tries to correct the issue. I've got multiple files that are the wrong size on my target (presumably corrupted, somehow) and resyncing does naught to fix it.
Hi. First, I love this app. But I can no longer use it properly on my Note 4 with Lollipop. Are you guys planning to address the issue with SD Card writes in any upcoming version? I'm not a developer by any means, but I found "ACTION_OPEN_DOCUMENT_TREE" while reading about the write to External SD issue. Hopefully that makes sense to you. Basically, I can copy from external SD to computer but can't copy from computer to phone's external SD because of write permission. Thanks and sorry for rambling.
This is exactly what i was looking for. It syncs files exactly how i want to sync them. It also has great options to schedule syncing. If you want control of how and where your pictures are backed up on your computer and how and where music is syncronized then this is what you need. It works flawlessly for me on windows 10 and Android 5.1.
It used to work fantastically .. then Android MM changed how apps are allowed to write data to external SD card.. then the lovely function of grouping photos by year and month stopped working... I wish the developer could do us a big favor...to update it.. many thanks
Since an Android marshmallow change sometime, this app still sees external SD Card folders as 'write protected'. It worked well until then, good app - but I've had to uninstall it as a fix didn't come.. it's been 3-4 months so you can't really recommend an app that can remain faulty for so long.
I've recently clear many pictures and videos already backed up to my PC to free space on my device. Next day, probably after sync have been run, it deleted all this files from my PC folder. I've lost all the data from the last year! This app is very dangerous
Exactly what I needed to sync files with my NAS. Excellent support from the developer. Syncing to external SD has been crippled by Google after Android 4.4, not dev's fault. Donated to thank dev and access extra features.

I would like to have option to set schedule 1 time for all my folders. Because I have lots of folders and changing schedule plan in every folder is annoying. But it's the best app anyway. Awesome work! ☺
It seems like such a simple thing: schedule backups of select files over WiFi. There's lots of file transfer apps that can't schedule and scheduled apps that don't send files. This app is perfect. Simple, elegant, flexible. Awesome. Developer responded same day to an email.
This app used to work on my Note 3 perfectly but now that I have a Note 5 it wont back anything up at all. I get error messages that "Access Denied" to my desktop computer. I am certain of the login to Windows 8.1 and certain that I have shared the folders with "Everyone" . This has failed to work.
Great app to setup automated backup/sync of your android device to a storage device. I am using this on Note-4, with 32GB SD card. The app works great, has a lot of options which makes it flexible, and it has been performing consistently and accurately. The network recognition is a really creative idea, saves a lot of accidental data usage on mobile network.
It works and it's quick. I had good communication from the developer. Would recommend. If you have problems syncing to your SD card sync here: SDcard/Android/data/com.bv.wifisync
I am upping my rating to 4 Stars, because it has improved and works very well now. The negatives are that it needs a Dark Theme and to configure it to suit your needs can be confusing.

Not just simple backup. 1) I sometimes download songs to computer. It helps me to keep music folder on both devices(computer & mobile) synchronised. 2) Edit/delete any synced photo/file from the computer, changes will automatically get reflected in the mobile. 3) Sync and create backup of any folder e.g. download folder of mobile. 4) Gets synced in seconds as no Internet is used. Mobile connects directly to computer through LAN.
