Mobile Fax Free

This FREE fax app has served me well in the past allowing me to send one FREE page per day. Recipients of my faxes have had no issues reading my faxes. I have a new LG Stylo 2 Plus and Android 6.0.1 so until I've used this app with my new phone I will continue to give 5 Stars. I will change it if the newest version with my newest phone isn't as good but I'm confident it will work just as good as before. Also, it uses very little internal storage which is a huge plus for me since apps in general tend to take up more and more space than they once did. Anyway, I disagree with the current overall rating by Google users. It's a great app to have in a pinch and again, it's FREE!

U need to give email so they can force you to confirm fax while viewing their advertisement on web site. Otherwise fax will not be sent. Small price to send a fax. Most of time works fine. FREE for when u need it. Use view page not thumbnail. FAX=low res BW. Wish it let me retry when fax doesn't go, FREE service

You have to take a picture of the page you want to fax using the camera feature within this app (viz., you cannot get it from your image gallery) but there's no preview - just a black screen. You have to take a picture blindly and hope you were holding the camera in the right place! Whose brilliant idea was that?

Good: it's free Bad: the free version only lets you fax one page for free (no coverpage). Ugly: after scanning, and hitting send, you have to check your email, then click a link for it to actually be sent. Extra step in the free version. Verdict: I only needed to fax one thing to my Dr so, although it was unprofessional without the coverpage, it got the job done.

My phone takes beautiful photos. This program does not utilize the phones built in flash rendering the image a greyscale piece of garbage. I cannot justify using The image captured by the program as a fax image.

I sent the fax 6 times n even tho it said fax was sent the place I sent it too did not receive it. Your better off going to the library to send a fax. It only cost 50 cent per page.

Would be great if the camera's flash could be toggled on/off or if it can be, that the feature is plainly visible. Under bright indoor lighting I couldn't get an image that didn't have a wide black stripe in the middle, making the app useless. I'll keep app for a while to see if there is an update. (And I'd be happy to change my review if the app changes.) Otherwise, I already found a similar app that used my camera's flash and sent a flawless fax.

This app sucks. Every pic u take is all blacked out no matter how many adjuatments I made to my cam settings. You need to offer an upload feature to upload the pdf then fax.

The fax went through but it was completely black. Don't waste you're memory. Apps like this that don't work should be removed from the market!

I sent a test fax to work and it was completely unreadable. Tried messing with the white balance in the settings, but it helped none. Maybe one day this will be a reality; would be convenient.

Tried changing settings with no luck. Would try again if the ability to add photos from gallery was added... Or app camera software was fixed.

worst six dollars ever spent. the recipient of fax said black edges of fax drained their ink cartridge. had to break up into three pages tobe legible

Every time I would try to click the tab to scan page my phone would freeze. I couldn't even back out of the app or press my home key I had to take my battery out. if you are looking for an app to freeze your phone and possibly soft brick it this is the app for you if you want to fax for free this may not be the greatest.

Would not take a good pic at all. Must give to much personal info imo

App blows! I suggest someone make a REAL fax app, and make it free

The scan looked great then blacked out each time. Too bad I couldn't just FAX items made w my other cell scanner.

Unable to send any fax. Continued to give unknown sender message.

Tried to send using droid x would not send. Picture quality poor. Put app out of it's misery. DELETED

Capture pages only by camera, no option to select from gallery. After capture, image transferred to black n white with horrible, horrible resolution, you cant even tell images from text, thats how horrible it is! Not even greyscale, nop, its black and white! The newspaper image they have in the app photos in Play Store is for sure a photoshopped one. Absolutely useless app.....

Simply not worth the hassle. I never even got to send a single fax because the scan came out dark and unreadable every time.

Photo of fax should be taken in white light (florescent) for better quality faxes. E-mail confirmation is unnecessary since already limited.

I was only able to take one picture properly. The camera was distorted after that. Tried several times and uninstalled it.

Receiver couldn't read, image they received was literally the size of a thumbnail image on regular sized paper. Half of image was sold black though showed as clear in the app.

Terrible quality. U can't make out the fax. I have tried plenty of times . More light , less light. Brighter ,darker. Garbage app!

Wow absolutely worthless. If i wanted to send an all black page ill do it with a marker

I hardly ever need a fax sent and I was away from home and needed one sent immediately. This app was just good enough. I had to take multiple pictures to "scan" my paper because the camera option was horrible. I couldn't even see my paper, just had to click and pray. Since I got the free version I only get one page per day, which suited my needs. I don't rely on faxes on an everyday basis. If you need a page sent immediately and can't get anywhere else this app is okay.

Now it won't show the paper being scanned, even after reinstalling it. Hope they fix it.

Under any light or position the"scan" is completely dark and you can't even read what your faxing, no matter what you do. When it scans it does not use the flash on my camera. You also can't attach from your photo gallery. Save your time don't bother with this one.

Great idea. And I did send a fax, however it was barely readable. Please fix this or allow us to upload images from our own photo gallery. If this were possible, I'd give it five stars.

You can read or see anything. It's useless. I don't know of actually faxes cause there's no point trying to send cloudy black blotches.

Cannot attach document to send via fax ... mudt use camera and resolution not good ... Samsung galaxy note 2 user

First of all by default the program does a very poor job of taking a camera image in converting it into a viable fax. Second instead of allowing you to use the camera on your phone with the features of the camera software optimize the photograph to then send to the application, this application requires you only to use their interface.

The free verision won't let you send a pdf, and the camera didnt even give me a preview before I shot the doc on my epic 4g

I thought the picture looked bad then i realized you can change setting. Opne the pic, dont just look at the small one on the fax screen.

This app sucks and the service sucks! You can't send existing documents already on your phone and the camera interface gives you a screen full of vertical lines until you hit the capture button. Once you send, you have wait for an email with a webpage link to follow before it will actually send the FAX. Then the service wasn't compatible with my FAX machine/MFP. The FAX failed twice before giving up and sending another email saying "Delivery Failed - No FAX machine detected on the receiving end"

Works as advertised one suggestion to the developer you may wanna track downloads by cell number or something because I was able to just uninstall and reinstall to bypass the 1 fax per day limit...

Droid2 And the image comes out like garbage. This is the first app I've ever commented on. Don't waste your time.

Does not work. Forces you to "scan" page through app, but does not "scan." I can take a photo of my page perfectly with built in camera, but since forced to use the nonfunctioning "scanner" w this app, only get totally black scan or b&w stripes of fuzzyness. Junk! Don't waste your time with the frustration of this junk app.
